We are very familiar with your motto: Sic Semper Tyrannis. And I'll have you know we don't care much for Latin.

That said, please come to our barbecue.

Freedom isn't everything. It's the only thing.

All hail Andoran and the Common Rule! Down with the Chelaxian tyrants! GenCon belongs to free men and women this year, and always!

I just got here to Absalom and signed up. Thanks for the fine welcome BBQ, fellow Pathfinders. You really didn't have to do that just for me though. It's okay that you're Chelaxians, once we show you how much happier you can be without any outside forces oppressing your freedom of choice, I'm sure you'll change your point of view.

Well if liked the barbeque be sure to try the cake...Devil's Food of course.

Sil sidles over to the shaggy man she has recently heard called Tomen X. Climbing to the top of a barstool to offset their height differences, she introduces herself. "Hello. I'm Sillitta, you can call me Sil."

<shrugs>We are just coming out of a rough patch. Now that the leading houses have finally come to an agreement on the proper length for cuffs, we are ready to reassume our place as the rightful leaders of the realm.

It is true that corruption and abuses of power were seen from time to time, but have you people no sense of loyalty?

I for one believe we are far better to follow those whom the gods have chosen for rule, than to descend into chaos and anarchy. What this land needs is a return to the peace of empire!

The gods may have punished the Taldan people for our mistakes, but it is only a matter of time before the empire rises to its former glory.

With respect, your leaders are precisely the reason why rule by the people is necessary. Under the leadership of those 'chosen by the gods', you lost most of your empire while you fiddled about with your cuffs. Even if we fail, we have taken destiny into our own hands. Join us, freedom can always welcome more brothers in arms to fight the corrupt who stand on the backs of the people.

"When people talk of the freedom, I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. No such thing now exists; but I hope it will exist. But it must be hundreds of years after you and I shall write and speak no more.

The jaws of power are always open to devour, and her arm is always stretched out, if possible, to destroy the freedom inherent to all of mankind.

Freedom has never come from king or crown. Freedom has always come from the subjects of power. The history of freedom is a history of resistance. It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.

We, free men and women of the Andoran League, carry with us the tinderboxes of freedom, and we have set our hearts afire. We will burn it all down if we must, for we would rather die free in the fire of liberty than live in the bondage of slavery."

Give me a warm bed, a good meal, and safety in the streets over your "freedom" any day of the week.

As one who served in the Imperial army I can say that I have seen what can happen when people challenge their betters. Far better to have an empire with all its faults than to descend into chaos and demon worship like your Chelaxian neighbours!

Though I may not be entirely comfortable with the "fashionable talk" at the Taldan Garden Party, I do know where my loyalties lie!

The Devil Kissers have peace in their streets, too. Everyone's too afraid of their infernal masters to do anything at all. Better to die free than live at the whim of my 'betters'. For now, let us raise ale together. And if we meet in battle, I will honour you with a clean death.

Yes, yes, yes, this is all nice and neat, but let's look at this from bigger picture: Andoran is bordered by Cheliax on the west and Taldor on the east. Are Andorans *really* capable of waging a prolonged war on two battle fronts simultaneously?

Even if that wasn't the case, Andoran's proposed revolution is destined to fail. Like a poisoned seed that grows into a stunted plant, so did Andoran taint revolutionary ideals by pardoning the reactionary leeches of the so-called "nobility". Burghers, merchants and other lumpenproletariat couldn't give up on their inbreed servility so they left their former tyrants alive and free.

So, look not towards Andoran to lead you, but to the north east where the true flame of freedom burns. Revolution will come, Citizens, and it will be a Glorious one.

That is mere propaganda created by the enemies of Revolution. Faced with the force of one incorruptible nation, western Bourgeoisie and it's military-mercantile pawns have no other options but to spread lies and slander about our glorious country.

And yet you have no bones about spreading lies about the proud nation of Andoran. I also note you are 'Sir' Oliver. It would appear the Galtan Revolution has merely changed the face of its masters. When you desire to live free from the oppression, join us, Oliver.

Sil turns her cold stare back on Sir Oliver, something of its effect lost by having to look up at the portly man. "Expensive word there friend, but not quite what I have in mind for my future," she purrs pulling her hand away.

This show was brought to you by Sir Oliver: a user with way too much free time on his hands, especially on Sunday evenings (it's 23h over here at my place).

Also, I totally think someone should do a Galt faction for Pathfinder Society. Unfortunately, Galtians (Galts?) seem to be too much stuck up with their own internal mess to pay any attention to the outside world. 'Tis a shame, really. Their anarchists would make a wonderful addition to the already complicated politics of the Inner Sea region. :-)

Yeah, yeah! Beaten by a halfling. Laugh all you want. And just for the record: if I had the money, those bombs would have been really deadly. This way, only things I could really buy were couple of firecrackers and paper confetti.

I fail at anarchy. :-(

If this is true it would appear many have earned their freedom already!

What good is freedom without the ability to buy stuff and smoke? Hmm? I'm as free as any of you lot and I get to have spiced meat and go to lavish parties!

Liberty's Edge

Sil sits down on a comfortable chair next to the newcomer, tucking her furry feet up beneath her. "For me freedom is defined by what the free choose to do with it. For example, you are happy to indulge in spiced meat and smoke. My fellow Andorans and I choose to bring freedom to those who don't have it. I'll not judge which is the more noble calling...mostly because I'd like to have a taste of some of that spiced meat. I've heard good stuff about it to be sure."

Gladly. Sadly this venue prohibits simply demonstrating some of the finer points of my ideals, so why don't we take this somewhere less restrictive. Like outside. There I'll be happy to show you the strength of my ideals. I would imagine you would find my truth cuts through your obfuscation. Nothing like a little crushing reason to cleave through the fog of doubt and slash through the clever lies of a forked-tongued fiend worshiper. I doubt any who witness our discussion will be able to deny the impact of what I say to you.
