::Oroth, do you need any help with your transformation? I can channel Sunny Godhead, perhaps some sun energy?::

Aidan's a boy. He's like ten or twelve years old. I don't think he'd like being called a lady. :)

Indeed he does not.

For some strange reason, thought of fire and lava stream through Aidan's mind. He puts such thoughts away for later...

Oops. Sorry.

"It seems we have visitors. Corin send them in. I will answer their questions shortly."

Very well. Boss, if I might open a channel to your essence?

Alaina chants and opens a direct portal to Sunny G's divine essence. SHe is wrapped in a nimbus of sunshine, the many tattoos she has glowing like fiery runes. She steps down the raw power and sends the controlled solar energy into the core of Oroth's being

::Let the healing power of the Sun bring you into the Green Sunchild::

Light engulfs the room as the energy is absorbed by the sunlight essence surronding Oroth. When the light fades, Oroth is standing the middle of the room leaning on a meatl board of some kind. He is massaging his right temple as he stretches.

"Okay, I was wrong, that hurt a little bit. I feel so much.. lighter, like a weight is gone from my shoulders and my heart."

He begins to examine the gear that has appeared with him. On his back is a gold-silver shield emblazoned with the sun, a faintly glowing sword, two rings, a helm studded with gems, a cloak, and a shard of something that glows brighter than the sword.

"All this cool stuff and I have no idea what it is."

Spoiler:
If any want to identify them, the shield is a Mithral Ghost Touch Blinding Shield of Prator, the sword is a Flaming Burst Holy Sun Blade, one ring is a Ring of Major Spellstoring/Sustenence and the other is a ring of Ring of Telekinesis/Protection+5/FeatherFall, the helm is a Helm of Brilliance, the cloak is a Cloak of Charisma+6, the shard is a sun shard. Finally the strange square next to him is shown here. He'll figure out what they are on his own anyway.

Sunny G tilts his head back, closes hi seyes and allows his disciple to harvest his essense. He nods his head forward and exhales deeply.

[i]His method of communication shifts from telepathic to verbal.

"You are whole once again. Hmmm, interesting." His eyes sparkle with curiosity. "It seems your reborn and equipped as well. Several of your items bears the motif of the sun. Odd, I had no intention of doing that."

"Perhaps a certain merchant can identify your equipment for you in the Bazaar?"

He looks at the Cyberdragon. "Add him to your files of guest and visitors. Oroth Sunschild will have a home here in the Sanctum for the time being. Will you require a suite of the upper floors?"

The equipment was part of the essence, but I'll roll with it.

"Thank you Alaina, Sunny G. A normal room will do, I don't wish to impose."

Sunny Godhead wrote:

The dragon scans Oroth's hands and eyes, then adds a picture of Oroth to the file to complete it. There is a slight humming sound, and the file is saved.

Aurora lands just outside the temple's entrance, and Rio hops off to help Serafina down as well. He then opens the door for her and they enter the Sanctum together.

Wow, creepy!

Allura and Aidan are nearly to the top of the tower now.

No, I haven't forgotten you. Finishing up the weekend warrior thing at work. Will read and post replies tonight or tomorrow morning. Have a great sunny day. :-)

I was just pointing out how much longer it is taking to get to one of the best places to see the sun since we're taking the stairs. I hope this doesn't go the way of Icarus...

As you wish, if you're in need of the sanctum's services, feel free to page Bouncer or one of the gravity elementals.

"Of course, asking one of the gravity elementals to activate a gravity shoot would have saved you some time," replies Sunny G, this time both verbally and telepathicly. "Again, welcome to the Sanctum. How may we be of service?"

The omniportal flashes to life as Devlyn, Little Kiba, and a small gray bird enter the Sanctum of the Sun.

"We're looking for someone. We were told he was... here.."

His eyes widen as he sees Oroth without his shadows making him look older, and all the equipment that he has.

"Oro? Is that you?"

Rurouni Kenshin reference!

Which I actually got! :) Remarkable since I haven't seen that show in many years.

"Well," Allura says with a laugh, "that was easier than expected. I'm guessing you two are going to need some time to catch up. Would you mind very much opening one of those gravity shoots for me now," she asks Sunny G. "I think I'll just head back to the lobby."

G%%!~#n hippies.

Devlyn activates his communication crystal.

"Allura? I finally made it to the Sanctum. And I actually have some good news. Where are you and Aidan?"

"We're in one of the towers. Turns out Oroth is actually here, and alive. The boys are catching up right now. I was just about to head down."

Aidan Shade wrote:

"In the flesh lil' bro. Guess your not 'Little Fire' anymore huh? No more than I'm 'Darkeyes'."

They give each other a brotherly hug, glad the other is still alive, then Oroth steps back.

"So how long have I been out of it?"

Oroth Sunschild wrote:
"So how long have I been out of it?"

Kind of long, so I spoilered it. Anyone can look at it. Edit: messed up the post. Stupid edit button being so close to the reply button...

Spoiler:
Aidan:
"A day, maybe more. What happened to you? You're different."

Oroth:
"Not really. I just became what I was meant to be before... you know. But now I feel so much better and I can act like a kid again!"

Aidan:
"Where did all the stuff come from then?"

Oroth:
"I don't even know what it all is. Apparently, the Sun decided to help me out a bit more then just giving me a new body. Want to come with me to find a merchant who can identify it?"

Aidan walks over to the window and opens it, letting a breeze into the tower.
Aidan:
"Yeah, but I'm taking a faster way this time." [i]Without any warning, Aidan jumps out of the window.
Without a thought, Oroth jumps out after him. The strange board in his hand moves under him and Oroth begins to fly on it. When Aidan glides up next to him(his starknives are like propellers on a plane right now, one hovering just below each hand), Oroth almost falls of the board. They begin a aerial game of 'hit your brother on the head for being an idiot', and land in front of the Sanctum. The walk back in laughing.[i]

Allura shrieks a little when the boys jump out the window, rushing over to see, and breathes a sigh of relief when she sees them flying. "You gotta warn someone about that kind of thing, kids," she mutters to herself.

Allura takes the 'elevator' down to the lobby of the Sanctum.

The both look at Allura as she floats down.

Both at the same time:
"Sorry Allura!"

Then they continue laughing.

Devlyn deftly avoids knocking about four people down as he races in the direction of Allura's voice, skidding to a halt (when he realizes it was just Oroth and Aidan surprising her) at the base of the tower, looking for all the world like he was about to keep going straight up the outside of the structure.

Using the communication crystal again:
"Well that's one way to get jangled nerves, isn't it?"

"Sorry, Devlyn. I didn't mean to scare you," she says sheepishly. "The boys jumped out the window without telling me first and it scared me."

"I'm on my way down now."

Allura is quickly but gently sent down to the ground floor by gravity chute.

Well, it probably would have helped if they had also mentioned that they could fly.:)

"Boys will be boys, love - a phrase made all the more fun when there's magic about," he says with a sigh. He waves LK over so he can keep an eye on him (and help Kiba keep up his ruse).

Allura joins Devlyn and Lk on the ground. "Hi guys. So now that we don't have to talk via crystal, what was the good news you wanted to tell me?"

If Oroth had known Aidan could fly, he wouldn't have jumped after him. Seems he knows a little bit about his gear without knowing what all it can do.

"Yep. It looks like Fortune decided to smile on us after all," Devlyn says as he touches his Tymoran holy symbol. "The Dragon Daelemos came to the Grove, and instead of razing the place he showered it with the last stars LJ needed to make herself whole again. We just came from there, since I wanted to make the three of them had time to themselves."

"That's wonderful news! Oh, I'm so glad that's finally all over," she smiled. "After everything else that's happened, I really hope they can get a break for awhile."

"I guess we'll just have to take care of the next disaster that falls in our laps so they can get on with becoming a family," he says with a laugh, then looks up to make sure something isn't falling right this second. :P

"A vineyard and a winery, actually. A new location to sell it out of could be interesting (and would make the folks happy too)."

Cogs start turning....
I wish I had my Aurora's Whole Realms' Catalog with me right now....must do research ;P

Bless you, bright lady :)

I don't remember if any of the wines listed come from the Dalelands (since Devlyn is a native of Deepingdale, specifically). I wanted to see what wine names I could throw around for nostalgia's sake :)

I don't think they ever broke it down by region, though. I may be thinking of Volo's Guide to the Dalelands instead...

Let's see. There's Arabellian Dry, Berduskan Dark, Blood Wine from Aglarond, Clarry which seems to be kinda like a wine cooler, Evermead from Evermeet, Fire Wine made in the Old Empires, Mead from Neverwinter, Saerloonian Special Vat, Saerloonian Glowfire, Saerloonian Topaz, Undermountain Alurlyath, Westgate Ruby, Spiced Wine from Calimshan and Tethyr, Table Wine, and Winter Wine. That's everything that's listed.

Hmmm - I guess my memory is a bit shoddy. I've been away from the Realms for a while now ;P

OTOH, nothing says I couldn't feature some of those too, as they are still Faerunian...

Hey, it's your wine shop. You can feature whatever vintages you like :)

I know - just going for authenticity, and a nod to my fellow Realms-lovers out there. :)

Alrighty, I'll shut up about this for now and head home for the night. I just got a call that a family member's car had a tree fall into its windshield, so I may be doing chauffeur duty for the next few evenings...

See everyone in the morning! :)

I'll post tonight. I'm off to work.

G'morning folks :)
