You're good to go. I never defined Krek to have split, IIRC.
Sorry for not updating right now. I'm going through a very rough personal spot right now, and a lot of "old friends" turn out to have gone sour on some issues. Gone sour, but never felt the need to tell me they took offense.
It's not your fault, but it turns out to be your problem. I really don't feel like GMing right now. Too much on my mind, and way too much making me question roleplaying in general. I'll try to play my characters in games i do not GM as best i can, but I really can't work up the mental energy to really GM.
Sorry.

Ooooh! Suspense! Will the heroes be discovered?? Will they successfully track and destroy their prey? Or will they end up at the falafal stand holding their dumquats and wondering what happened?? Who can say?
Tune in Next time brave readers for 'Tales of Another World' to find out!

            GM TN:
I was making the posts along the lines of going back to the military quarters to talk to the field marshal.
The first post was to show Krek was leaving the house and meant to go there.
The second post places him right outside the marshal's chambers (presumably) - he is waiting for her currently.

Ok, do you mean in "real time", or during the downtime? If the former, I'll split you off into your own thread rather than going with a spoiler-fest or two concurrent scenes in the main thread.
I'll assume "real time" if you don't protest by tomorrow night ;)
Krek left from the group right from Eel's end. He enjoyed his night, did errands the next day, and stopped by the military quarter in late afternoon, which is where the last post ended.
I tried not to read much into the party's endeavors due to the spoiler effect!

Hey, Rimrock! I found the bit about Harrow points in the main thread:
You each gain 4 Harrow points. These can be spend during Edge of Anarchy for a) Rerolling any Dex-based d20 roll. You can spend another point for a second, third, or even forth reroll b) Add a +1 dodge bonus to your AC for one encounter (max +3 per encounter) or c) to increase your base land speed by 10 feet for one encounter
I had completely forgotten about the Dodge bonus...
Is it alright to use one in the middle of battle? This is looking rough!
Krek?

I wonder if Krek has seen the posts about getting him into the fight. Alandra doesn't have selective channelling does she?
Unfortunately she does not. When I built her I was not familiar with that feat, so not only did she not take it at 1st level, she can't take it a 3rd either since her Charisma is only 12.

Yeah, sorry about that. I think this is actually the first time I've taken damage in any of the PbP games going, and I wasn't sure exactly where the record-keeping needed to be done.
I'll fix it as soon as I can. Gotta drive somewhere for a bit and I'll be back at another computer(which blocks Invisible Castle unfortunately).
Thank goodness for d12 hit die!

Here I go. Is this okay for quick reference in my character page, Terra?
Total HP: 26 (30 when raging)
Temporary HP from rage: 4
Current HP : 7 (raging)(4 temporary hitpoints)
Total Rage Points: 14
Current Rage Points: 8
Oh wow, this is looking pretty bad. I kind of wish Ayedah had looked into the wonderful world of potions when she arrived in town now. ;)
Krek, I was just going to post this here so I don't clutter up the Breakaway thread, but I think Terra was handwaving getting you back to teh group. I think the idea was that you could be passing by, but I'm not certain.

Rolling hit points goes under the same honors system I generally use here, so just use whatever tool you like. :) I'd like you to keep current HP on your profile pages, if that's not too much trouble.
Since there seems to be a bit of confusion regarding the Breakaway concept, once more with feeling: These scenes are "windows into downtime". There won't be combat, and I'll use my powers of railroad to keep you away from too-serious discoveries or changes. Essentially, there are a chance for a bit of additional fluff to go alongside the rather strict and pulled main story.
This means you always exist in the main thread, and I'll take care you have that chance. That means Krek can jump right back in. Come up with any sensible reason (maybe he had been looking for another ambush position further up), and join the battle.
On a related note, I always evaluate "player turn, NPC turn", in order not to have to wait for each player. Combat takes long enough as is, and waiting for 5 days rather than 1 does not make it any better. So yeah, Zalen "lost" a turn, which is why I warned you.
You can use those rolls in this turn, however.

Gotcha!
Ah, I forgot how we did the second hit die. Since mine was a 5 on a d8, I assumed it was average rounded up. I guess that's actually what I rolled.
Now I get it! I was wondering where that 7 was coming from! ;)
I vaguely remember it being a disappointing roll when I made it, so 26 must be right. I just didn't record the roll anywhere(that I can find it).
I was wondering how long it would be before "horser" got thrown around. It actually did catch me by surprise. ;)

Hiya TN and all others. I'm not sure if you guys remember Gern or not (dwarf that helped you with Lamm's child slavery ring at the beginning of this).
I suddenly find myself with far more time to commit to writing and gaming and was wondering if you would like Gern's company in the game again.
I understand if you can't work me in (given I dropped out last time, and you're a few levels higher now I believe). This will be the only PbP I'm getting involved in this time, having learned from committing to too many last time I tried. If it's too much hassle I'll understand.
Sorry to butt into this thread, but I have no way of contacting you privately TN.
Cheers

Since we are kind of in the middle of something, you'll have to wait for a bit, but I have no trouble whatsoever taking Gern back into the game. Just level him up to 2, and you should be fine.
Cheers, will have him levelled ASAP. You want me to come up with some background for what he's been up to or would you rather do that bit to explain why he's back.
Cheers

Here's my updated character sheet TN. I included the roll for hit points. Feats have been written in the order they've been aquired. Spent skill points in Intimidate and Knowledge (dungeoneering).
I figure Gern went back to his uncles place after dealing with Lamm. He spent the time there helping defend the place during the riot. If no one has already done so, he would like to have turned that crocodile the group killed into a pair of boots and belt for himself btw :)
Not much to add really for two weeks. Will be reading keenly for my intro back to the thread.
Once again I appreciate you taking me back in.
Cheers

Gern, seeing how badly things look for our heroes... any chance you just happen to live on the block these heroic fools choose for their ambush? It might tip the battle to their favor, and give you an instant "in" with the group.
Gern could just happen to be passing through this block on the way for an errand. He certainly wouldn't leave people in the lurch who had bled with him while he got his vengence.
I'll post now If you'd like. Making the assumption I start within charge range.
Cheers

Wooo! Gern! Welcome back!(and thank goodness you are!) Ayedah would be thrilled to see you, but, you know. ;)
Sorry, VP, not sure what else Alandra could have done.
Don't worry, it was a pretty sticky situation. I guess one thing Gern can bring back to the group is enough sense to curb our foolhardiness. ;)
Yeah, I'm not going to live that Stealth roll down for a while(or maybe at all!). The really bad part is I realized after the fact that I could have used a Harrow Point to re-roll. Grrrr.
Common sense tells me that dropping below 0 hp would end your rage, but I wanted to be sure about it. If that's the case, I'm at -9 hp instead of -5. Thank heavens for that stabilize roll...

It is extremely tough for a party of 3, but I'll let you in on something: You made this harder by going up against all the boys at once. The module assumed you'd assault the slaughterhouse, and face them in multiple sittings.
It fit the mood to do it this way, though, so no beating yourself up over this, you hear me? I think you may well get through this yet, especially with Gern now here, and with the most dangerous opponent down.

I figured that was the case, but when they took the hostages we had to act, especially the good characters.

I was thinking about trying to set up an ambush at the shop, but then I got paranoid about the hostages being taken somewhere else and killed, and whether or not any other fake guards were still there. C'est la vie. Don't worry about it TN. We're scrappy, we can roll with the blows!
Looking up Reincarnate ;)
