That worked out well enough. :)
These goblin sharpshooters are surprisingly effective. Next time we see some, grabbing them and immobilizing them for Frivry to flank or for Rhiannis to blast might be a good strategy.
Now I have to go pour through the PHB and pick my utility power. I'm thinking we could probably use some more healing options. :)
Good job everyone.

Yes. They don't have a lot of hit points or particularly high defenses, but they have a very to-hit and do respectable damage.

Dyrnwyna updates:
- retrain scorching burst to thunderwave.
- learn shield and expeditious retreat (not prepared) utility powers.
- Toughness feat. With the level increase, D is up to 35 hp.
Don't forget that you get +1/2 level to a lot of things, which goes up at this level. (I mention this because I nearly forgot.)

Rhiannis |

Utility power:
Fiendish Resilience
You call upon your patron entities to protect you with their fell
power. Your flesh is infused with mystic strength, lessening the
effect of enemy blows.
Daily ✦ Arcane
Minor Action Personal
Effect: You gain temporary hit points equal to 5 + your Constitution
modifier. (=>7)

Glad this level came. So here's what's new:
*Now have 33hp
*Swapped out power attack(yesh that was bad), for weapon focus (yay +1 damage)
*Took pact intitiate(stat pact). So I got a new encounter power for taking it(eldricth blast).
*Utility astral speech(+4 diplomacy). It was the best out of the bunch.

I think the three heroic warlock feats mentioned in the wish upon a star are awesome. And if I was playing a tiefling I would pick up the paragon feat aswell.

Well I got Martial Power today. I'll update on what I find. So far there two new types of fighter builds discussed. The Battlerager and Tempest.
Two new class features - Battlerager Vigor, which lets you gain temporary hit points when ever you hit with a melee attack. It also gives you a bonus to damage if you're wearing light or chain armor, and the bonus increases if you're using an axe, hammer, mace or pick.
Tempest Techinque, gives you a bonus with off-handed weapons. You also gain the two-defense feat. You recieve a bonus to damage when wielding two weapons, and the bonus increases if the weapons have the off-hand property.
More to come, and I'll open a thread for this later.

This coming Thursday is a major holiday (and often a four- or five-day holiday weekend) in the US. From what I can tell, Quinn and Gran (and myself) are in the US, not sure about Dyrnwyna.
This will have little effect on my posting; please speak up if you expect significant delays on yours -- and if so, please give me some tactics to work with (and pre-rolls if you don't want me rolling for you). Otherwise, I'll just treat Thursday like a weekend day.
Thanks.

I am, in fact, in the U.S.. Eastern Standard time if it ever matters.
I may be able to check the board once or twice Thursday evening but it's touchy.
I don't care if you have to roll for me. As for tactics, Quinn will most likely use Sacred Flame from a distance to deal radiant damage and stay behind Gran. Quinn isn't wearing armor at the moment so he's going to be more cautious than usual this time around. When we're down to just 2-3 undead left and he hasn't taken too much damage, he'll be willing to run in and turn them to try and finish off several at once.
Also, Healing Word should be used on anyone who needs it. If I'm not there, I would prefer that everyone who needs healing simply request it if they can. Otherwise, just use discretion. I'm pretty laid back...unless I die. :)
Cheers.

This is for all the games I'm GMing:
The semester starts Monday. I'm teaching a new prep (i.e., a class I haven't taught before) this semester, so class prep time will likely interfere with gaming time.
The game is not going on hold, and I will still do my best to post every day. The main effect will probably be to slow down combats somewhat.
But hey, next weekend is a holiday!

Just got gone reading some of Open Grave. New monsters, cults, and some info on the gods of death. The Raven Queens entry was interesting. But I wish they would some more solid info on her, instead of leaving everything to question. Hard to play a cleric or paladin of a god you know nothing about.

I'm still having fun.
Thanks. You're one of the quicker posters. Part of the problem, I think, is I've been crazy busy this past month and mostly able to update for weekends, while most of the players have been having trouble with the weekends.
We've been playing for most of a year, and it's been fun, but it's seemed to drag lately, and I'm not sure how much of that is just my perception.

TGZ101 |

I'm still having a lot of fun with Quinn. I'm not sure what's dragging so much but the pace isn't so slow that I'm losing interest. I think it's mostly just the fact that the game has been going on as long as it has...for about half the group anyway, I know I haven't been in it nearly as long as others have. There's also the fact that people just get busy every once in awhile.
I think that for someone who's busy all the time you're posting plenty often. I know that I've been too busy with exams/real life/etc that I've gone awhile without posting before. That's why when I do post I try and make it something worth while most of the time. I recently stopped posting for another game on these boards because we were sometimes going a week without anyone posting. When we get like that then I'll really be worried.
I'm happy to keep things up as long as everyone else is willing. I don't get to play 4E much anymore and this has been a great outlet for me.
