And the new bathroom cleaner didn't give me asthma troubles. Two bathrooms thoroughly scrubbed and still no wheezing. Hurrah! :)
Even better I'm almost done cleaning the house. The last time this place was clean was....June? or was it May?
Yay for a non-asthma causing cleanser!
Do you have a problem with dust? When we cleaned up my son's room this weekend, I was knocked out for a day from allergies. I can only imagine what it would have done to someone who gets asthma.
Yeah, dust is bad. I don't dust. Ever. It drives my husband nuts, but not nuts enough to actually dust. :P (In actual fact, I do dust once a year. It makes me really sick so I usually like to time it right around November when my other allergy triggers are low. Since he has promised to help more around the house I'm hoping to pawn that task off this year. But I doubt I'll be that lucky.)
What really knocks me out and gives me trouble is bleach based cleansers. Ammonia based ones aren't so great either. But I found this new 'green' cleaner that's not noxious at all, so that's good.
I need to dust our house badly..I don't think it has been done in a very long while! However, tonite I dusted our store...and ugh, it has been way too long...and we just moved into the new place! I have no allergies to it and I feel ucky!

BTW, Lynora, just my own 2 coppers, but I think they are old enough to help clean up there own messes at that age. Just a thought from an old grumpy dad, whose daughter still loves him and didn't turn out too badly.
(I know there are people on this board who remember the two-year-old with the detergent story, but they may never see this thread...though both of the other parties involved post here from time-to-time.)
If you don't mind me asking, Mairkurion, how old are you daughter and step-son?
Daughter is 22, stepson just turned 20. Yeap, my wife and I both started early, but I started REALLY early.

lynora, try the Simply Green line of cleaning products, they work really well and are very sensitive. I have allergic reactions to most cleaning agents and bleach in particular.... I still wish I had told Solnes that before she she washed my undies in bleach that first time. ;P
Yeah, that's the kind I got. :) And I feel your pain about the laundry. I'm allergic to like, everything, and I hate staying in hotels. Towels, sensitive areas, hives...you get the idea. :P I swear hotels pick whichever detergent they can find that has the most dyes and perfumes in it to wash their stuff in.

Oddly enough, the meta-plot could be characterized for some as:

Right on the first count. But the second is a sub-plot so as not to alienate lynora. But it really is all about the

Lynora is also a Jill of the Jacks. She unalienatible.
So, so true. :)
And believe me, they've tried. ;) ...but not too much. After all, there are only a few Jills willing to put up with them. :)
But I still appreciated the Hugh Jackman subplot. I mean, what's not to like? He's Hugh Jackman. Mmm. Yummy. ;)
