Mmm... that's going to be thought since I'd rather do no background on standing poses... lemme see what I can do. I was going to do patrick's Hanali next but since I'm still missing info on that character I'll slip Kristine one place in line and do her next. I hope she'll be ready this weekend.

Aww Hugo, what do you need? Let me know and I'll get it for you.

Link to Hanali's character

Anything else you want let me know. I've been busy lately, haven't been able to keep up.

EDIT: OK got your question back in the thread. Sneding you an email.

James, I must say that picture is awesome! It brings a nice level of grit to a genre that's loosing it's tarnish. Keep it up!

Hugo, great work as usual!

Hmmmm... Seems like the artist for my character has dropped off the face of the planet? Would anyone like to take over? ;)

Cheers! :D

Thanks, guys! I'll do my inkwash thing over the holiday for a finish, most likely and then get to the next one when I have some more time.

I got one for you on the beefcake front.

Ht: 6'4 Wt: 200lbs

Stats:
STR 16(+3) DEX 14(+2) CON 15(+2) INT 13(+1) WIS 10(0) CHA 18(+4)

Astinos is nothing short of stunning.

Seeming as if carved from marble, and carrying himself with the bearing of a warrior-born, it is of whispered that this man is blessed by the gods. His long raven black hair and chiseled features are more than enough to turn heads, but it is his steel grey eyes with their crystalline intensity that give pause to all who meet them.

When dressed in the full regalia of his armor, the polished relief of Athena gleaming on his shield, his presence is almost overwhelming.

Armor&Shield
Armor: +2 Dwarven Masterwork Mithril Half Plate (With golden spearhead in center of breastplate)

Shield: +2 Divine Heavy Steel Shield (Embossed with Deities&Demigods image of Athena)

sub out the short sword for a mace and he sounds like a ringer for my avatar. I'll take this one.

I wrote about it on my stupid blog but I'm thinking the left foot needs to be longer since it seems too small and I don't like where the blade and toe meet. I tried to go for a middle-aged Iggy Pop/Keith Richards kind of face (maybe a little younger and less gnarly) to reflect his substance abuse problem.

You are bloody amazing. I wouldn't change a thing.

And he does look quite a bit like Iggy Pop...

If anyone has the time...

Spoiler:
Here's one, plan to use for Seeker's CoTCT pbp soon. Pretty excited about this guy, might even use him IRL. Anyway, he's a 1st level fighter from the Moonshae Isles, with Ffolk/Illuskan mixed blood. He has the Jotunbrud feat, which lets him count as large when it's beneficial. He's a big guy, 7'6", 322lbs. 18 strength and 16 con so he's pretty much built like a brick house....i think i'm gloating a bit. He uses a masterwork Greatax, and keeps 2 battleaxes and one handaxe, mostly for utility reasons so the handaxe might be a bit worn. Chain shirt.Blonde hair, long, perhaps with some braids. Some good points of reference would be the Odo character from Kingdom of Heaven, Ajax from Troy, or Thor. He is a very calm, quiet and somewhat grim character.A man of few words who maintains a eerie calm even in the midst of battle.

Thanks =D

ha. Ahahaha...BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Awesome. very awesome. I kinda thought you may have forgotten about this, and I am very glad that you didn't. It turned out exactly as I pictured. And since you asked for a story about it, you get it, though I doubt it's as good as you may thought, but it's straight from the players..msn text box...ya.

See, it's no secret that my games usually degenerate into the amusing, the joking and the insane. well, one player, the elf that was drawn here by Lynora (I believe) incidently, decided he wanted a top-hat. an intelligent dancing top-hat. but due to the fact that he was level 1 he wasn't able to have magic items that advanced, so I said no. he then thought about it more and began playing his character more and more...odd. The character had a top hat. He'd claim he kept hearing the top hat speak to him, advise him, tell him who to mug, and such things. Further, he claimed its name was Gary, and that it danced when the mood took it (Incidentally, since the player had prestigitation, it might have been a little of that). Since the character was only first level, he could only claim the hat was magical, and everyone else decided whether it was, or whether this guy was just schizophrenic. ever since, it's become a running joke that his characters would have "advisors" including the boistrous and gallant french epee (rapier), the bloodthirsty scottish boots, the english top hat that tries to advise as best he can and finally for the most recent guy, a rogue, a family of daggers with names like Stabby, Choppy, Slicey, Dicey, etc. i think the shirt had something too, but i've forgotten it.

well, you asked. I hope that was enough to give a good picture of it. And also, I'm done the second character of my commisions, and I should be able to post it tomorrow.

I love the picture of Gary the dancing top hat, Hugo. It looks great. And now that I know more of the story behind it, I'm really glad I decided to go less stovepipe and more mad hatter when I drew the character wearing it. So much more appropriate. : )

Also, I'm nearly done with your first iconic, Madgael. If I can just stop fussing with the lines and color the dang thing already. (It always looks a little off before I start adding shading.) So I'll be putting that up sometime in the next couple of days.

Wow. Thanks Kayos. I have to admit I really like the Chibi version as well.

I'm not sure how well the full-sized sketch of Modus captures him the way I see him in my head (is that vague enough). The detail is awesome though. All those spiky-links for the spike-chain -- yikes! I can see why a spiked-chain is an exotic weapon...that looks like it would be a pain to wield.

Thanks ever so much for all your hard work on this. I really appreciate it.

You're more than welcome, I freely admit I'm not the best artist hence giving chibis as well to make people smile at least! I did find looking at images of Tuareg during the drawing process really interesting, thanks for that, I plan to use some of the pics I found to do some facial study sketches at some point

Scarab Sages

Ok, so the scanner is giving me more problems so the dwarf will be delayed a couple of hours. I was, however, able to start uploading my Life Drawing book, so people can take a gander at that. It's mostly just me sitting down with a coffee and drawing whoever I see. I know it's not pathfinder, or even fantasy related, but hey. I'm allowed a monthly quota of shameless plugs. Which I usually use for the Agony Booth.

But ya. I'm pretty psyched about it. I actually like these quick 3 minute sketches much more then the bigger more complicated pics.

And before anyone says anything, I know they're really big. I'm trying to look inconspicuous at the company scanner so I don't have a lot of time to fiddle with settings.

nice work kayos

Here goes a Korvosan guard with a faithful -and scary- animal companion.

I hope you like it, it is my first doggie!

Next: Kristine's sketch is finished, I hope the "ink" and shading will be finished tomorrow. Her thin and tall frame makes her look very human-like, I'm loving it! Hanali will be right next of Kristine.

Ok, Matias the Dwarf is up!

He's supposed to be a Favored Soul, but there isn't really any way to convey that. Unfortunately, there is some leftover from the blue pencil showing, but I chose the scan that minimized it. I'll just have to learn to use less.

It was supposed to be a giant scene in 4 parts, and the dwarf is angry at the Binder from last time. But they don't really line up that well, so I'm making them all individual now. Unless sometime in the future I decide to put them all together. but that would require me to be much less lazy.

Anyhow, enjoy! And I hope you like it Gorbacz, though I havn't seen you around here much lately...

Thanks for the kind words guys/gals, I liked the doggie the most. I'm starting to use less time on the sketching but I'm taking longer to do the shading... But I think its starting to look bette ;P

You want suggestions for theme? take the one I suggested last time. "Average people". not your ripped and sensual adventurers, but your one-legged shopkeep, your slovenly drunkerd, your burn-afflicted begger. your rotund and matronly baker or inn-keep. etc.

That's exactly what I was thinking! That would give me an opportunity to experiment with new dimensions and more roughed lines!!! So, I'll take more suggestion in the couple weeks if anyone has any. If not, I'll go for Kessu's idea.

And if you really want a whacked out idea, a slovenly, abusive, battle-damaged, drunkard, burned-out ex-adventurer barkeep Warforged. I'll prolly take a shot at him myself at some point. just throwing it out there. you ever see a warforged with a beer-gut?? I haven't. Yet...
