Solo Tactics and counting yourself as own ally

Rules Questions

So just a question on solo tactics, If I count as my own ally, then aren't I always adjacent to myself in some way?

In regards to Teamwork feats like shield wall and shake it off.

I think the only one adjacent to themselves in this situation would be the GM.

As they would most-likely be beside themselves when you brought this up.

I'd say that this is obviously intended to be one of the cases where you don't count as your own ally

First, Solo Tactics has no bearing on who is a qualifying ally or not. So lets not let the use of that muddy the waters.

Second, this FAQ states that you count as your own ally except in situations where that is impossible or does not make sense.

Clearly, you are not adjacent to yourself, so it is impossible.

So no, you cannot benefit from teamwork feats that require an adjacent ally if you do not have an adjacent ally that is not you.
