Thanks guys!

I started uploading colored commissions for the magazine if you want to check ;). I'm not linking those here since its not related :P

To A 2E Floppy-Eared Golem, I have seen your drawing of Zaggorm Greysnake. While it is very unusual and I appreciate the effort I cannot see myself using it to portray Zaggorm in game. Thank you for your effort.

I had no idea there was even a drawing thread here on the forums! This thread is great!

Anyway, I saw that some people are interested in drawing the magic items from this year's RPG Superstar - would someone be interested in drawing up my Ancestral Reliquary?

Oooh, me, me! I got this one!

In fact, I already have it done. Here is the finished drawing of the ancestral reliquary. It was fun to draw. I even got to do byzantine chain. :)

That was amazingly fast! Ubercool Lynora, I love the necklace detail in particular!

Thanks. I've been learning how to make jewelry, so I sort of jumped at the chance to draw a necklace.

i agree its pretty nice Lynora :)

it would have been interesting to have a finger bone in it, but its ok as it is :)

Well, since it looks like he's going to be devoured by zombies, let's see if anyone is willing to draw my first character, Tallis Kotellos. I only have five guidelines: A human monk (kung-fu, not Benedictine), with black hair, sideburns, and a Nice Hat. Other than that, feel free to go as wild or generic as you like.

I have to draw one or two monks for next week, so I'll take this one. If somebody else wants to give it a shot you know its open.

ALSO! of spmebody wants another monk I could give it a shot next week as well.

Davi:

Spoiler:
this may appear on a printed book later this year, so if you don't mind me "publishing" your character I'll go for it.

Sorry for being unable to take commissions for so long, it's just been really crazy on this end. I should be back on track in a couple of weeks.

Super-cool! Thanks a lot, lynora! That's almost exactly what I had in mind when I was writing it up - it's the creepiest 'bling' in the world.

Paul, I'm so happy you like it. It was such a blast to draw.

Hugo, wow, that is a really awesome picture of the leaves of the autumn dryad.

I'm afraid it doesn't give you a whole lot to work with, but anyone who'd like to draw a dessicated insect corpse , I would love to have it done!

Thanks in advance!

-Speck

PS -- Hugo, great work on the Boomer/Emmy piece!

You're welcome. I don't think I'll be doing the other half-orc, incidentally, if anyone else wants to pick silverhair's half-orcs up.

Again, these are not commissions from this thread but I wanted to hear you opinion on it. These are my first two "decent" scenery and I could use some feedback. Thanks!

Abandoned town
Empty Garden

Fire away mercilessly please, I need all the criticism possible.

Sovereign Court

Looks good, nice details. I have a criticism for each one though. The deserted town has some perspective issues, especially that yellowish wall in the back, it doesn't seem to match with the houses. And the Hydra statue looming over the garden looks to be part of the wall so it would seems logical to make it the same stone coloring otherwise it looks more like a monster perched up there to me.

Empty Garden

as i am no artist my crytics might be like

1) the town overrun by Monsters... unless it was just overrun it should show more damage, windows broken, litter in the street, the road is to well cared, in general it looks like the monsters were invited to stay yesterday... but i suppose this is not how things worked since i see no people...it wasneither an attack since i see no damage nor monsters eating people

i like the town... but the monsters look out of place... or rather... the town look out of place with that many monsters... imagine an small town in Italy after it received the invasion of a tribeof Vandals... there would be blood in the street, fires, damage... if it was deserted and the monsters moved in... it need things that showed it...

besides it, is a lovely town

Edit: ok watched it again, i noticed a few damaged things... the cart is a good example of somethign abandoned and broken as is the broken door in the left, the walls... well its justan old section of the town, i am sure that there are streets in the center ofGuadalajara or close towns that looks just likethis, just with people

i do believe there is something missing, windows broken, old carcass, etc... i just need to hit the nail in there

2) Empty Garden... same consideration... it looks like a cementery... well tended cementery... with the stones over peoples graves with someone caring for the place and cutting the grass... i see no plants overruning the graves, no animals out of place... its a nice photo of a cementery just left for the day after being cared... yes creepy... but there are many similar places from the Goth Artistc Face from the world or the time Notredam was filled with gargoyles.

it needs that extra that screams... its abandoned... its empty i will be scared of being there as the night cames.

Edit: ok... more than a garden it looks indeed as a cementery overlooking the town, no walls and no fences around it... which is interesting even if it was a garden

Yeah, I didn't put lots of effort on the perspective... Although the gouses are not lined up with the wall even on that point of view they do overlap... That a very bad point that I hope I dont repeat in the future.

Regarding the hydra, that's a whole adventure issue there. Suffice is to say that it is indeed a statued perched on top of the wall.

Thanks for the feedback CJack

Montalve wrote:

Spoiler:

The title may have been wrong, since the town was taken over by monsters but it wasn't entirely overrun, more like evacuated to avoid casualties, which is the reason why the buildings doesn't show much damage. When the andventure comes up and you check it it may make more sense-

The Garden was a difficult scene, since I was given very few details and had to "create" the rest of the details. The Garden is supposed to be a part of a musuem, but it also has an entrance to a crypt. so... I figured: ancient garden. Also I have no maps for reference on what is where and what hkind of detais the garden has.... so I have to invent those details. And finally, the las detail is a dead giveaway and I'll wait until the adventure is out not to spoil too many surprises :P

jeje quite understandable

Here are my first colored, full pose characters. Also its my first "group picture". I show you this in case somebody wants a colored private commission, this is how it would look like -sort of-

Villains

I'm stating this coloring stuff and its turning out a bit crappy right now.... I appreciate your understanding and I hope I will soon improve dfrom crappy to mediocre and on a few months to "ok" :D

Another splendid piece Hugo. I have to remember to buy that issue!

Dark Archive

I know that originally this was a Pathfinder request thread, but I wonder if someone would be willing to draw my pbp character for the 4th Edition game I'm playing in?

David Fryer wrote:

Heh, the "Pathfinder" is totally not official we draw whatever lands in our agenda, I even have a StarWars character on line ;)

So, as long as somebody has time available, I'm sure it will be taken

Dark Archive

Okay then, I would love it if someone took a stab at this.

Perigia

Spoiler:
Perigia is a female Firesoul Genasi about 19 or 20 years of age (human equivalent). Her skin is yellow with lines of red which run across her body, in seemingly random directions (think tribal tatoos). She is bald but like all Firesoul she has a nimbus of energy that looks like hair to the casual observer. In her case the energy is red with streaks of yellow and white. She dresses lightly, in a style that is akin to a tanktop and shorts. She wears thigh high boots and has a light jacket that she wears which is embroidered with arcane symbols. On her hip she wears a longsword, and she carries a wizards staff with the top artfully carved to appear like it is in flames. She also wears an amulet that has the holy symbol of Tempus on it

Silver Crusade

Could anyone give this a try.

Looking for Male halfing in 30's, with wild long greasy unkept hair. Muscular build but lean. Wears a old school hockey style maskwith what looks like homemade nails coming out of it. The Spiked leather armor is a mix and match of different types of dirty and blood stained armor. The pair of wooden medium shields. The edges of the shields are sharpened to a razor edge. The face of the shields is a collection of homemade nails, spear heads, and sword tips. The collar around his neck is encrusted with cheap gem stones. It was a gift from a former master. He carries 3 short spears on his back, the horse hair keeps the blood running down the shaft. For the things he can't reach with his shields. He still goes barefoot better traction on the floor of the pits.

Thank you.
