GM

The "Halfling " rolls his eyes. " Ya just gatta go on de dock." with that me moves toward the harness

Male Chessentan human Paladin/Rogue 1st/1st
Keen wrote:

"Pilot a skiff? I can barely swim. If we can't all fit in the skiff together maybe we can go in 3s? I don't like the idea of splitting up though." Keen looks at Teelos' body as he says that.

Keen will go third or 4th in the group.

Reg nods back fully understanding.

"So do we brave the walkway or risk the skiff?" Reg asks.

Male Human Fighter/1

Elric lifts the "halfling" up by the collar of his shirt

"If any harm comes from us following your instructions, trust that something far worse will happen to you.So if you're trying to trick me you better come clean now Gnome." He says calmy, his eyes as dark as Bane's heart.Intimidate 1d20+6=18

Euphegenia rolls her eyes at all the testosterone in the air and suppresses a wry smile, "Come Elric, we should go first with the "halfling", as we can take a beating, although I warn you that I swim like a stone!"

With that she heads down the rope to the skiff. can I take a 10 on the climb check for a total of 8 or do I need to be lowered?

GM

Euphegenia and Elric make their way to thedock below "Halfling " in tow, a skiff is at the docks end. Elric has to crouch in the confining space.A narrow space exists under the fishery, with about four feet of room between the floor of the building above and the languid, foamy river water below. Wooden pilings support the building, and moss and cobwebs hang thick from ropes and rusted chains between them. A wooden walkway floats on the river surface, winding along the inner wall of pilings that supports the building’s frame above, leading from the sodden barge to the east all the way west to a wooden door that leads into an understructure below the fishery’s landbound half.

Male Human Fighter/1

Elric pushed the haft of his axe not so gently into the gnome's back "Lead the way little man...and dont mistake me for a jester about what i told you a moment ago...

Yes Mostly Human Geek 12/ Mountain Biker 8

Keen is going to slide down to the docks behind the other two. "Is that door ahead normally locked?" he asks Iz quietly.

Euphegenia follows Elric, Axe and Shield at the ready, watching the water as they go.

GM

You walk in the cramped walkway, with only 4 feet of clerance its hard for most of the group to even stand. The sea around you and the building above, you notice the walk way your own lines up with the ratty looking one you saw as you came in, Reg advised not using it as it was ill kept and seeing the fins in the water around you it is clear to see as to way to stay out of the bay.Getting to the door the "hafling" says in a loud voice " There ya go thick as thieves" And makes a run for the rope hanging close to him, shimmying to the walkway above by swinging out the side of the walkway.

Elric you may make an AoO as he runs, Reg is at 9 out of 19 hp still badly hurt

Your map

edit note on map: Euphegenia and Elric are in the wrong spots, elric is first.

Male Human Fighter/1

Suspecting the worst of the gnome, and in no mood for witty banter, Elric lets loose a mighty swing.

attack 1d20+5=20

damage 1d12+4=14

GM

With a scream and a spray of blood the "halfling" splashes into the water. He feebly makes an attempt to swim before his final scream fills the air as something drags him down below

Male Human Fighter/1

"Tis the fate of all liar's and rogues...To be felled by their own actions and pulled under by forces they cant control but inevitably set in motion." Elric observed. The most he had spoken while with the group. He shook his head and set his mind back to business, going forth and swinging the door down forcefully, hoping to surprisekey word, that. any unsuspecting lackeys on the other side.

Male Aasimar Cloistered Cleric 2

Bean follows the others down after making sure V and the children where fine. He winces as he sees the rogue go under the water. Bean wasn't sure if the short one was just trying to get away, or alert someone while setting off a nasty surprise, but it didn't matter now, and he had been warned not to try anything.

Turning his attention back at hand Bean casts guidance on himself hoping that Sune would help guide him in his efforts here.

M Human Sorcerer 1

Rolling his eyes at the gullibility of the party and transparency of the gnome Keen readies his want and tries to spot any openings where he can zip a magic missile in on defenders. Not having any way of opening the doors he's just hoping Euph and Elrik are enough cover from any shots fired from the front.

Euphegenia says a quite prayer for the fallen "Halfling" "May your soul find the peace that your brief life lacked."

She looks less than happy that Elric killed the halfling after he had fulfilled his part of the bargain, but does not tackle him on the fact.

"No matter what he did, I'd rather he died at Elric's hands than fall in there..." Reg sighs looking sadly at the place the halfling was dragged under.

GM

Sorry guys sometime Saturday my Hard drive crashed. I have just now got up and running. Give me a few hours or by latest tomorrow to get back going.

GM

Actions?, are you going though the door, or taking other actions?

Male Chessentan human Paladin/Rogue 1st/1st
Keeper of Forbidden Lore wrote:

"Well since he bailed maybe someone ought to check that door for traps before Elric kicks it down of course," Reg suggests finally taking his gaze away from the surface of the water where the halfling was dragged under.

M Human Sorcerer 1

"Seeing as he likely alerted everyone inside I suggest we get through that door FAST before they start shooting or brace the door."

Euphegenia gives Elric a gentle shove and whispers "Are we going in?"

Euphegenia wrote:

Reg moves to the back keeping an eye on those now still waters as he wasn't sure those things couldn't jump out at them anyway.

Male Human Fighter/1

Elric nods and tightens his grip upon his axe, incase it needs to bring down another obstacle.

perception check 1d20=19

Is it possible to reasy an action in this situation?I don't think so, but i figured i'd ask

Male Human Fighter/1

I totally meant to go in in the above post, so yea, elric moves in.

GM

The air in this large room is somewhat chilly and stinks of the river, no doubt thanks to a huge opening in the floor that drops away to the river shore five feet below. Several pilings emerge from the waters to support the roof above, with mossy ropes slung between them. In two places, rusty manacles hang from the ropes over the water. Two five-foot-wide walkways cross the hole’s edge to the other side of the chamber, where a collection of old cabinets, lockboxes, and piles of clutter are strewn about. Chipped porcelain plates, a cracked goblet, badly rusted silverware, an old wooden shield with a crossbow bolt embedded in it, the odd dinged helm, and other “treasures” litter the floor of this entire chamber. Three tables, their tops heaped with additional clutter, stand amid this mess, while just west of that a wooden door seems to provide access to a walled-off section. Something threshes in the water below and bellows. Across the way you see an old man with a spent crossbow in his hand, there he is the architect of pain for so many, Gaedren Lamm

"Well, well we have company. Ah I know you don't I lady." He spits out a harsh laughter " Find you ward have you? , heh giggles can be a tad harsh on the pretty ones"

Ok I moved yall in, left and right flanks with keen being up the door. In a rush like move

Elric=17
Euphegenina=17
Lamm=16

M Human Sorcerer 1

Keen moves towards Lamm, leaving the Croc to Elric. As soon as he's in a position to hit Lamm without burning Reg Keen cuts loose with burning hands.

Burning Hands (Ref DC 14) (1d4=4, 1d4=4, 1d4=1)

Male Aasimar Cloistered Cleric 2

Touch of Good on Euphegenina.

"You'll not goad me into foolish action Lamm, you should fear death, because the nine hells wait for you today." despite her threat against Lamm she turns her attention to the Crocodile. "Elric, make room, let us take this beast down together."

She then casts Bless to give the group +1 morale bonus on attacks and saves verses fear.

Male Chessentan human Paladin/Rogue 1st/1st

Reg moves so he can pass Euphengenia so he can head after Gaedren once Keen finishes casting his spell so Reg can follow up afterwards, taking care to avoid falling in to the water since the villain will have undoubtedly taken steps to avoid being trapped in his lair.
"Gaedren Lamm, its time for you to answer for your crimes... all of them!" Reg declares.

I assume the terrain is difficult so Reg will probably only be able to reach the square next to Euphengenia this round since he's being careful not to fall in

Male Human Fighter/1

" Lamm you better hope the others kill you before i get done with your pet." He declares, turning his attention to the crocodile, he makes room for Euph and takes a swing at the crocodile If he can hit it without jumping in.

att 1d20+5=24

dang, nearly a crit.

damage 1d12+4=9

GM

Reg moves toward Lamm, as hakeen throws fire from his hands Lamm screams as he is bathed in fire.Bean calls upon the blessing of his goddes as does Euphegenia. LaMM burnt and hurting fires his crossbow at Hakeen.7hp Elrc takes a chunk from the crocodile as it charges the side, only to has it bit down upon him and drag him into the water below13 hp.

Ok elric is now grappled 15 feet below you in the water, with the croc

Your map

GM

I goofed on the map, keen should be 10 feet infront of reg

Male Human Fighter/1

"I've had bad itches that hurt worse than that!"he shouts at the crocodile, dropping his greataxe he pulls from a beltloop his handaxe and cleaves at the scaly behemoth's head.

attack 1d20+5=25-1 for power attack=24

crit confirm 1d20+5=22-1 for power attack=21

damage 1d6+6=12, 1d6+6=9

Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)

Looks like this is another I forgot to drop my apologies on yesterday. I'm so sorry for my disappearance, real life got just awful. I'm happy to play V again if she's wanted around or I can fully bow out on this one.. either way, so sorry!

GM

I left her upstairs as an npc. right now she is watching the wee ones, but she could come down stairs and join the fray if ya want

Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)

Keeper:

Spoiler:
Upstairs

"..and that is how you can utilise burning rage and a need for revenge" V educates the young ones with a slight smirk of a smile, a small amount of disappointment nagging at her for not chasing her own lust for vengance. Slowly a smile curls her dark lips "And I think today we can all get a little vengeance against Gaedren today. Who wants to help me set up some contingencies?"

V will be rallying the kids, getting them prepared for if Lamm tries to escape.Making plans using their knowledge of the building etc, generally keeping her promise to mind them whilst also incorporating her love of knowledge and desire to make sure Gaedren is ended today

GM

Anyone else taking actions be I NPC them?

As in round 2?

Male Aasimar Cloistered Cleric 2

round 2 action

Bean summons the power of Sune again to heal his allies, leaving the croc and Lemm out of the positive energy.

Channel positive energy: 1d6=1

I'm beginning to think that Invisiblecastle hates me...

Male Chessentan human Paladin/Rogue 1st/1st

Reg rushes forward drawing both his shortsword and dagger and directly engages Gaedren.

Reg moves adjacent to Gaedren and attacks with both shortsword and dagger having trouble with online die rolling could you roll for me? the shortsword attack would be 1d20+2 with 1d6+2 damage if it hits and the dagger attack would be 1d20+1 doing 1d4+1 damage if that hits

M Human Sorcerer 1

Keen draws upon his powers again, this time using them to create a greasy slick on the floor beneath Laam.

(cast Grease covering the corner Laam is in and the wall behind him so it won't interfere with Reg or someone trying to flank.)

Then Keen is going to move in, if Laam falls due to the spell he is going to take advantage of him being prone and move to block the exit. Otherwise he just moves into position where he can attack next round.

He also calls out "Do you need an assist with that croc Elrik?"

Male Human Fighter/1
Keen wrote:

"Do you need an assist with that croc Elrik?"

" I wouldn't be opposed to it, Keen my boy!" Elric calls out over splashing waters.

GM

Reg moves forward and slices into Lamm with his short sword,Hakeen calls upon his arcane powers and grease begins to spread before lamm, who seems to slip a bit but catches himself.Bean calls upon the power of Sune and translucent rose petrels seems to spread from him healing all they touch. Elric struggles with the croc, taken a large chunk from it as he yells for help. Euphegenia responds by wrapping a chain around her arm and jumping into the water below yelling " Help is on the way deary !" The croc bite into the big man who stops moving as blood fills the water -9HP Lamm stabs at rec with his dagger only to fail to get though his armor.

Your map..onto the next round

I moved for Euphegenia

Sorry, I didn't realise you were waiting for me.

I would of tried to help Elric, so good call.

Euphegenia is torn between curing Elric and killing the croc, she decide offence is the best coarse in this case. She swings her axe at the creature while hanging from the chain, any other rolls needed?

1d20+2=17

1d8+2=7

Yes Mostly Human Geek 12/ Mountain Biker 8

Keen is going to delay until Euphegena's turn to see if she finishes the croc. If Euphegena finishes the croc he moves to attack Laam. Otherwise Keen moved down to attack the croc. Either way:

Claw Attack (1d20+3=8)

Ugh... no point in rolling damage :|

Male Chessentan human Paladin/Rogue 1st/1st

Reg continues to battle Gaedren hoping he can hold him until the others can save Elric.

Employing smite evil as a swift action on Gaedren but rolled a natural 20 for his shortsword attack but the confirmation was only a 3 which even with the adds is only a 6 so normal damage of 4+2+1 for 7pts and the dagger attack rolled a 13+1 for 14 to hit which if its does does 1+1 for 2pts of damage, Reg stays where he is and tries to keep Gaedren occupied

GM

Reg moves forward and slashes into the wicked Lamm, hakeen claws at his enemy only to have himself miss his foe,Euphegenia brings her blade down and forever silences the croc, while bean once more calls upon the love of sune to heal his allies, Elric still bobs lifeless in the water as lamm once more fails to get though Regs armor.

Sorry guys RL had me jumping there, Ialso went for bean

Your map on the the new round

Male Aasimar Cloistered Cleric 2

Sorry, I got confused and thought I did go... are we on round 4 then?
