So, to build our list of games that are NOT PFS scenarios....but ARE run by attendees....I post this:

If you are wanting to GM your own game at PaizoCon, be it a conversion from a classic 1E or 2E adventure, or from 3.5 to 4E, or just a 3.5/Pathfinder beta game you've written up...whatever it is, if you want to run it, why not propose it here to have it be considered for the schedule?

Post it here if you want all to see and comment on it, OR
Email it to me: timitius at hotmail dot com

Include the following in your pitch:

Title of the game
Description of the game (the back cover kind of text)
Minium/Maximum # of players
Gaming System/edition
Maturity rating (G, PG, R)
Player experience req. (None/some/walking PHB+DMG)
For what Character levels?

Under a Red Sky
Blooded weapons of stone and bone have earned your freedom from the gladiator pits, but as soon as the sweet taste of freedom is on your tongue, you are approached for a very special mission across the desert wastes. Things are never as they seem, and your employer has powerful enemies that wish for more than just their - and your - death. A PF RPG Beta adaptation of the Dark Sun setting.

Players: 2 to 6
Gaming System/Edition: Pathfinder RPG Beta
Maturity Rating: PG13
Player Experience: Some
Character Levels: 10th - Pregenerated characters will be provided - bring your own dice and pencils.

I'm looking forward to it. Haven't done any Dark Sun stuff in aaaaaaaaaaages.

Marco Volo: Departure, Journey, and Arrival
A 3 part adventure that takes the party throughout the realm of Faerun accompanied by a certain bard. ;) There are many twists and turns and nothing seems quite what it does.
Minium/Maximum # of players: 4 to 8
Gaming System/edition: Pathfinder
Maturity rating: PG
Player experience req.: Some but join in the fun if you want to walk up.
For what Character levels? 6 to 8

This is my favorite adventure of all time and I've converted it to the 3.5 ruleset a while back so it's only one hop over to the Pathfinder ruleset. I hope this will work for the convention format because I would like to see the same players for all three parts.

The Exchange

If I can get my hands on a copy of the Rise of the Runelords adventures, I would like to do them in OSRIC to give them that classic feel. Do you think that's possible?

If you are not familiar with OSRIC, here is a link: OSRIC

Yeah, good point. The reason I didn't put in times is that the scheduling doesn't begin until after April 1st. I want a list of games that people want to run so I CAN get them into the schedule of events. Right now, though, I need volunteering GMs, with games in hand, to step up and give me their info.

That said, perhaps you could also tell us when you could run it. Like, what days are you attending? Could you run it opposite of some PFS games, or after 8 PM? In the morning?

That would help down the line when I need to put it in a slot.

So, to add to the list of info needed:

  • When could you run it? (Fri, Sat, Sun....AM/PM/late PM)
  • Prizes?

Yes, prizes. Are you giving stuff away to your players?

Hrm ... whaddabout Scene 1, Chapter 1 of Pawfinder? ^_^

Dark Archive

I'll definitely be GM'ing something, but before committing to a particular game (s) I'd like to see what "official" events are planned and when they'll be starting.

So what do we do if we want to sign up to play? :P

(That sounds like a pretty damn fun adventure)

In theory, you'll be able to sign up for all proposed games at the same time. I'm letting Tim and Lilith handle the organization for the attendee-ran stuff, though, while I'm wrangling the guests and Paizo folks.

I'm adding this to the list! We can try the one sign up, that spans three different slots...or three separate sign ups.

Also, would you prefer all the blocks in one day/night, or spaced out with one session on each of the three days?

The Creeps of the Borderlands

For years, the denizens of the Caves of Chaos have suffered at the hands of the neighboring keep. This night, it ends. This night, they have their revenge. You are a part of an elite group of monsters. Your mission - to slay the castellan, at any cost.

for 4-6 players, using Pathfinder RPG Beta

Rated PG (some comic violence)

Pregenerated monstrous PCs to be provided, level to be determined

Having DM'd the Keep on the Borderlands at least 5 times makes me really want to play this particular game.

Excellent. I will add this one to the list!!!

Anyone else?? You have until March 31st to get your proposed game on the list!

Honestly, I'd like the same group to run all three quests or a good amount of returning players so if you could do one sign-up that would be great. I'd also like something during the day but don't care if it's on one day or three. I'll be there for all the events. ;)

Crap, I've broken down, if you desperately need an extra game slot filled somewhere I could do a d20 game.

Game System: D20/D20 Future Shameless Post Apocalyptic Sci-Fi
Min/Max. Players: 2-6
Player Experience: some preferred
Maturity Rating: Just to be on the safe side I'll say R rating for now, if that's acceptable.
Character Exp and levels: 1st level pre-gens

Why is it shameless? Without giving too much away: "Life in the vault... Is about to change."

Shameless because the game will be entirely based on the aforementioned quotation. Hint, hint... Wink, wink... Nudge, nudge.

An adventure of hard-boiled heroes, lies, and cruel choices among the docks of Absalom.

Players: 2 to 5
Gaming System/Edition: D&D 3.5
Maturity Rating: PG-13
Player Experience: Some
Character Levels: 5th and 6th – Pregenerated characters will be provided, but if you have a character concept you want to see, contact me before the ‘con.

FORGE OF THE LIVING END
Description: Respected townsfolk are vanishing from the bustling coastal city of Drevenport where you've made your home the past few months. Divination says the vanished were kidnapped and now dead but their souls are not in the afterlife. Far worse, with each vanishing, it seems the currents of history are shifting. Oddly, your band seems immune to what's going on. Or are you?
Players: 4 to 6
Edition: d20/3.5 (Uses Secrets of Pact Magic though players don't need it)
Maturity rating: PG-13
Game Experience: Yes please
Level: 7th

I'll supply pregenerated characters for those who want them. One player will win a copy of Secrets of Pact Magic or if they have that already, Villains of Pact Magic.

Palace of the Gnoll Queen
Gnolls are disgusting beasts of lust and wrathe, seizing all they see for the glory of Ixic, the queen-mother of their slavering race. Even living creatures are little more than property to the hyena-men. Captured from your caravan and hauled off to slave pens of their hideous empress, can you and your allies escape armed with nothing but your wits?

Pawfinder Chapter 1: Hairballs of Horror

Player Count 3 to 8
Pathfinder Beta rules set plus other material "borrowed" from such fine supplements as the Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting and Turin's Twisted Mind.
Maturity Rating PG-13 if you're lucky - R if I am.
Gaming Experience Just enough to know the basics of the game...

Starting at 4th level PF Beta gnome-only characters. Pregenerated SPFR's will be available - and might be advisable to reduce psychological trauma. ^_^

I see the overwhelming vote is for Pathfinder Beta. Just not sure I can update enough stuff by the con in light of my insane schedule. But count me in for Pathinder Beta in the meantime. Return to Chinatown
...a man would have to be some kind of FOOL to think we're alone in THIS universe. - Jack Burton

July 14th, KSFX News - Historic downpours have flooded San Francisco's Chinatown, washing away some of the oldest structures built by Chinese immigrants, including the historic Golden Jade Temple. Meterologists are cautioning everybody to stay inside and stay dry, because San Francisco is in for another dark and stormy night.

Is there any Starwars (D6/SAGA) games yet?

Actually, it'd be great if someone (Organizatrix Lilith?) could post a 'provisional' list of games,
so everyone can see what 'genres' are well represented so far, and which ones aren't...

The Exchange

I would love to play a Star Wars SAGA. I definitely could bring whatever a GM needs. I have every Dungeon Tiles they ever made. Galaxy Tiles, every fold out map released (except one). All SAGA books released to date. We have an insane mini collection. I am coming by car, so there is no limit to what can be brought.
