I bring you all dread news. The trailer for Dragonball Evolution has been released; this is one of the sign that the "end" nears
Wow. I think that just blew my mind, and not in the good way.

That... Did not look very good. At all.

While reading the ELH and PFBeta I came up that it would take 700,000 to 900,000 to get to 21st level (on the fast progression). This of course if no doubt wrong but since there is no Epic PF rules whatcha gonna do?
Ah, I know...Consider yourselves 21st level. Please level your characters (Currently you all have 3,100,000. Next level at 3,900,000).

Lazaro,
(from the Epic Destiny link)
"Normally, you can gain an epic destiny by taking the Epic Destiny feat. Doing so takes up your 21st-, 24th-, 27th-, and 30th-level feat slots. (You gain bonus feats from your class normally.) Your DM might decide that, if everybody in the group is taking an epic destiny, the epic destiny doesn't use up any feats. Ask your DM how epic destinies work in his campaign."
So... How will you rule this?

The Epic Destinies will be taking up feats (21, 24, 27 and 30). Unless Fragos and the others show interest in doing this.

I hope some of you are enjoying this little meatgrinder of a game. Again if you have any opinions or any words of wisdom for me as a DM I'm all ears.
Nope I'm enjoying a bit of meatgrinder. Don't play that very often so its a nice change of pace. Having fun.
And level 21. Huzzah! Never played at such a high level in 3e. Ah now 2e and the days of 36th level.. Those were the days.

I think I got it done last night.
HP roll at the bottom of character profile... you will notice the awesome roll of a 1...
skills
attack bonus
maneuver added
epic destiny feat - for my 'location' I'll set it to right where we are. (Wherever that is...) I'll be choosing to ressurect in the place of my death for the most part... (in case it happens...)
Did I miss anything?

God I hate Naruto filler episodes! And I get feeling more Bleach Filler is looming on the horizon :(
And can't forget that this was Dattebayo's last Naruto sub. What a sad day...
Now the mangas are getting interesting!

![]() |

Here's what Dattebayo had to say about it...
First of all, we’d like to clarify a few things. TV Tokyo has announced that it will begin streaming English subtitled Naruto Shippuuden via Crunchyroll approximately one hour after it airs in Japan (that would be sometime early Thursday morning EST) on January 8, 2009. This service will not be free, but will most likely require a subscription or a small fee per episode. According to ANN, this service will be “worldwide”. After a week, the episodes will be available for free. (Read more here.)
Viz Media has also announced that it will begin streaming free English subtitled Naruto Shippuuden episodes a week after airing via their official site Naruto.com as well as the services Joost and Hulu. This will begin January 15, 2009. These episodes will be free. In order to get viewers “caught up” to the current episode, Viz will be releasing 8 Naruto Shippuuden episodes, starting with episode 1, every Friday starting on January 2, 2009 via the aforementioned services. (Read more here).
This answers 85% of the questions we’ve received over the last week, including “Will the episodes be subbed or dubbed?”, “Why aren’t you going to keep subbing so we don’t have to wait 91 weeks for the official subs to catch up?”, “Will the subs be available outside the US?”, and “Could you give us more information about what sites we will be able to view these official versions at?”

On the subject of Bleach...

![]() |

The new episode of Bleach is out! It was a decent episode.
I hate and love the new ending. The song just annoys me, but the teasing of Vizards/Turning Back the Pendulum arc makes me smile!
The Arrancar Encylopedia was the best part of the show!
*Gin referencing Nnoitra's Resurreccion Sanata Teresa
Gin: It looks like ya can produce scythes from yer arms, but can ya also bring out stuff like hedge clippers, or a can opener?
*Holds up a can tuna
Gin: That'd be convenient!
Nnoitra: You wanna die?!
Ah, Gin what would we do without your comic reflief

Gah! Has anyone ever watched something and been instantly inspired to use it in a game?
Well I have. After watching a new anime I stubbled across I think I want to start another game now. But how to do the mechanics would be tricky.
After thinking about it, it sits somewhere between PFRPG/4e mechanics. Certain skill from 4e would work better than PF. Curse me for saying this but 4e hp would better. But iterative attacks, and a few other things fit as well...hmm

Yesh, I hate filler. Especially Naruto filler. Especially Naruto filler that mixes filler with non-filler material...sob...sob...
Other than that looks like the Wanderers will be moving on to Greyhawk. This is getting interesting.
Question though, have you found the encounters to be too easy?

Davi The Eccentric |

I'd say they were somewhat easy so far, but that seems to be mainly because they were in melee range, and we are a melee-centric party. Even the sorceor isn't half bad at melee! That reminds me, Raizen also does an obscene amount of damage. So, we just can kill just about any group if we're in a narrow tunnel and they don't kill us first.

![]() |

The outcomes haven't really been in doubt so far - however, we've cast a lot of spells, taken a bunch of vile damage and expended quite a bit of resources. I'd say that the encounters have been challenging, but manageable. Also, you get bonus points for supremely creepy enemies. Also, Giorge is a hoot.

![]() |

So this is still in the works, but I thought I'd let you all and a few others I game with take a lllok at what I'm working on:
Before Character generation all players need to roll 1d4.
Character generation: 25 point buy, as in Pathfinder Beta
Books allowed: Pathfinder Beta
Variants: We will be using the Defense Bonus, and Armor Damage Reduction Values (with a change to DR values) from Unearthed Arcana. Armor now gives it’s full AC total to DR, but no bonus to armor (studded leather DR 3/-, armor bonus 0).
We will also be using Action Points. Every character begins with 5 action points. Action points can be used to take an additional standard, move or swift action. You may also use them to a d20 roll (including attack rolls, saves, checks, or any other d20 roll)
Restrictions: No spellcasting classes are allowed; Humans are the only playable race.
Staring gold: 150 gp
Starting hp: Max hit points, plus Constitution Score
Rolls done on invisblecastle
Ten years ago, an inscrutable and abnormal territory known as Hell's Gate appeared in Absalom and altered the sky and wreaked havoc on the landscape. The heavenly bodies disappeared, replaced by false stars. During this time, people who possess various special abilities emerged. Kept secret from the knowledge of the masses, these individuals, known as Contractors, are able to murder in cold blood. Various nations around the world use Contractors as spies and agents, often resulting in violent battles for information.
This game take place in alternate reality of Golarion. A place where Human are the only race and magic is unheard of. The character for one reason or another are working for The Syndicate, a mysterious underground organization. It’s operatives work with both Contractors and Dolls to achieve their objectives, and even have access to Gate 'technology' in order to erase sightings of their affairs from witness' minds.
Again I'm still looking to see if I need to add or remove anything from it.

Which is odd cause I really did plan on either Giorge dying in battle, or offing himself in an act of guilt over the evil he's caused. But as I fleshed him out he went from weepy, emo. To what he is now.
As for the jaebrin I mostly stole their tone from the Locust of Gears to War.

Darker Than Black, I presume? Other than the fact that anyone who's seen the show (or spent as much time as I have) will know what you're basing this on, I can't think of any faults with it.
Also, it's a pain to find something on TvTropes if you don't remember the name of the show.

Blast, I've been found out! But ya, I hope to focus on a lot of cloak and dagger missions. And a healthy share of social interactions.
I still plan on running Scales of War after this 'Essence' is over. I just found that 3.5/PFBeta fit alot better with this game. Especially with the use of iterative attacks, and spells.
