c5, c6, c7, d7 and drawing kama(s), diagonal still cost 2 for the second right? (not that I took 2) Then I'm fighting defensively

Gunnom moves farther into the arena, drawing 2 kama in the process, she looks around as shrewdly as she can muster, which is to say soporifically, and chortles "Where be studmuffins? Me like."

Edit: stupid website! behave!!

I forgot to mention. Make a perception check each round.

Drunk tries to climb out of the pit.

Climb: 1d20+10=22
If he gets out with a standard action left, full defense, for AC 20. If not, activating Dodge for AC 17. Also, just put him in the square of your choice on the south side of the pit, if he gets out.

F? Half orc Monk 3

perc ck:1d20+7=27 not bad for a first roll!

Tallis: Make a second save, same DC or lose another point of Con.

Inebriated Ascetic wrote:

Drunk falls into the pit.

Reflex: 1d20+5=11

The Drunk Monk falls 10' before his fall is slowed by sheets extended across the pit. He falls another 10' through a number of other thin sheets. These slow his fall enough that he takes no damage from the fall. Unfortunately, they are sheets of webbing. Big spider webbing.

If Joey returns, he can deal with the spider.

Lil' Jakie wrote:

O6, N6, M5, L5, K5

Reflex save: (1d20+8=19)

As Jakie rushes towards Lord Flash, flames burst up through the slats in the floorboards.

4 points of damage and you can end your move in any adjacent square.

Ilil wrote:

Acting last, Ilil seizes the opportunity of her successful return of the sticky bag.

She takes the direct approach, C11-C12, and then punches at Tallis with nonlethal damage.

Wow, IC is my friend. That's 14 to hit, 1 damage.

Ilil taps Tallis.

Ms Gunnom wrote:

Ms. Gunnom sees the dart fly out as she passes between the posts and manages to avoid it.

Round 4. The entire arena explodes with grinding noises as heavy iron gates drop from above each doorway blocking all eight exits.

New Map.

Gunnom cannot act first this round, otherwise post in any order you wish.

Male Human Monk 3

Fortitude: 1d20+6=14

With a passion born of his failure to land a single blow, Tallis lashes out at Ilil.

Flurry of Blows: 1d20+2=19, 1d20+2=18, 1d6+3=9, 1d6+3=7 Wow. This may be the first time Tallis actually managed to hit someone in melee.

"Ouch!"

I'll end in L4 if that's fine.

Male Halfling Monk 3

"By the sun but that's Hot!" I cry as the flames lick my furry toes.

Still I try to regain momentum and I roll around the caltrops (k3) and then back up towards the other monk (J4).

"NOISY CRICKET!"

I kick my foot at the other's face.

Do you want to use my previous attack roll or do you want a new one rolled?

We'll keep the old one.

Male Human Monk 3

Lord sees the flames lick out at the halfling and smiles.
turning to face the incoming target he takes the blow dealt to him and responds with a downward punch, followed swiftly by a spin kick aimed at Jackie's head.
Flurry of Blows. (1d20+5=21, 1d20+5=23)
Damage. (1d6=2, 1d6=2) That was sad...

Male Halfling Monk 3

"Oooo, Ow!"

The Exchange RPG Superstar 2009 Top 8

Just Gunnom and Ilil left for this round, right?

Merry Christmas all!

F? Half orc Monk 3

f8 f9 g10, then what would I have to do to move onto the plank? well I'll give you an acrobatics ck and then the usual perc ck.
1d20+7=8, 1d20+8=25

well the acrobatics ck didn't go so good, but I'm really alert and perceptual!

Gunnom moves with the intention of crossing the plank. "Look fun!" she says as she nears it to no one in particular.

Tallis pounds Ilil hard.
LJ rolls out of the fire, around the caltrops, and tags Lord Flash.
Lord Flash punches and kicks at LJ tapping the halfling twice.
Gunnom approaches the odd bridge in the center and stops short of stepping onto it. She immediately notices that something is in the water. It darts by and around the stone pillar in the center. She also notices that there are pipes just below the boards and above the surface of the water.

ROUND 5: Anyone but Gunnom can go first.

The gates that shut blocking each door remain shut. You hear low mumbling sounds coming from two of the gates (J0 and P0).

Perception 10 for LJ or Lord Flash:

Spoiler:

You notice three figures dressed in torn and faded martial training gear murmuring and gathering at the gate to watch in interest. The closest one reaches out towards you but is far too far away to reach. His face seems to be hidden by the shadows of his hood.

Perception 20 for LJ or Lord Flash:

Spoiler:

The face of the one reaching out towards you isn't hidden in the shadows. It is partially destroyed. He has no left ear or eye and no jaw at all. His tongue flaps uselessly at his neck.

Gunnom, crossing the planks will take an acrobatics check. The planks are 4 inches wide and bouncy.

Male Human Monk 3

Since I don't think anyone actually posted a duration for the Tanglefoot Bag affecting me, here it is, starting 2 rounds ago, I think: 2d4=8

Tallis enters a defensive stance.
Using Full Defense, for an AC of 17.

Male Halfling Monk 3

Perception: (1d20+9=16)

"Ooo, an audience."

I attack again.

Flurry of blows: (1d20+6=22, 1d20+6=11)

"NOISY CRICKET RAPID STRIKE!"
damage: (1d4=2)

"Take that you big oaf!"

Male Human Monk 3

Activate Dodge as a Swift Action.
Perception Check. (1d20+9=17)

Lord takes note of the newcomers but is too distracted by Jackie's wild swings to have a good look.

Lil' Jakie wrote:
"Take that you big oaf!"

He takes the hit in silence and responds in kind, connecting with a solid punch but missing the second swing as his kick goes whooshing above Jackie's head.

Flurry of Blows. (1d20+5=20, 1d20+5=14)
Damage. (1d6=5)

Male Halfling Monk 3

"Ooof..."

Gunnom steps out onto the narrow bridge and plunges into the water. As she does, flames explode over the surface and she dives down into the grips of whatever creature she saw darting behind the stone pillar island in the center.

Ilil is apparently confused by the noise that is beginning to emanate from the gates on the south side of the map.

The number of monks pressing up against the bars and groaning and growling has increased. The hateful noise drowns out even the sounds of combat and playful witticisms.

DC 10 Perception Check:

Spoiler:

The stench of death coming from thes monks is overwhelming.

DC 15 Perception Check:

Spoiler:

Bones, missing limbs, and decaying flesh makes it clear these monks are no longer living.

DC 20 Perception Check:

Spoiler:

A few monks have begun to gather at the gates on the east side too.

New round friends.

Anyone can act first. NPC Gunnom acted last and ended up in the pool.

Male Halfling Monk 3

Though my opponent does not seem to be greatly affected by my mighty blows, I continue the attack.

"NOISY CRICKET SWIFT KICKS!"

I was just waiting to fall into the pool from my failed ck last time, but if you want to be like that :b

Gunnom looks for the slithering beast.

1d20+7=9 perception ck, and does Gunnom take any fire damage

Male Human Monk 3

Since I'm assuming Ilil hasn't dissolved into the ether just because Jal probably won't be posting.

Tallis sends a quick kick at Ilil's legs.
Scorpion Strike, DC 13 if it hits, : 1d20+4=13

Sorry, did you actually say that you walked onto the board? I thought you said you walked up to it? Okay, if you walked onto it:

You're in the water and flames exploded onto the surface of the water. Diving underneath, you find something slithering out towards you but you can't make out what it is with the flames and chaos of the pool.

6 points fire damage. Reflex DC 15 for half.

F? Half orc Monk 3

Ref save for half damage...WOOT! Wish that was an attack roll. I will delay till the slitherer gets near enough then strike with a kama flurry, well provided I don't have to make some other ck

"SPLUTTER!!" <sizzle> "SPLUTTER!!" incoherent splashing and cries emit from the pit in the middle.

Something long and spikey darts from behind the column, straightens out and shoots towards you like an bolt released from a crossbow.

Take your shot.

Flurry with Kama
1d20+4=14, 1d20+3=19 masterwork appears to have missed, but if 19 is a hit:
1d6+3=6

"Oh horsedoggies!!" cries Gunnom as she whiffs with the Masterwork Kama, bringing the second Kama in parallel to the first and connecting with the slithering beastie.

I'll check if that hits considering the penalty for being underwater, but, as you're underwater you did not say "Oh horsedoggies!!". You said "Gogluggegglugglug!!"

Will catch up with this tomorrow. I've had an exhausting day trying to convince some people that I'm me and that someone else is not me.

Gunnom strikes the rapily darting creature but does little to stop its attacks. A claw lashes out at Gunnom, gashing a hand. Blood gushes out into the water.

4 points of damage and DC 14 save vs. poison. Remember, Underwater = -2 attack / half damage.

The stench of death permeates the place. The groans and moans of the undead spectators who have now gathered at gates on the South, East, and North side of the arena have become a cacaphonic chorus of hate.

Male Human Monk 3

Perception Check. (1d20+9=27)

Lord tries once again to down the noisy little ball of bounce.
Flurry of Blows. (1d20+5=25, 1d20+5=16)
Damage from first strike. (1d6=6)
His hand snaps out and his open palm connects with Jackie's nose. The followup attack once again goes over his head, but only because the halfling has dropped to the ground unconscious from the initial blow.

Smiling to himself he turns, leaving the halfling laying there with blood pouring from his nose and heads towards Tallis and Ilil, seeing them as the only remaining competitors, the Half-Orc and drunkard having dissappeared from view.
He ignores the din coming from the dead monks and focuses on winning the competition.

Swift Action: Activate Dodge.
Standard Action: Punch Jackie into unconsciousness.
Move Action: J6, I7, H7, G7, G8, G9, G10, G11.

"Gogluggegglugglug!!" cries Gunnom once again in pain as poison shoots through the wound.

1d20+5=6
so full of fael. ok what happens as a result of that miserable fort save. and is it next round yet? ie. should I have attacked again?

Edit can you dodge underwater? If so I too will dodge, either way I will fight defensively

Numbness begins to creep up your arm. You get a penalty on strength and grapple checks, so don't try to grapple anything.

Ms Gunnom wrote:

I guess I'd let you dodge if you can get make DC 10 swim check. What's your AC when dodging and fighting defensively?

Yes, it is the next round.

F? Half orc Monk 3

swin ck 1d20+3=18

I got so many freakin windows open I keep deleting my post via navigating away....errrrrrrrrrrrrr!! ok. I didn't notice that the dodge bonus was already factored into the AC18. with the defensive fighting that's 20. thgat makes my to hit -6 (-2 for water and -4 for defense) my question is I get +3 to attack and damage for STR if that's impaired then my rolls may be less

1d20=16
attack
1d6+3=6
if that hits it does 3 unless the STR penalty extends to melee

Gunnom controls her pulse and adopts a defensive posture calming herself then striking with the Masterwork Kama

;-). Tallis is still up and active. Wait for his post all and then we'll go to the next round.
