The identity of the GAG has been revealed
Thoughts? Confused looks as you wonder "who's that"?
I don't know Anthony Gallela personally but I do know how I feel about the state of Origins since he has been at the head of GAMA. My opinions have not been very high.
I have been to Origins as a GM, a fan, and a vendor in the exhibit hall. While the con has never been terrible, it has never been what it was when Wizard's owned it. And certainly nothing like Gencon was under Peter.
I will admit there are many reasons why Origins seemed to drop, not all of them GAMA's fault.

So wait, the same group runs both Gen Con and Origins now? I hope they don't try to merge the two or anything like that, as I live in Columbus and Origins is pretty much the only con I am reliably able to attend, and if they do merge, the result sure as hell won't be in Columbus...
So you've been going to the Society games at the Armoury, right?
And I agree, I like having Origins in my home town. I heard once from a Catalyst Commando that Origins is for play, Gen Con is for work.

No they arn't: GenCon LLC Declined the buyout off from GenCON Accquisition Group (at least as of last time I was caught up...)

You should always beware when one company that provides a service attempts a buyout of another company that provides a near-identical service.
Especially if that near-identical service is more successful and more popular.
And occurs at about the same time every year as the first company's service.
And the buyer keeps their identity secret.
And includes conditions specifically to oust the owner of the second company.
I'm no conspiracy theorist but: "Remember, remember, the fifth of November...."
