Background

Growing up as a young boy in Impiltur, Verjack heard tales of how his grandfather was lost during the Shadowstorm in Sembia. This nutured a resentment against the Church of Shar. This drive brought him to the teaching of Saint Daelegoth Orndeir. Prior to the spellplague, Saint Orndeir had raised the eternal sun over the Dragon Coast and fought the Shadovar. This lead to the text covering the ancient inquisitors of the Temple of the Eternal Sun.

After learning the invocations needed to spark the power of Amaunator, Verjack set out into the world to do battle with the forces of darkness. On his way, Verjack came across the Purple Knights of Cormyr. After hearing that a cult of Shar might be present in a small town, Verjack jumped at the opportunity to do battle with the old family enemies.
