ah I have traits for my character(always a problem importing from elsewhere) and they are sort of core to her character..but if the majority don't want them I'm ok with that
Please note..Melissa spends most of her time pretending to be a boy...there are strong reasons for this and if people try and find them out in game I have no problems..please read her background.
Thats second level characters right?
I'm going to be away from tonight till sunday night going to Dragonmeet where the highlight will be getting to meet Erik Mona

Cool! She'll look like a very short young man so! :D
Is it level 2? I actually don't mind traits either way, I could have them or go without, so don't count me as a vote against.

Everyone level 1 except Adjunta and Melissa :) .
This week end I'll try to check your background with everyone to see how to adapt it a litle for the beginning of the adventure.
"Ianthe Jack"
" While in Oppara , you have checked with the correspondant of the Alladrin's shield bearers there . After a few days with your family , you are a little surprised to hear from him there is an offer of employment for you. It seems the church of Iomedae would have need of someone like you and would like you to contact them ."
"Heren Andercrote"
While adventuring , you had an occasion to give a small help to a wizard called Estorion. While passing through his hometown , you visit him and he indicates to you he has just received an offer of employment from the church of Abadar which he will declines as it would takes a little too much time for him at the moment since he is looking for a new apprentice. He asks if you would be interested ? "
"Hasim Bin Omar"
Since your arrival in Taldor , you have had many occasions to deal with the curch of Abadar . They have determined your land deed as a fake , have helped you to have a license to trade when taldoran officials would not even hear you and have validated your honesty when people accused you to have cheated them . So , when it seems apparent you are at a loss of what to do, one priest refer you to one Devred Gimonth who could help you .
"Malgasir"
Since you advertise yourself as a guide, the church of Iomedae would like to hire you to guide some people to the verduran forest ..."
"Melissa"
So far I'm still thinking of how to introduce you. I have a tentative scheme but I need to think on it .
"Adjunta"
Devred Gimonth , a middle placed bureaucrat in the church of Abadar has asked for a meeting with you. when you report to him , he explains to you that he has need for one person for a mission liaising with the church of Iomedae . He first thought of asking the wizard Estorion but this one declined and signaled to him he recently met a young ptiest of Abadar who to his opinion would have the necessary tact for such a mission , to wit you .
The mission would consist of going to the outskirts of the Verduran Forest far to the north to officially explore an old and abandonned church of Aroden and recover there all deeds, memento , documents and objects of faith which could still be there in order to transfer their propriety to representants of the inheritor.
He further explains he will soon meet with two people he plans to hire for you so that you will not be the sole representative of Abadar in the group.
For those who don't see any problem with tour background , let's game on . To the play by play forum !!!

"Where can I find this Devred Gimnoth?"
(I'm guessing that I will be referred to another town, and that when I get there, I'll stop at an inn, where I'll ask some random person, who happens to be another PC, where I can find Devred Gimnoth, and I'll meet the party that way. Is that the idea? If so, I'll skip up to that point, and move on to the PBP thread, to which Me'mori has helpfully linked.)

Melissa
Since you have arrived in Oppara , you have found work for a factotum of the count of Eisekulp gathering information for him . He now explains to you he has a long term mission for you . he has arranged for you to be the representative of the church of Aroden for a group going to recover and transfer propriety of items to the church of Iomedae . He explains to you he could not care less about the failure or success of this mission . Your REAL mission will be to spy on one Adjunta Paul priest of Abadar and report anything in his acts which could serve to harm his reputation ...

it is possible to host images on Imageshack, or a Blog if one has one, otherwise, provided that you have it scanned at the size you wish to display, any free image hosting site ought to work, as you only need it up long enough for us to save if it will be relevant over a long period.

Hey guys, combat is pretty manic with this many of us, so could I make a suggestion.
Once the boss-man calls for Initiative, we all roll it and declare our actions for the next round.
Once everyone has posted, or an amount of time has passed so that Robin NPCs people who haven't posted yet, he gathers up all of the happenings in the round along with the monsters actions, and makes changes to people's actions who become invalid.
Maybe this format?
The thespian lunges upright with a feather, roll initiative please!
Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
ROUND 1 ACTIONI move towards the thespian as fast as I can and attack.
If I reach him, 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
ROUND 1 ACTIONI tumble, for no apparent reason!
Acrobatics! 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (14) + 20 = 34
=Round 1=
[FF] Init 20: You reach the thespian and attack, but his acting causes your sword to flinch and the blow doesn't hit.
[Thespian] Init 10: The thespian begins to recite Shakespeare, can everyone make Will saves before the next round.
[CR54] Init 3: You tumble successfully into a position 10' from the thespain.
Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
..etc.
Then every round, people start with
Init: 20
ROUND 2 ACTIONS
I dance! etc.
Maybe thats a silly suggestion but what do you think especially you Robin/boss-man? It might make everything more straightforward to read and understand, I'd hope anyway.

Speaking for myself, if I know a lot of characters and monsters - especially monsters - will be taking their actions before I do, I will want to see the outcomes before I post my actions, or even seriously THINK about them.
And when we first roll for initiative, if I make a lousy roll, so I expect to lose initiative to a lot of characters and monsters, then, also, I would want to see what happens before I consider my actions.
Otherwise, my declarations get too confusing. "If this happens I'll do this, if that happens I'll do that, and if the other thing happens... etc."

Heren , this is what I do in a way .
The simplest way I've found to do it is to divise the rounds and after each action by an enemy , I'll say which of you can act before the next enemy act
If by example Hasim , Mel and Ianthe can all act , all of them can post in any order , the justification being that they delay with each other . This way the first to connect do not have to wait for the two others .
If ,for some reason (like going on holidays) one of the others like you or Adjunta want to post an action before I say he can act, I would like him to put it in a spoiler so as not disturb the others . Otherwise , I would prefer him to wait.
Trust me , I have seen rounds going into pure chaos if we do not do so . The record being if I remember rightly someone saying his action for round 5 while the others were still acting round 2 ...

Yeah, that's pretty much my philosophy when I GM too, if I'm understanding you correctly.

I must tell you that my availability will be very limited soon. I'll be able to post freely for another day or two. Then for the next 5 days, I will be able to post very seldom. Then for the next 2 or 3 days after THAT, I won't be able to post at all. The GM might have to take over my PC now and then during that time. (And hey, the GM did a good job carrying out my wishes so far.) Or maybe the GM might pass control of my character to another player during that time.

Adjunta needs a few gold for the crossbow, he's got 25 so he'll need another 17. Also, quick heads up, a week from today I'll be leaving for a vacation. I'll be bringing my laptop but it might be impossible for me to post anything. I'll be away for the rest of April and most of May, I leave on the 28th of April and get back on the 28th of May.
