"Hecate you can't just curse someone with a deadly disease like that because they accidentally bumped into you! People died because of that and they weren't even involved" Elijah states incredulous at her lack of care.

"I can't? Oh my, I didn't know!"

She speaks in a mocking tone.

"Freedom to do what I want is something I prize. I enjoy abilitiy with ancient scrolls. So what if someone got hurt? Just being in that forest was enough to make them involved, and the town itself is soon going to consume itself when the plan is down. The boy was just an experiment, and the magic that brought his anrako to this world will be ready to cover the town in no less than a week. Now, why not just go to a diffrent town and enjoy the calm before the storm? It would be much easier for you... and far less lethal."

Sehkola finally speaks up. "Yes, it would be far less lethal ... but for yourself, I think. Perhaps my mind is fuzzy, but was it not yourself, and your sister ... I mean brother, who ran from us when last we met? To be honest, you should count yourself lucky; my desire was to just kill you outright, but the paladin wished to talk first. I am about to the point where I do not wish to talk any longer."

Shadow Lodge

"You think we ran? Heh. So you're going to unleash your mighty sparks in the hopes of stopping me? You don't get it do you?"

She turns her head slightly, and Sehkola feels a tiny shiver crawl up his spine.

"Well, that fear is common enough, most everyone fears demons. I can se it now, the mighty sorcerer running from dretch. Or being stuck in a box with no way out. That is what you would face if you stay here. Even the paladin standing before would cower as his own nightmares were brought to life. Your very own anrako.

He laughs a bit.

"It's okay, I was only kidding. I'm sure you already have your own lover to look to. So if you are waiting for your friends, where are they?"

Spoiler:
"Heh...uh yeah...not really..." Kora laughed with genuine discomfort. She didn't think half-orc girls like herself had much of an easy time with romance.

"Yeah, I was waitin' for two guys. They should be comin' sooner or later from the tavern down the steet. We got work we're s'posed to do tonight. 'dventurin' stuff." Kora didn't realize just how chatty she was getting with the man, unused to this sort of attention as she was and unsure of how to deal with it.

She was still blushing.

Kora:
I feel I should point out half-orcs no longer have a penalty to their Charisma stat, and that Kora has a positive Charisma modifier.

"Two guys? And you adventure together? Sounds exciting really, maybe I can join you a few times?"

As the witch recites his own fears, Sehkola unconsciously takes a step back. The hairs on his arm stand on end, and M'tala, who had been coiled around his shoulders, hissed.

He recovers after only a moment. "Sparks, you say? No. Not for you. That would be far too quick. I think for you, I will run you through the gut with my spear. Your very own kabob, as the Qadirans say.

Sehkola goes on, in a menacing growl. "Why do you come here? Why do you hurt these people? They have done you no wrong. You leave, and do not come back. Or your fate will be as I promised."

Db3, I updated Sehkola to the core rules. I assumed we should do that, but if not, the changes were relatively minor and I can switch back easy enough. Other than adding CMD, concentration, bloodline arcana, and uses/day of his electricity ray, I lost my kukri proficiency and so switched his kukri to a dagger.

male human paladin 2

got to restat, lost a feat, so I'll have to change that, not a huge deal, I'll just trade it for power attack instead... Sehkola you want to take over the dialog I'm kind of petered out at the moment.

As an FYI, the PRD is out there ...

Spoiler:
"Heh, yeah! Maybe!" Kora laughed nervously. "Dangerous work though. We nearly got mauled a little while back even!"

Cayden's sake! Act natural!! What the hell is this guy doing hanging around her anyway?!

I was thinking more of racism against half-orcs. Kora probably cashed in on the stereotype to keep people from giving her trouble and for street cred during her more rambunctious days. ;)

Shadow Lodge

Kora:
I forgot about the racism against them, oh well. He wouldn't know about Kora's exploits anyway.

"Mauled? By what? I've heard of little around these parts that would attack one person, let alone of three. Interesting. Perhaps we could talk of my joining your group over a mug of this cities fair drink?"
He gestures back toward the tavern he just exited it not long ago.

Are you going to fight here, in the middle of the city you so dearly wish to protect? Even as we speak, two anrako are almost in this world, and a failed attempt is already here. As I see it, you have two choices, fight me or save a few worthless people."

Sehkola actually seems to smile a bit, though there is no mirth in it. "Of course! You work for someone else! I was saying to myself, 'These two are not intelligent enough to do anything on their own, let alone make these nightmare creatures. I wonder how they did it?' Everything makes sense now. And please tell me: exactly why do you think we cannot fight you AND save the people?"

Note that Sehkola's wisdom is low, so he's not getting that she's implying the anrako is here right now.

Shadow Lodge

"Why? Let me put it this way. If you fight us and win, you'll be hurt or dead, in no condition to be fighting three anrako. Each one is in a different part of the city, and one is fairly close. To bad its almost as useless as the people in this town."

She draws the thin blade and her other hand glows with a dark light.

"I'll ask again, are you going to fight us or are you going to try finding the anrako?"

Female Half-orc Rogue 1

Spoiler:
"Haha! Maybe!" Kora was very nervous now, not just because of the attention but because surely letting him get close to the others and having him learn of their "relationship" with his apparent date could only lead to an even messier situation.

Can I see Elijah, Sehkola, and Hecate from here? If not:

"Yeah, they were hanging out around there." She pointed in the direction of the tavern. "They were supposed to be meet me here though, the lazy bums. But yeah, we could talk about it some time! Sure!" DAMN IT WHY DID I SAY THAT?

Kora:
You can see them and hear a bit of what they are saying. There are also a few people still traveling about this part of the city tonight.

"Hm, its not polite to keep someone waiting. What do they look like? I could help you look for them."

Male Human (Mwangi - Bekyar) Sorcerer 2 (Air Elemental Bloodline)

Indecision in his eyes, Sehkola looks to Elijah for some wisdom ...

Female Half-orc Rogue 1

Spoiler:
"Oh they're uh..." Damn it! She was letting herself get cornered.

"One of em's pretty plain lookin'. Pretty sure he's Chelish through and through. Never asked, myself. Other guy's kinda exotic lookin' round these parts. Real dark skin, not a hair on his head. I think he's from one o' them southern countries. Like Osaron or Kapatesh."

Kora failed Geography. :)

"What you have done is wrong Hecate. We will see justice done for that. However justice must also be tempered by mercy, if you have anything to offer that will help mitigate the harm you have done to Sandpoint you should share it now." Elijah state after mulling over the situation.

"Isn't it enough that I warned you of the anrako? I wasn't supposed to, but I do so like seeing you hero types squirm."

She pauses for a moment.

"Are't you hero types supposed to save the day no matter what the odds? Because right now it just seems like your stalling for time and information. If we're not going to fight, I'll be leaving. Good luck finding the anrako. You'll need it."

She begins to walk off, her blade still out and her hand still glowing with it's dark energy. You three seem to be the only ones to notice though. She doesn't even glance at Kora as she passes her.

Kora:
If you would like to try and stop her, you may. You could also suddenly 'find' Elijah and Sehkola.

male human paladin 2

"Well we hero types do always win... so there isn't a big point in rushing off is there? We already know the outcome, it's simply seeing how it manifests... the question is why you still choose the losing side?" Elijah quips back before starting to follow her... not offensively but in an almost bored amused manner.

"Hero types don't always win, and who ever said my side was the losing one? Look around you, only yourselves and the pitiful law enforcers stand between the doom that draws near for these people. Do you think all the people in this city, that run in terror from goblins, will be of any help to you? Right now their own fears are starting to manifest. Slowly and in small amounts, but they are manifesting. Someone afraid of spiders will find one crawling across the table, someone afraid of dogs will find one outside their door looking for food. Soon these little occuances will give birth to true anrako, and we will win. It is simple a matter of time."

male human paladin 2

"Sure you will. Clap a bit louder and maybe the magical fairy will get back up." Elijah answers back still following her, "Better than you have tried to end this city and failed. Besides it doesn't really matter, the bigger the fear the better the hope that appears... those sort of emotions call to each other."

Shadow Lodge

Nice reference there Abe.

"With fear also comes hopelessness. Panic will flow, son shall fight farther, brother shall fight brother. And the fear will only grow stronger. The only thing to fear, is what fear itself brings."

Kora, Sehkola, are you going to jump in the conversation?

No; Sehkola is in a dull rage, and if he continues speaking with the arrogant witch, it's likely he'll attack. He believes it more important to find out where these other anrako are, so he's hoping Elijah can get that out of her.

Shadow Lodge

"So why are you following me, oh great and noble paladin? Think I'll lead you to Corinth? You won't like where I lead you, and you'll think I'm lying."

Shadow Lodge

Hello? Anybody there?
