Quentin chuckles a bit. "I suspect you will be a most effective fisherman, Arioch. Though for myself I prefer to use my hook. I am sure that between us all we will be able to provide ourselves with dinner until we can arrive back at shore. Kauul, let me know if you need a hand at the oars."
He sets about unwinding one strand off his hemp rope until it is of proper length before packing just a bit of ration around the end of his hook and threading it on the line to toss out into water. He shrugs a bit at the others. "Maybe the fish have a worse sense of taste then we do and will enjoy these, hm?"

Start making Con checks against becoming fatigued after 4 hours. DC 10+2/extra hour.
1st: 4 hours @ DC 10 1d20 2=18
2nd: 5 hours @ DC 12 1d20 2=3*after 5 hours of rowing, Kauul lets Nimm take over while carefully moving so as to not flip the boat*
*looks around for Arioch* "How fishing going?" *massages his arms and what of his back he can reach*

Quentin Silverhome |

Once Nimm gets tired, quentin takes his turn rowing.
After three turns at the oars, Quentin finally is wore out.
As for survival though, that is a different matter. Quick is quite comfortable at both fishing and being aware of the local sea-life and how best to avoid it.1d20+5=21
Also, if that was a check to see if we caught any food or the like, I do have a fishhook and such, though I'm not sure if that counts as a bonus or is simply a necessity.

Quentin Silverhome |

Quentin nods to Sanura, frowning a bit. He takes out his rope and ties his pack to the boat just in case. He will cut the rope if need be to make sure the others can do the same.
"I would take off any heavy armors or gear you have and secure it. If worse comes to worse and we go in, at least that way it will stay with the boat and you'll be able to swim back to the boat. Should the boat flip, keep hold of it so it doesn't get pulled away from you. Those of you who are able to stay under the water may wish to do that in order to not get bashed about so much, but you will wish to keep a rope to the boat itself so that you don't get lost from it. Finally, if anyone has any tents or heavy blankets that we could spread across the boat to keep it from filling with water as best as possible, it would be a good plan. Don't know how hard the storm will hit and we don't want to flood faster then we can bail."

Garan |

"I'll take one, thanks," Garan says, but then hesitates, and asks, "can ya err...warm it up a bit?"
Eyeing the storm, Garan will eat his fish, then begin removing most of his armor, grumbling all the while. He'll then begin lashing himself to the boat, and begin fingering a corked potion bottle.

Garan wrote:"I'll take one, thanks," Garan says, but then hesitates, and asks, "can ya err...warm it up a bit?"Tilts his head to one side, "Why?"
She laughs, looking to the gillman. "After having lived on land for a while, I can say that many people prefer to have their meat charred, though I don't care either way."
She then takes a moment, saying a spell, and a ball of flame appears on her hand, "This may work, yes?"

Arioch the Gillman |

Looking at the storm, help the rest of the crew prepare the boat the best we can. Profession [sailor] - #176 1d20 + (+6) = 23 Also try to verify that we are heading towards the closest land Survival #177 1d20 + (+1) = 13 and look at the oncoming storm to determine if magic is involved. Spellcraft #178 1d20 + (+6) = 15

Arioch the Gillman |

Swim is really easy for me, I can help Fin if need be or anyone else. Swim +12, Swim (Avoid taking nonlethal fatigue damage) +10, I can always take 10 on a swim check, even if distracted or endangered. I can even use the run action while swimming, provided I swim in a straight line.

Lynora de Trevante |

Arioch, you are able to grant your shipmates a +2 bonus on their Reflex saves to avoid being swept overboard. Also, you are currently headed in the right direction to eventually reach land. And there is no magic involved in the storm. Just an ordinary storm. On a bigger boat it would be nothing more than a mild inconvenience.

Tossing a profession sailor in there as well as Quentin works to help get everyone prepared.1d20+6=17

Sanura Agashti |

"So who shall be the first to row?" She uses the flame in her hand to cook some of the fish, then causes the flame to vanish. She probably should have used that spell for other purposes in case there was danger, but well, not everyone likes sushi. She then casts Bear's Endurance, holding it and waiting to cast it on the person who will row.

Kauul |

*accepts a couple fish from Arioch and cooks them using his energy ray ability to wreath one hand in fire* "Arioch, good job." *eats the fish and then checks to make sure all his gear is secure*
*looks to the coming storm* "Gorum my Lord. I not fear."
Would Freedom still sink if we just went ahead and flipped her? I have very little real world experience with boats.

Kauul wrote:Would Freedom still sink if we just went ahead and flipped her? I have very little real world experience with boats.Bad idea for those who do not have decent swim, and in rough weather, you would lose your air pocket and it would sink faster than right side up.
damn, I suspected as much....

Im not trained in swim but once out of my armor wont have a penalty either
Survival (1d20+4=16)
Taking a fish, Adrick thanks Arioch and before eating it produces a flame and quickly cooks the creature and begins to eat heartily. He looks to the horizons and notices a storm on the horizons. No sooner had he noticed it had his companions started giving suggestions on how to prepare for the on coming storm. Listening to the words, Adrick takes his pack and begins to rummage through it till he finds his silk rope. Quickly stripping off his armor and placing it in his pack, Adrick then secures his pack to the boat as well as himself with an intricate knot. Profession Sailor (1d20+4=18)
The last thing Adrick does is whispers a brief word to his goddess "Sun Goddess, your humble servant seeks your divine aid. Please watch over our boat and crew. I pray that you keep us safe and afloat in this turmoil and rough sea"

Don't worry about it, heh. I just have had lots of time today because I am on spring break from school. Though I get my daughter tonight so I will likely not be able to post as much from now on.
