My idea is creating racial weapon templates, to allow most any weapon to be modified to fit in with the race's style/vibe. This means that you get an infinite amount of weapons with only a few additional lines of text. If in a given setting your elves are desert dwellers stick it on a scimitar, a falchion, and a katar and call it a day. This could smooth out a lot of world-building, provide a lot of options, help encourage consistency.
These should be considered exotic weapons for anyone who doesn't have the appropriate race, and martial weapons for them.
Dwarven: Resists Sundering, +1 for Size for Damage
Elven: Can be Finessed, +1 Crit Range
Halfling: Can be Concealed or Masked with +5 to Slight of Hand
Orc: +2 Damage, +1 Crit Multiplier
Problems? Other Racial Weapon Ideas? Other Solutions?

I see a lot of potential for abuse. An orc with a modified falchion would threat on a 17, 13 with a keen weapon and have +2 damage? erm...
These were just off the top of my head example ideas, not properly tested or nothing. So What's something which would be worthwhile but have less potential for abuse?

Everything can be abused.
I have a player who is playing a half-orc barbarian in PRPG rules and at 1st level he could routinely roll 40 on his to hit roll. I checked and it is all legit. Just munchkinned out the guy like crazy! (We are using splat books to see how PRPG works with compatibility and other books).
I like these ideas a lot. Probably play test them and see how they do.
However, I think that at this point in the Ruleset, there isn't a tremendous need for these templates. I can't think of anything already broken that needs them. But they are a cool idea.
I think if Paizo ever makes an Unearthed Arcana type of book, something along these lines should go in.
