Why was I charged twice for this order? I was charged once for $39.99 and charged a second time for $3.60. The total amount equals what I should have been charged, so why the two charges?
I ask this because
1) It looks weird on my bank statement
2) Makes me wonder if I have been overcharged
3) Wastes my time checking to make sure I wasn't
4) Raises doubt about the trust I put in Pazio to not misuse my credit card info

Ubermench,
I'm at home, and so can't look at your order details, but I have a suspicion about what's going on here: we only charge you when we ship your items, so if you purchased an electronic download (such as a PDF) in the same order as something that required shipping, we'd charge you immediately for the PDF (as you can immediately download it), and we'd charge the balance as those items are packed up to leave our warehouse.

Nope, this shipment was just my standard subscription.

Ubermench,
This order wasn't your subscription—it was two older Pathfinder Chronicles books, for which you used the holiday promotion code, so you were supposed to have received a $3.60 discount. The multiple charges are a result of an error in the application of the promotion—we correctly charged you $39.99, and then we mistakenly charged the $3.60. We'll refund that to your card tomorrow—please accept our apology for the inconvenience.
We're aware of some other orders with similar discount-related problems; we'll also be fixing them (and refunding as necessary) tomorrow.

I still have not been refunded the $3.60 that I was over charged.
I apologize for the delay. On Jan 7 we tried crediting your card, but it was declined for some reason. I do not have any indication of why it was declined. However, I tried re-crediting your card this morning, and everything went through perfectly (I double-checked).
thanks,
cos
