Mist Wraith

A figure looms out of the mist. It is humanoid in appearance, tall and thin, with pale, almost translucent skin, long, pointed ears, and flowing white hair. Its eyes glow with an eerie blue light, and wisps and curls of mist spill from its open mouth. The creature wears a long, high collared coat, the tails of which seem to trail off into jags of mist. Its fingers end in thin, sharp and improbably long talons. Perhaps strangest of all, the creature seems to glide across the ground rather than walk, levitating just above the earth.

So did this one inspire anybody?

Spoiler:
The Bilepit.

The colony uses stone stairwells, pits, wells, and recessed rooms to provide the shape for bile pits. Orifices often open up on top of a bilepit dropping living creatures into it. Living creatures take damage from the bile (on top of falling damage, of course). Long, grey-greenish vine-like arteries connect the bilepit to other non-mobile parts of the colony. Mobile parts of the colony, including the free floating aberrant eyes, lap at the pits daily for sustenance.

This is hot. Also sticky and gross!

I had a Tzimisce character in a LARP (shut up) who had used animalism to summon and beach a whale, which he then dismantled with his fleshcrafting powers and spread throughout his manor house. It's stomach was an open pit under his torture / experimentation room. It's mad twitching eyes served were embedded in the leathery hide covering the door to his inner sanctum, and the entire creature was blood bound / animalism controlled to recognize him and open the door as he arrived (using muscles that he'd moved to that area for that reason, originally the flippers, now really strong door-openers and closers). It's (enslaved and totally insane) brain lived in the basement, and it's nervous system ran through the various areas along with thick cables of blood vessels to bring nutrients to the still living parts he was using.

This sounds totally similar to me, with the various functions of a single organic creature (digestion, reproduction, etc.) separated out and made into a series of seperate encounters.

Hehehe. Yep.

Thrand the half-orc: "So, where's the monster?"

Daehan the conjurer: "I think ... I think we're inside the monster."

What do you mean?

Also, there should be either an artists day off or a BIG artist thing where they draw whatever they want, come the Holidays.

You have to understand, the ghostly wisps and such are hard to accomplish with pencil, I have a decent "body" of the wraith but the rest is just bogging down as I don't have the time to properly work it out. I guess I can always post what I got...

What about a Shadow?

Trying to get the detail while keeping the shaowy blackness of the creature would be a tough challenge!

Liberty's Edge

Sheddim and liquid metal sword are up on the other thread, in case anyone was wondering why they aren't on this one. Sorry. It was late, and I needed sleep.

That is a nice challenge!

What about a Xmas monster? Any ideas?

I was thinking of a fey who comes after your shiny new stuff in your sleep and gives it away to complete stranger! Now that would be scary!!! Or good if you get something out of one of this fey :D

Krampus makes the Grinch look downright wimpy.

BTW, I think the thin air up there in the Alps has made folks loopy. Nothing says Merry Christmas like birching young females!

Old classic, but I'd be interested to see your take on The Grinch.

Alternatively, you could do a skewed version of Santa Claus (maybe as a Golarion Bugbear) with Golarion Goblins as his helpers in little Santa Hats or Elf Suits.

A Red Golarion Kobold in a Santa Hat would be cool too!

Shadow Lodge

Nothing says Merry Christmas like a Pit Fiend dress like Santa in a sleigh pulled by Nightmares with Imps for elves!
Any takers?

thanks Kayos

i had imagined them a bit less human, but i liked how you did them, teh only minor detail with the portrait would bethat they had a bit longer faces,it looks good in full sketch, my other comments in the deviant.

and irepeat, yes i like them very much, thanks :D

The Exchange

Montalve; I plan to do more sketches, don't worry these were just idea sketches and I hope to get something better down for you

Kayos. wrote:

well if you do them a bit less human, and bigger wings membranes for planning, this could actually be the air-touched, half humans, half desendandts of the sylph

i liked the combination of both images that i need to get her a name, no attributes because i still more on the rules part... but i think she would be something akin and air-sorceress or a dreamweaver (illusionist, damn i hate when companies take great names for themselves :P);meh anyway in my setting both would be akin to the same... metaphysically all illusions fall under the element air... just add the power of wind and thunder and we are done :D

that or i will finishing doing my mind and making sylphs human-like as they were 1str supposed to be :P

Same, and paying commissions come first.

That's it. I really regret this, but given how many people here aere 'pervs', it seems like the only option. There's a certain demon, which I will not name for fear of losing the small amount of presents I've got left, but it is often considered to be the demon of a certain Deadly Sin which is most popular among pervs. Somebody draw it. It strikes me as teh only thing that can keep this thread alive, other than bumping.
Can't believe I posted that. I'm getting lots of coal.

mmm succubus in chrismas clothing? sounds interesting, still people is bussy, so maybe next year

SUCUBBUS! >:) there ;)

I'm not getting anything for Xmas anyway....

Apparently we all are superbusy of late... Jack doesn't even post lately... I have a finished monster ready to be posted next week. But I think that will beall from me this year on this thread...

Montalve wrote:

That's alright. In fact, it is very good. Santa might have some mercy on me then. I only really made that post so that people would post on it. I don't like bumping.

I should have Aboleth, Bugbear, Centaur, and Dragon ready to post by Monday. If I don't I have even bigger issues on hitting my deadline than I already thought. :(
So that's something.
