Hearing Canas groan, impaled by the Kenku's knife, righteous anger builds in Kava welling up hot and furious like a volcano. She breaks from her companions and charges into the passageway "You will pay for your treachery Rook, By Bahamut's wrath I VOW IT!!" She leaps between the Bird and Canas like a living silver and blue shield.
Kava comes screaming over the rubble swinging her sword clumsily.
Latro ducks out of sight, only to appear a moment later with a shuriken in his hand. Hoping to catch the goblin off-guard, the blade goes spinning toward the goblin archer.
"Take that you treacherous gobo. I'll be right there Kava!"
Latro starts back into the corridor and cathces the goblin completely off guard when he pops back out. Unfortunately, his aim is off.
One of the goblins passes the western intersection, firing on Kava as he takes cover at the corner.
The other goblin continues to back away from Rulf, launching an arrow from the far side of the collapsed stairs.
Canas dashes up to the bird-man and attempts to set him alight.

Canas and Kava, do you need help?
A'loran throws a ball at the goblin that explodes on impact, showering the area in sparkling magical energy.
The crow takes a swipe from Kava and takes off down the hallway, disappearing around the corner (last seen at D15).
Canas, showing absolutely no regard for his own safty, runs down the hallway.
With a gutteral cry Rulf hurls himself at the cowed goblin beating at him repeatedly with his axe Dieeee Goboooo Dieeee, Aaarrrrrrgghhhhh
Rulf tears through the collapsed stairs and nearly tears off the goblins head.
Unsatisfied with the abundance of life still in the goblin, Rulf swings again, felling the archer.
"Nice one Rulf! Now where'd that other sneak get to? Here I come Gobo!"
Kava breaks out into a full-out run on the heels of the crow. She stops in the face of the goblin and takes out her fury on him.
The goblin is quick to move away, ducking Kava's follow up swing.
The goblin moves into the open doorway, firing at Kava from behind the crow.
"Yes, Nice work Rulf. Lets finish them off."
The bird-man flips a dagger at the winded dragonborn before giving himself more distance.
Canas witnesses Kava crumple with a knife in her belly just as everyone hears Kava's voice echo through the monastary, "Bahamut take my soul. Run for your lives."
Canas runs over to Kava before turning to the fleeing birdman. "You shall pay for this, bird." The sounds of battle seem to grow louder as the bird's eyes begin to glow...
Hearing Kavas cry Rulf yells as he sprints over the wreckage, I'm a comin, lady Kava. That basted gobos gonna find it hard ta breath witout his lungs and as fer that bloody buzzard, me pillow needs stuffin.
Rulf huffs and puffs as he runs as quickly as he can. Mumbling between breaths he calls upon Kords blessing for his friends. With that his armour begins to glow into a beacon as he runs down the corridor.
Turning the corner he takes in the startling sight of a growing pool of blood around Kava Argentine and he glares with fury at the foes cowardly retreating from the havoc they have wrought.
Nice pick up Ghetto, I was thinking it was till the end of my next turn, don't know why. If you don't mind I'll change it to activate as a minor on the start of my next turn. Thanks for the heads up.
Rulf rounds the corner to see Kava in a heap and the bird-man, eyes aglow, clutching his head.
Hearing his comrades yelling for assistance, Latro moves around the corner. Seeing Kava's form lying on floor, he screams,
"NOOO! Not another new friend fallen. First Anmuspi, now Lady Kava. You will be avenged!"
Staring wild-eyed at the retreating goblin and bird-man, Latro yells,
"I hope you two have made your peace with the demons you worship, because your souls will be damned to them soon enough."
As the party converges on the hallway, the goblin steps back and shuts the doors.

Mumbling between breaths, Rulf calls upon Kords blessing for his friends. With that his armour begins to glow into a beacon as he runs down the corridor.
Continuing his sprint he closes with the supine form of Kava Argentine and slides the last few feet on his knees to end up beside his beloved friend. He cradles her head in his arm while reaching up towards the heavens with the other. Oh, Mighty storm Lord Kord I call upon ye and yer brother in arms, beneficent Bahamut to restore yer loyal servant so as she may still smite yer foes.
A nimbus of light descends from above and channels through Rulfs outstretched hand which he then places upon her brow. Kavas eyelids flicker as she is restored to her senses. There won't be any a mine dyin t'day if I got som'at to say bout it, Rulf says in a gruff voice as he leans back giving her room to move.
Canas walks up to the door and rattles the handle before realizing the door opens the other way.

Kava blinks, and her eye's focus on the fuzzy head of Father Rulf and she simles "Thanks to you and Kord my friend. It will take more than that mangey bird and a his little red bogey man to keep me down with comrades like you." Kava kicks up onto her feet and scooping up her fallen sword races towards Canas. "Are you going to keep all the action for yourself Canas?"
"Oh praise Sehanine! Lady Kava rises!! Thank you Rulf. Now what do you say we finish the treacherous bird and his stinky gobo companion?!"
With that, Latro moves behind Kava and readies to move through the door to take out the enemies that nearly ended Kava.
Latro -
"guys these guys are just playing with us. We should split up and pin them down. Rulf, lets head down this way."
