Aldric runs into the room, avoiding the pit, and gives Sturdy some quick healing.

Double move to G7. Healing word on Sturdy. He can spend a healing surge and regain hit points equal to his surge value plus 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5.


Male Tiefling Warlock 2

Aglaeca throws his torch, 20 to 30 feet ahead and relying on the expanded light range and his own low light vision attempts to shot any goblin caught offguard.

Move:Throw Torch
Minor: Curse Any Enemy he sees (+1 ac)

A torch flies over and lands at the feet of a single cackling goblin and when the little figure looks down, suddenly he has a hard time finding much humor in the tumbling goliath. A mere second later he drops to his knees and falls dead, a tiefling who means business stands across the room and watches.

The sound of other creatures stirring nearby grows quickly and without pause.

Quinn pulls back on his bow, ready to shoot the next enemy that approaches.

Readying a Jinx Shot against the next enemy to come within 10 squares. If there is an enemy within that distance already, just assume I used it against him. 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 121d10 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6


Quinn, I'll give you the option here since I have two enemies triggering your condition. There is the goblin across the way and the rat swarm down in the pit

Suddenly the squeaking of rats intensifies as a swarm of rats peels from cracks in the walls of the pit and begin gnawing on the goliath.

From the hall a second goblin comes and mourns the loss of his friend by firing a crossbow bolt at the tiefling.

Posting this early.
Aldric backs up to E7 to get a running start. He moves to H6 and jumps to I5 and continues on to J4 (that is 5 squares of movement).

Athletics 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14. Check divided by 5 equals how many squares I jump, and I only need to jump one square.

Then Aldric swings at the goblin with his mace.

Priest's Shield 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19. Damage 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10, and if it hits I have a +1 power bonus to AC until the end of my next turn.


Male Goliath Warden 7

Earth Spikes, 1d20+9=24 vs Rats AC, 1d10+5=11 damage. Until the end of my next turn, the target's space and each square adjacent to it are filled with spikes. Any enemy that enters this spike-filled area or starts its turn there takes 5 damage. Sturdy also activates his Stone's Endurance encounter power, Minor Action, He gains resist 5 to all damage until the end of his next turn. Save vs ongoing 3 damage, 1d20=8


Male Tiefling Warlock 2

Aglaeca looks for more goblins to kill but failing that he will take a potshot at the rats in the bottom of the pit.

Minor, Curse any Goblins or failing that curse the rats
Move, none or move up 1 square to shoot rats
Standard, Eldritch Blast 16 to hit for 5 damage


Sorry about no post yesterday, went car shopping with the girlfriend It ran a little longer than we had hoped haha

The goliath down in the trap lifts his hands bringing with them spikes of earth that tear through the floor of the keep, they pick up multiple rats and harm even more of them. Hit

While the earth is tearing from the ground Aldric makes a running leap over the gap and over the emerging spikes, he hits the ground running and slams his mace into the goblin's rib cage. Hit

The trouble making tiefling steps to the trap to help his friend and unleashes a blast of eldricth energy at them, successfully picking off a few more Hit

The rats have an aura that I had missed, on the start of a turn where an enemy starts next to them they get a basic melee attack as a free action

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 101d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

By the way, visually speaking that was a very cool turn of events.

Quinn steps forward and fires a single arrow at the goblin, already sure of the fight's end.

Move to E5 and using Prophesized Strike against G (Next attack against him is rerolled if it hits.) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 141d10 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5


Quinn makes a valiant effort to hit the goblin across the room but just isn't able to make his target no matter how sure he is of the outcome.

Down in the pit the rats continue to swarm the Goliath.

With the cleric in its face the goblin tries to hold him off while he calls out for help from his comrades.

Down the side hall two other goblins emerge armed with crossbows, one of them loads a shot in and fires towards the Tiefling.

Neither of Verjacks attacks do anything to the approaching goblinoids, the stand short and menacing as ever.

I'll jump the gun, since it's unlikely that Sturdy is going to be attacking the goblin anyway.

Aldric swings his mace at the goblin again, but maintains a strong defensive position.

Priest's Shield 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 vs AC, 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 on a hit, and on a hit I gain a +1 power bonus to AC until the end of my next turn.


Male Tiefling Warlock 2

If there is a goblin within 4 squares of the pit, agaeca will curse it and Force Grip him, into the pit hopefully, otherwise Eldritch Blast the nearest Gobbo.

(invisible castle is down , I will roll live or you may reroll as you please gm)

Infernal Grasp on a Goblin with 4 squares of the pit(rolled 11 +5) 16 vs Fort for (Rolled 2d8+4 for 8 and 5 +4 and 1d6 for 1)18 damage and slide 4 into the pit.

OR

Eldritch Blast on a gobbo. (rolled 19 +5) 24 to hit, for (rolled 1d10+4 for 3 +4 and 1d6 for 4) 11 damage

Earth Shield Strike, 1d20+9=25 vs Rats AC, 1d10+6=8 damage and I'll mark the rats, not likely they're trying to attack anyone else anyways. Also, +1 power bonus to AC until the EOMNT from attack power if hits. My Earth Spikes shrivel away.
Save vs 3 ongoing damage, 1d20=3


Male Goliath Warden 7

I just realized that Sturdy has the following racial feature which I will use beginning next round.
Font of Life: At the start of your turn, you can make a saving throw against one effect that a save can end. On a save, the effect immediately ends, preventing it from affecting you on your current turn. If you save against being stunned or dazed, you can act normally on your turn. If you save against ongoing damage, you avoid taking damage. If you fail the saving throw, you still make a saving throw against the effect at the end of your turn.

Aldric's mace lands firmly in the ribcage of the goblin in front of him, blood spews from his mouth. hit and bloodied

Behind Aldric, the tiefling Aglaeca is up to his usual tricks. The focus of his attack goes flying towards the pit. 1d20 ⇒ 10 Save vs. falling in.

Down in the pit Sturdy continues to fling rats off of him, crushing them as he does so.

Next to the goblin on the floor the rats continue to gnaw on Sturdy's armor and flesh.

In the hallway nearest Aldric, a new goblin approaches the fight. He and his companion both jab at the Cleric with spears, presumably trying to poke and prod him into the pit.

Font of Life Saving Throw vs 3 ongoing damage, 1d20=6, so Sturdy takes 3 damage.
Sturdy, still bleeding from the Rats' bites focuses his attack upon them instead of the goblin stuck in the pit with him.
Earth Shield Strike, 1d20+9=11 vs Rats AC, 1d10+6=7 damage and +1 power bonus to AC until the EOMNT if a hit. Sturdy will also mark the Rats and the Goblin in the pit with him just in case he tries to climb out.
Regular Saving Throw, 1d20=6


Male Human Cleric 2

Aldric swings his mace at the bloodied goblin, and invokes Amaunator to provide healing.

Healing Strike on goblin at K4: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13, damage 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (3, 1) + 5 = 9. If it hits, the goblin is marked by me and I heal my surge value +1.

Shift to J3.

Minor Action: Healing Word on myself. Healing surge + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ 3.

Also, in this post I gave a healing word to Sturdy. Sturdy, did you use that? I need to know how many I have left.

Oh, and if Verjack killed my goblin, I will use the same power and rolls as above, but on the goblin next to him instead.

Quinn draws back on his bow and fires a distracting shot at one of the goblins attacking Aldric.

The tiefling continues to fire blasts of energy across the room which no doubt scare the goblins, but nothing more.

Up above and as one Goblin falls dead into the arms of another, anger grows. The Warrior who coddles his comrade lets him go and moves to attack the nearest target, the Cleric.

I cannot tell you how sorry I am about the current infrequency of my posts. My sister has just become sick with swine flu and I've been taking care of her kids and will be doing so for the next few days. I hate to see my game start moving at this slow of a pace and I will be making efforts to speed it up some, I will be dropping out of a couple of my other play by post games as I feel dedicating more time to this game and my one oldest pbp should take priority if I only have limited time to work with for the time being. Thanks for hanging in there.

No problem, DM. You do what you have to do. I think we can handle it being slow for a little while longer.

Also, by my calculation, the goblin's attack on Aldric was a miss. The goblin rolled a 17, and my AC is 18, or was it an attack on some defense other than AC? (Or are you using my old Wisdom Cleric stats? When I respec'd, I had to beef up the AC a little, because I knew he would be going toe to toe with bad guys.)
