I believe that the errata file (which is short; yay!) should be available on Thursday. It's being incorporated into the PDF.
As for clerics losing their heavy armor... while I can understand the disappointment, the cleric was, in 3.5 (along with the druid but for other reasons) the class that had the most over the top craziness going on. It HAD to be reigned in here and there, and removing heavy armor did that very well; it also helped make paladins and fighters cooler in that they're now the heavy armor classes (and also helped to further create a difference between a cleric and a paladin).
It's only one feat to get heavy armor back if you really want it, and you get more feats than you did in 3.5... I know that might feel like a hollow bit of reassurance. Compatibility with earlier editions isn't THAT hurt, since there's traditionally been less feats for clerics to want anyway, and with more feat slots available by 5th level, getting heavy armor proficiency back without having "less" feats than the 3.5 version did is easy.
Another thing to keep in mind is that medium armor has increased in power, as a way to try to make it a more viable category of armor than it was in 3.5. So while your cleric is now limited to medium or lighter armor unless you take a feat to get heavy armor, medium armor in PFRPG is better than it was in 3.5.
And chances are still pretty good that with the combination of medium armor, shield of faith, shield proficiency, and magic vestment that the party cleric's STILL going to have one of the higher ACs in the party anyway.
I won't clutter this thread up, other than to say I appreciate the explanation (and still disagree with the change, very much). I was just making an off-hand joke and don't want to derail anything with an ill conceived side comment.
On the other hand, I had already read that you guys were diligently fixing things that you have caught up to this point and are putting those fixes in the PDF, and I applaud your efforts to keep on top of such things. You guys really are dedicated, and deserve the kudos for that effort.

Well I agree with it, and there goes my first official (cos I know the rule in the book) house rule change. I have it that if you drop an armour prof you get 2 extra skill points and 1 extra class skill (and vice versa BTW). That won't change but if a cleric drops to no armour prof for 6 skill point (and take the associated house ruled hit die and BaB progression drop as well... ala a cloistered cleric) they will get, like my house ruled wizards, double value from knowledge skills. But one Knowledge skill, get one free ;-)

Clerics can get that heavy armor back by third level. Based on the NPC Gear table, a character with three heroic levels would only then have the money to grab half-plate (who really wants to run around in splint or banded mail, anyway?). With all the extra feats PCs get now anyway this is totally a change in the cleric I can happily live with.

Just curious will the errata be posted seperate somewhere else? I'm already spending 60$ dollars on the book when it gets to my FLGS. I have no intention of buying the PDF to get the errata. Same thing with the conversion guide will it be offered for free or do you have to buy the PDF?
Is I had to bet, my money would be on a free download for the errata. What conversion guide (sorry if I missed a staff meeting)?

I take it that you've not purchased the Rules Compendium, then....
I thought the $49.95 was for 99% accuracy. If you pay the extra .05 you get the errata.
