Who doesn't want to see a Pawfinder?!

These ideas are burning a hole in my brain.

Did someone mention Petts?

Oh, wrong sort, I see - carry on...

Seriously, the rules for animals seriously need to be closer to what animals are in real life. There's some important things just missing from the rules. How can we play the game like that???

I mean, it's quite obvious that we need special rules for baby animals, since they have a permanent charm person effect on, and females get a -4 penalty to their saves!

We can start talking about pet Petts, if that would make you feel better. Cuddly little things with cute mouths on the top of their cude little oversized headsbodies, and with such adorable huge single cyclops eyes.

You can't watch one of those east a baby halfling without getting a cute overload.

Has someone been baaaaaad again?

I knew those dwarves were taking the cliché scotsman thing too far! ;-P

Not soon enough!

They got Logue on board. From the stuff he writes, I'd say "strange" needs to be redefined to accomodate him.

And look how well that went down. The Hook Mountain Massacre has serious rockage.

Ah, the chief cultist of Clawthulhu in person. ^_^ I need to come up with a psuedonym for you of course, to protect your identity in the Pawfinder AP.

Kaeyoss - one book - Miniature template, from the Book of Templates, Deluxe Edition pages 95 - 97. One of the example critters is a baby T-rex...

The cute n cuddly ability ... hrm ...

Aura of Cuddly Cuteness (Su) The critter with this aura is perceived by the weak-minded as defenseless, harmless and innocent to the point of sainthood. Living creatures of good and neutral alignments must succeed on a Will saving throw to avoid perceiving the creature as cute and cuddly at a DC of 23. (Evil creatures cannot bring themselves to believe even their own offspring are cute and cuddly, let alone a critter they've never met before.) This functions as an enthrall effect with no HD limit nor any requirement for conscious action on the part of the critter emanating the aura. Lawful Good creatures suffer a -4 penalty on this saving throw, as do saintly creatures and exalted creatures. This -4 penalty stacks with itself, so an exalted saintly Lawful Good creature suffers a -12 penalty on their saving throw. While this is a mind-affecting (compulsion) effect, its insidious nature bypasses one source of immunity to such effects, such as a mind blank or a champion of freedom's class immunity to compulsions. Druids and rangers with animal companions suffer the same -4 penalty as characters of Lawful Good alignment. Lawful Good rangers with animal companions are, of course, in deep trouble ...

I mean really let's focus on the IMPORTANT matters!

Hrm ... I dunno ... I haven't heard THAT many tales about the formidable seductive prowess of sheep ... altough there appears to be a rumors of weresheep ... see local video store IRL, you might find the documentary in question ...
Documentary? I thought that was Scottish porn.

What's the difference between Mick Jagger and an angry Scottish sheepherder?

.
.
.
Mick Jagger says: "Hey! You! Get offa ma cloud!"
The Scottish sheepherder says: "Hey! MacLeod! Get offa ma ewe!"

This ability is perfect for Floofy, Clawthulhu's Lord of Assassins.

LOL! Okay, old gaming story time :)

Back when I started gaming, the glorious rust monster did not have a description of any kind, so our evil DM made it a shape shifter. We had rust "doors" (fighter knock spell results in nekkid fighter), rust "monks" (one hit armor removal <G>) and most evil of all, the rust "kitty"!

Our poor female paladin caught the mewling thing that was apparently running from another monster, and was nekkid, shieldless and weaponless in three rounds. Between the rust kitty and the vorpal cats from Arduin Grimoire, our group just auto-killed anything cute and fluffy with extreme prejudice :)

That's because Krome is a Dwarf. Charisma is all relative between species.

If Pawfinder becomes a reality as a classic, I want to play the Russian Blue proficient in Kung Fu. Also, the high priest of Clawthulu should be named Mr. Tinkles. (In case you don't remember.)

Who can forget the great Minsc with his Int of 5?! I think his Wis was 7 or 8 as well. Talk about a memorable character!

So...when will the first Pawfinder adventure be coming out?

I'm sure Heathansson will be buying copies!

If ponies were included in the rules, I bet Sebastian would buy a copy also.

I wonder ... an awakened war pony with Expert levels should fit Sebastian nicely as a stat block.

just sayin'... ^_^

I would now have to second that this needs to be written, with forumgoers around here getting cameos as characters. Cats, dogs, rabbits, lizards, ponies, you name it!

So the Cult of the Cathuggers and the Temple of the Doglovers have finally brought their war to Golarion. I've seen it all before.

Our world will be torn asunder as thousands of 'Hang In There' posters start to adorn the walls of wizard towers everywhere and riding dogs suddenly find themselves wearing knitted sweaters into battle. Cat's Grace will be replaced by Doggie Dexterity in some parts of the land, while the heavens themselves shake as hound archons begin switching to Meow Mix.

Can anyone discover the secret behind these disturbances in time to save our home?

An adventure designed for four 1st-level characters.

A 3-chapter adventure path in the making.

In the player's guide, the all-gnome party discovers that their frat siblings have gone missing. The only clue they find is a mysterious collar in the odd shape of a paw print amidst the rubble of what appears otherwise to be a 'start of the season' party gone tragically wrong.

In Chapter 1 "Hairballs of Horror" our stumpy action heroes find that a sinister Cult of Clawthulhu is behind the almost-cover-up of the frat party massacre at Glassteel Lake. They four-legged feline cultists performed a dread ritual to stir the ire of the gnome-hating undead ranger from his unmarked grave at the bottom of the lake.

Once they deal with the masked machete-wielding bedroll-grappling lake revenant, our traumatized heroes follow the catnip trail from the site of the ritual to the local catnip dealer. The trail leads from the addicted dealer of catnip to a sacred Cult temple complex in an ancient, enormous bath house ruin known as Hwarf'yeh. Yet a final clue leads them to ...

Chapter 2 "Doggies of Doom" the clue found at Hwarf'yeh directs our stumpy action heroes to tangle with the doggy minions of Al'poh, an obscure canine gawd of kitty slaughter and hedonistic doggy pleasures. Our heroes' last stand against the wrath of Al'poh is in a tree fort in a pitched battle with the local cult leader, a druidic...

Will the Pawfinder rules include miniatures rules that provide adaptations for usage of plushies like Pound Puppies and Pound Purries?

Is the saving throw to resist the temptation of catnip a Will roll or a Fortitude roll?

Actually, they should be scaled for Beanie Babies. More readily available and still have a high collectability factor for those who just have to have that ultra-rare impossible to find for less than a week's salary figure.

Besides, maybe then my wife's collection will be worth something again.
Gurubabaramalamaswami wrote:

Will to resist. Fort for the after-effects. Options for physical dependency and addiction should be treated as a disease and a curse, much like Lycanthropy. A character so afflicted suffers penalties on their Will save, but a similar bonus on their Fort save to be able to function afterward.

I do believe, looking at a couple of beanie critters sitting on my game map next to me, that the typical beanie critter is a Huge critter in 1" = 5' game scale...

Work is in progress on Pawfinder, so ideas are being gleefully mined, pillaged, stolen and mutated.

Not a bad day yesterday, a few pages of document generated so far, mostly of the 'player's guide' variety.

I expect to start the actual first chapter in a few hours' time!

Of course he is kidding! There is no Cult of Clawthulhu...why would you think that? Even if there were, there certainly wouldn't be people working on a ridiculously awesome Pawfinder Adventure Trail as we speak. That's just crazy talk.

Perhaps! Although serpentfolk tend to have a certain fondness for being sly, tricky, and behind the scenes, no? ;) Although certain brutes do tend to figure that if you can eat it, you should.

Not furry Sir Mitchell, "pet oriented", but most definitely NOT furry.

That is thusfar the tentative plan though, to provide as early as possible an 'open license' mini-series of modules for Paizo's Pathfinder rules set. As things presently stand, I'm using the Pathfinder Beta rules set along with everything else I have at my disposal that is open content to put this project together. Doombunny is on deck to contribute interior artwork as well.

My Appologies but which book is the Pathfinder MM? I am a bit out of the loop over the past several months in regards to pathfinder and would love to purchase or aquire a copy of the MM.

Thank you for your time.
