Don't fill up the thread with lots of posts while I'm gone...

I don't think there is much chance of that happening today. :/

What's going on? I hope it's just a matter of being busy and not something dire. :(

Nothing huge. Just trying to get ourselves steeled for a fight with Horry County Schools as neither the school our oldest was at or the one that is considered his home school are showing much interest in trying to teach him. :\ I am going to have to have an IEP done and maybe after that have him placed in yet another school. But its going to be a battle. Lazy schools!

Past that the girl has been a Holy Terror for the past two days, she is like jacked up and I cant get her to calm down.
We took them to a Fall Fair at the turn bridge. They painted pumpkins, made goodie bags, had their faces painted, had pop corn and snow cones, the hubby ate 5 hamburgers and 2 hot dogs(all free) And they played a few games, till the rain scared us off.
Now I am settling in to try to get this homework conquered, maybe, if I can get the headache to subside. And then tonight I have a club sale at one of the "Gentlemen's Clubs" here in town. Hey at least I get paid to be there right?

Had to drive. :(

I did have one when I first got there, but then drank soft drink the rest of the night.
Next time I am definately drinking tho (even though it is gonna cost me a frickin' fortune).

My nephew is as cute in person as he is in his photos. :)
Successfully ignored the brother-in-law. (The one who's married to my youngest sis, not the one who's married to Scott's mama. That one wasn't there.)
Overall a pretty good day.

Sorry about that and hope it is resolved quickly and for the better.

My sister got lucky with my two nephews, they are usually pretty good unless exposed to sugar. I'm a little worried about the youngest sometimes, but with any luck he'll grow out of it.

Hope your headache subsides and work tonight goes well.

Edit: Hope Moorluck doesn't get stomach ache from all that food.

Sorry about the school stress. I kinda know how that goes--I had to virtually stalk the Vice Principal of my son's elementary school to get him placed in the right class.

It sounds like you had fun at the fair, though.

I did it once, but wasn't but buzzed. I nearly gave myself a heart attack all the way home, and now drinking is done at home or next door.

Never heard anything about comas. Really? I did hear that even low amounts of alcohol and low doses of tylenol together can lead to an increased risk of liver damage over several years.

Not sure I drink enough for liver damage? :\

Solnes wrote:

You're probably fine. I was thinking of this:

"...even moderate social drinkers (3 or fewer glasses of alcohol a day), who ingest acetaminophen are at risk for acute liver failure. Even recommended "safe" doses -- 2 - 6 pills within a 24-hour time period -- could result in hepatotoxicity."

I'd guess you probably don't take them together frequently enough to be at any real risk.

Sorry if I caused any added worry or stress.

I find it helps if I lock myself in the bathroom for about a half hour before any meeting with school personnel and say all the things I really want to say while no one else is around to hear them. This usually keeps the rage in check long enough to get through the meeting. Usually.

Well, you could always try my other favorite tactic. While you're talking (and it's important through this to keep your voice pleasant - they find it more disturbing that way) just picture the jerk you're talking to being horribly, slowly, painfully tortured. I'm told that the resultant smile is somewhat disturbing. Kind of a Wednesday Addams vibe. This works best for in person meetings. They don't get to appreciate the full intimidating value of it over the phone. ;)
