Oriental Pathfinder?

Adventures

Has there been any thought into creating an "Oriental Adventures" portion of the Pathfinder 3.75 game?

I think a clash of cultures Current Pathfinder/Oriental Pathfinder where the PCs could play either side, or a mix of both would make for an interesting and innovative AP.

An example as to how an adventure could be played by either side would be the recruitment of an ally by either side, or the removal of a rival/traitor from your side = removing an enemy leader if played from the other side. A dungeon delve could be played as finding the secret way into an enemy city from one side, or clearing the secret excape route from the city if played from the other side.
PCs could even become double agents.

This would also allow Paizo to release a Oriental Adventures line if they so desired.

I've been beating this drum, and Gninja Master Mike and Nick Logue are both huge fans of the genre, so I'm hoping we'll see an excursion into Tian Xia soon. In the meantime, there's some Vudran love (Vudra = India analog) in Pathfinder #9. :)

Have you been away from the boards for a while, ASEO? (I don't actually mean that in a snarky way. I haven't seen you in a while.) There's been quite a bit of thought about PFRPG OA stuff, and we've even had 3-4 threads discussing it.

So yes. Rest assured. We've put thought into it. :)

Yeah, since Pathfinder is so good, I haven't had anything to whine about in years now. Check out my subscriptions, I'm all about Pathfinder (although only the Pathfinder Charter Subscriber shows up in my sig header)

I've been so turned off with 4ed that I've avoided those boards, and I really trust Paizo to do a fantastic job on 3.75 (and alot of the suggestions around it are 4ed type things) that I've not pressed hard on those boards either.

I've also made Greg Vaughan my minion, so I exert my influence there as well...he also spells better than I do and has a nifty word of the day calendar.

One happy ASEO out

We're glad we could make you happy ASEO. ^_^

I hadn't heard you made Greg Vaughan your minion. Please have him continue making awesome adventures for us. ^_^

Hey ASEO,

I would just like to point out that your tag isn't SUBscriber, it's SUPERscriber. You will also note the cool border around your avatar.

We're all about the subtle, here. But for those in the know, that means we know you subscribe to...well, nearly everything.

And by nearly everything, he means everything pathfinder, just no planet stories

Oh he will. Now if we can just get him to quit his real job and write full-time...I'll admit that I regularly game with Greg, and must say that not only is he a fantastic writer, but by far one of the best DMs I've ever gamed with. I've been laughing that he keeps getting the high level adventures to write in the APs. It is good to see that he will be writing a low level one in the near future.

You know he and Wolfgang Baur (who I know has done some OA in the past) would be the perfect authors for PFRPG OA. And I'll restate, that I think a clash of cultures AP would be the perfect introduction to OA in PFRPG.

We tentatively have an AP planned to take us to Tian Xia. I'm sure Wolfgang and Greg would do an excellent job on a Tian Xia book, but I'm going to be exceedingly overprotective on that one. ;)

You had me at "AP planned to take us to Tian Xia."

Anything new on Oriental Pathfinders? Sourcebook, supplement or module?

Yes. Nothing set in stone, but it's in the works, out there on the horizon....

Damn, I was hoping that was that other hardcover you guys were hinting at, but I don't think that would work out time-line wise.

Good news!!! No, great news!!!

Which one will it be rule supplement, Tian Xia sourcebook or fitting this section of the boards Pathfinder Module?

(Actually I am hoping for all three and an AP! : )

I watch with eldritch, detached, ichthyus interest.

I have high hopes, if all goes the way I expect.

Can't say anything concrete just yet, but yes to one or more of those things. :)
