Dear Paizo Staff,

You were probably wondering why your favorite iconic character didn't show up for work today. By now, the title of this thread has answered that question. Presently, your Varisian sorcerer/monk is safe and secure in my secret dungeon lair.

Don't bother sending adventures to track her down; they won't be able to find her. If you want to see Seoni again, your only choice is to meet my list of demands. My first five demands are as follows:

1) The Beta rules are not compatible with my 3.5 House Rules. You will rectify this situation by turning the final Pathfinder RPG into an exact reprint of the 3.5 PHB. But not the 3.5 PHB as written; the 3.5 PHB as misinterpreted by me.

2) I am disappointed by your lack of an Absolom poster map, and even a lavish, ten-panel map would be insufficient to quench my resulting nerd rage. You will make available for purchase a three-dimensional scale model of the entire city.

3) The historical inaccuracy of your artwork is ruining the game. To remove any hint of anachronism, all sourcebooks will now be illustrated with paintings done by European masters during or prior to the fifteenth century.

4) I shall be crowned All-Time RPG Super-Duper-Star, Past, Present, and Future. The appropriate tag will be appended to my name whenever I post on your boards, the WotC boards, or Craigslist.

5) As All-Time RPG Super-Duper-Star, Past, Present, and Future, I shall be listed as a special guest at Paizocon 2009, though I shall not be obligated to make an appearance, should scheduling conflicts prevent my attendance.

Your products, boards, and events will conform with these requests. The fate of Seoni is in your hands.

Oh well, it was nice knowing you Seoni!

Say hi to everyone in Elysium for us!

Dark Archive

Ah with Seoni gone Lini will see more Spotlight. I say we refuse the demands.

Liberty's Edge

Thanks Meepo. We're getting a little too serious on the boards, aren't we? Way to keep us distracted with bread and circuses. :)

PS I'll be fine as long as the elf rogue is safe and sound. >;) >;) nudge nudge saynomore.

I can hear the Pathfinder authors writing up Seoni's twin sister Seona right now!

Monk? Oh no, you kidnapped Sajan when he decided to spontaneously try on Seoni's clothes [for comfort??].

The fan girls will go mad! The fanboys will go even madder!!

The Exchange

How do you know she isn't just a doppelganger that the Golem keeps around as a body double? I mean, you can't expect her to pose for her own artwork! Sheesh. A wizard's got to study, ya know?

All right, it's time to get the posse together. There are just some lines you don't cross. You don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't spit in the wind, and you don't EVER withhold Seoni from the Paizonites. Who's with me?

Only one thing to do. Send in the pirate/ninjas

Liberty's Edge

Im with ya, though not having Seoni around will make alot of gamerz less distracted (LOL) but we need her, especially with the upcoming epic adventures the Darklords of Paizo have cooking up in their seattle stronghold!
Come on all, lets get her back!

I prefer monkeys and robots. Much more mayhem.

There's plenty of room for pirates, ninjas, AND robots. What's important is getting Seoni back! Oh, and some incidental carnage. No one said all the robots, pirates, and ninjas had to make it back, after all. I'm surprised the Jacks haven't come running, now that I think of it . . . .

Since when is Seoni a monk? That girl's as chaotic as they come.

Believe me, I know.

Epic Meepo has merely captured Mirror Universe Seoni. Thought he would have figured it out by the goatee, but there we go. This problem should solve itself soon enough.

It doesn't matter if this is a doppelganger, a twin sister, a clone (well, OK, that might be too much), or the real Seoni. We need to rescue her. It's the principle of the thing.

I'm with anyone who slips Jim Croce references into a fantasy world, because it's just... kinda twisted.

(applauds)

Who?

CourtFool wrote:

Jim Croce. He opened the world's first gym and invented crocheting.

It looks to me that Mr. Meepo is the next winner in the "Who Gets a Bella Sara Avatar?!?"

This may seem odd, but I AM a nerd

Spoiler:

Seoni is a Sorcerer.
She has no levels in monk or wizard thus seen.
She is not chaotic, her alignment is LN, and everything about her is about planning and so on.
She worships Pharasma, and is LN, her resting place would be either Boneyard or Axis.

Sorry, but get your basic details right, at least what her class is! Your nerds for godssakes!

Lantern Lodge

Meh! Seoni was over-rated. It's time to see some new blood amongst the Iconic line-up. How about trading her for a Half-orc?

Spoiler:
Would be so awesome if Paizo ran with this plot, starting with their their blog, changed their art orders for future products to edit Seoni out, then released a Pathfinder adventure titled "Seoni's ransom" :-)

Lantern Lodge

Spoiler:
What if this is all part of some larger elaborate plot, and Seoni was a Chelish (or some other, perhaps other-worldly, a shape-changed something from Castroval etc?) secret agent all along?

Ya think Mike McCartor is up to a rescue attempt? I haven't heard much from him in ages... I am betting his ninja-fu is weak now.

my bear wizards with laser on their eyes are at your disposal mylady... go and bring back the sorceress... so she can keep modeling her own art.

in the meantime I will keep Merisiel company... she has been unwell since her precious friend dissapearance... she has begun saying everyone will die and she will still be young... but not worries... we will confort her.

The Exchange

Yeah. And he's even spelling his name differently!

What about sending in the badgers? There's 14 of us using this avatar - we should be able to do a significant amount of damage.

Spoiler:
Yes, this is a joke set up. Who wants to take the second half?

We don't need no steenking badgers!

You shall not speak ill of the Gninja Master! :O

*readies the cookie shurikens*

Wait! We can still use the badgers! And we would of course be honored by the presence of the esteemed ninja master McArtor or his servants, for stealth is a great skill to have for any rescue mission. Shurikens are even better. Come, Paizonians! It is time! Epic Meepo may have taken Seoni, but now we are ready! CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bears, onward! Badgers, onward! Monkeys, robots, ninjas, and pirates, into the fray!

*bashes down the door to the dungeon*

Meepo, Epic or not, your perfidy ends now! Release the sorceress or face our wrath!

Umm...You have no wrath...

Now, perhaps, Mr. Meepo is it? you could provide us with proof of your obduction of said Iconic individual and provide us with a list of your demands, in detail, in triplicate. Also, sir, I must demand that you allow the Order of the Red Cross to visit her, assuming you do have said sorceress, at least 3 times a week to assertain her health and mental state. Also, as you may know, having kidnapped her you are required by international law, to provide her with some basic needs such as food, water, and a decent research library allowing her plenty of fresh air and bat guano to practice her art within certain defined perameters.

Good day sir.

Nice! Epic Meepo isn't keeping her locked in the Dark Tower is he? Or shopping in New York?

Great, the makings of a good little battle interrupted by a U.N. envoy. Well, I'm here, might as well look around.

Seoni? You down here? Seoni? I've come to rescue you from this dank, dark, XP-free dungeon!

Now, on the other hand, had he kidnapped that hottie from "Metropolis"...

I seem to recall that you Jacks have gotten a little worked up over Lynora from time to time. Besides, don't you like a good brawl? You can crash Epic Meepo's dungeon!

I've got no objections, so long as the sorceress is safe. I brought some propane along for a reason, now I know what it is.

Only XP is Mr. Meepo, so that's not totally accurate. And all the bears, monkeys, pirates, badgers, and ninjas that followed me in, of course. It was XP-free when I got here.

Seoni?

Nope, not here.

You can always start the fire with Monterrey Jack, Lord Fyre.

Lathiira, Champion of Justice, I must protest your breaking of everything in sight, unless of course you have come with those swanky blue helmets we have been providing with the big red circles on them, then the smaller red circle withing the first circle, and don't forget the fascinatingly well done darkened red circle in the middle. We went extra spiffy on those, by the way, and had them made Masterwork quality with Masterwork Quality Spikes as well (of course turning them into a d3 weapon on the head of a medium creature with a +1 enhancement bonus to hit based upon said MW quality). Sadly, we were unable to procure the explosives and detonators to turn them into the high quality weapons of doom that they should rightly have been.

But that is not important right now...

The important thing, is that we negotiate with this Mr. Meepo, if that is in fact his name, on behalf of the Iconic League of Coolness for the safe return of one of their members, specifically Seoni, AKA The Hotness. For such negotiations to be successfully and safely carried out, I must request for your entire army to stand down, sit and stay, deactivate, and/or wait in the corner with a dunce hat upon its head as each individual of said army is want, and needed, to do.

Thank you.

By the way, please contain any and all fires that you, or your people, creatures, pets or cohorts start.

*Looks over at dragon.*

Sorry, never got the helmets. I think they were returned to sender. The postal service in my area is rather inept, so you might want to make sure of that. While you do that, I'm going to keep looking.

Hey guys, she's not on this level! Let's keep going!
