Stepping into the small foul smelling room Thelix(and whomever follows him into the room) sees that the room seems to be a combination bedroom and study. A wooded bed with a lumpy matress stands against the east wall, while a round table heaped with dirty plates, bread crusts, stained goblets, fruit rinds and scuttling cockroaches sits nearby. At the foot of the bed sits a strong box, a slightly rusted lock securing the lid. A sagging dresser filled with moth eaten clothes well past their glory days is in on corner-what appears to be a wooded hatbox surrounded by a small cloud of flies sits atop this dresser.
Andreas slowly checks the body of Lamm and finds the old man stink first. He also finds the hand cross bow and a masterwork dagger.
On the table and cabnets is various junk, nothing of real value or even worth picking up.
Andreas looks for keys, wondering where Lamm hid the strongbox' one somewhere. He also pockets the mw dagger.
Sun Fei remains out of the foetid smelling room. She has no interest in stealing anything that might once have belonged to Lamm.
Inros takes Tara into his arms and won't let go. He is beyond stunned. He cannot believe that his search has ended and she is now safe. Inros puts his large hands on Tara's small arms and holds her at half-arms length to get another good look at her. She is dirty and skinnier than when Inros last saw her, but it really is her.
"Tara, you are safe now! Soon, you will be back at home!"
Looking around the room for the first time in awhile, Inros notices only he and Sun Fei are there with Tara.
"Sun Fei, this is Tara, my cousin, the apple of my eye! I cannot believe we are together again!"
He then notices the body of Lamm, bloodied to a pulp. "Thanks be to Iomedae that evil man is stopped," but quieter he also prays "and thanks to Calistria that I know revenge."

The brave man Hal, looks under the bed and only finds a nest of mice and other creepy crawly thing lurking. After checking the strongbox for traps and finding none he moves onto the lock, the strongbox's lock takes some time even in its condition but Hal finally opens it right about the time Andreas's remembers he had the key he fished out of the water before the battle with Lamm. Inside is glittering with Lamm's treasures,

a fist sized scrimshaw carving of a kraken with garnets for the eyes
a silver ring bearing the inscription "For Emmah- The light in my nights"

a tiny glass tube of some kind of oily substance
a adamantine arrowhead
an abalone-shell holy symbol of Shelyn
an obsidian wand
a crystalline vial containing some kind of liquid
a bejeweled brooch with a broken glass
Out of all the stuff in contained in the strongbox you can tell the brooch is worth the most. The circular gold brooch depicts a pseudodragon and an imp coiled around each other in an almost ying yang pattern. The eyes of each creature are gems themselves.....
After a careful search around and talking to Tara you know that all the other children must have fled. Andrea's is somehow drawn to the hat box.........
Full morning has come and everyone is hungry and tired.......
Thelix against his better judgment sheaths his greatsword, and moves to open the hatbox. "We have to know" he simply mutters under his breath as he shoos the flies away from the box.
He also casts detect magic seeing if there is anything glowing from the box or the items lain out on the table.
"Agreed, staying here would be counter productive. Some of that should go to the poor kids that Lamm destroyed, if we can find them again." says Sun Fei. She moves to the door, opening it to the fresh air and bright sunshine.

The sun is up and it seems it going to be a good day with Lamm out of the picture until you all hear the frantic clang of alarm bells singing out in harmony. A large BOOM can be heard and the hairs on the neck of Andreas stand up, he knows very powerful magic is being used on a big scale as he is looking through the loot with Hal. Sun standing by the door facing the Jeggare River(East) spots a wing of Sable Company griffon riders streaking across the sky heading west into the heart of Korvosa behind you. Inros and Tara come up beside Sun wondering what in the hells is going on out there.............

Hearing the clamor Thelix rushes to see what the turmoil is all about.
Andreas was waiting for Thelix's magic to show up some magic and for the cleric to indicate the items in question. With the new strangeness in the air, he moved faster to the hat box and grabbed it, also making a beeline for the wand. Thinking discretion the best part of valor, they could always identify magic in a safer environment.
Inros's eye is naturally drawn to the arrowhead, so he picks it up and gives it quick look. He also decides to grab the ring and the figurine, and follows Hal's lead.

(A short time ago) While Hal and Andreas are looking at the contents of the stronbox Thelix checks out the hatbox on the dresser, Thelix shoos the flies away and looks into the hat box to find a severed head, after the shock wears off he takes a closer look and recognizes its the head of Zellara's, the Harrow Fortune Teller, the one who organized this whole adventure in killing Lamm. He casts a quick spell to see if he can see anything magical, in the bottom of the box he notices a deck of cards, he pulls it out. He also notices magical auras coming from the strongbox. While looking at the cards a clanging can be heard out side plus he senses great magic being used. He moves over to join the others at the doorway to see whats going on outside.
(Present)The group explodes into action, everyone grabing the loot out of the strongbox as fast as they can and making their way outside. Morning has come and you have to squint a bit from the brightness as you transfer from the little light from the Fishery to outside. Not wanting to deal with the spiders you all help each other climb up to the boardwalk above. You make to the street and start walking in some direction trying to look normal in all of the chaos that is going on around you, you can now hear the clash of steel on steeel, smoke rises in the distance, the clanging is louder now that you are on the street level, you can see one Sable rider crash into a statue not far off in front of you raining blood everywhere and amid all of the noise you can clearly hear a hearld voice above the din shouting out "The King is dead! Long live the Queen!" over and over again. At the same time you can hear chants crying out "Hang the Queen" and "The usurper whore must die!" As you are making your way you see a street over a squad of Hellknights clad in dark iron armour and horned helms pursuing a small gang of what to appears to be looters, the city has gone mad overnight........................
Thelix looks at the head in disgust. What can he tell about it?

After examining the head for a moment you can tell it has been away from the rest of its body for a long while.......
Thelix drops the box as realization dawns on him. "She's been dead for a while". Then he hustles to follow the others out into the street.
OOC: I'll have sporadic Internet service for the next four days so feel free to play Thelix as needed.
Sun Fei scoops up the last of what's left (the cigar case, the glass tube, the shuriken, and the holy symbol) and runs to follow Hal down the street.

Your group dashes out of the dock area and onto Sunrise Boulevard. Chaos is all around you, people pushing and shooving, smashing of windows and the beginings of looting can be seen. You pass the Bank of Abadar which has closed its doors to the public and is heavily guarded by a contingent of the Coin's Faithful standing ready with halberd and crossbow to repel would be looters. Continuing on youturn onto Northgate Ave. passing City Hall and the Longacre Building(city jail for the cities most violent criminals) also under heavy guard by the temple guards of Abadar. You stop up short as you can see there will be no way to get through Jeggare Circle, heavy fighting is going on by all kinds of Korvosaian citizens. Luckly Hal knows a few short cut and safely get you around the fighting by taking a few well choosen alley ways. Once you get back on track onto Mainshore Boulevard you head straight over the bridge into Old Korvosa Island. It is a little quieter here as the news is slowly spreading to it. Hal leads the way to his contacts place, once there the shop seems closed. A small two story building, all of the windows are shut and covered over and no life seems to be about. It looks normal to Hal though. As you all stand there, Andreas does notice or thinks he notices that someone has been following them, he's not sure thou as he was lost in thought, thinking now that Lamm is dead how can he regain his good name. Inros keeps Tara by his side for safety, she's a bit winded by the fast dash out of the city proper. Her safety is all thats on his mind at the moment and how is he going to get her back home. Sun and Thelix wait to take Hal's lead. Sun has her hand on her ancestral sword ready for any danger, she knows the dangers of this part of town from her past. Thelix on the other hand is quite content, the last missing piece from his life has now been taken care of, Lamm is dead he thinks with a smile while looking at the building. Hmmm, now what to do......
Sun waits for Hal. At the moment she is watching for signs of danger. Thoughts drift to her mother and Sun hopes that she is okay. If this goes no where, she'll likely leave the group and head south again even though she is probably better off in times of turmoil within a large group of armed individuals.
After fulfilling his revenge, Andreas was longing for a warm dinner and some well-earned good night's rest and spell studying. Some careful going over the magical artifacts would also be welcome. Of course, having the city in turmoil upset most of his plans. For now on, he was content to stick to the others, looking for safety in numbers.
"If we are being followed, that must be unrelated to Lamm's, as his gang seems to be done for. So either it's somebody taking advantage of the present chaos in the city, or we are being shadowed by some other of Lamm's "old acquintaces". If that was Zellara's head back in the hatbox, either there is some serious supernatural force at play or we were set upon by a powerful illusion. Definitely we should find a safe house and regroup and regain strength".
Inros goes to the alley's corner to help lookout for Hal. He keeps Tara behind him, towards the building where he hopes she is safest.

After a period of time Hal finds a window that he can open and squeeze through. He drops into the room which is the store front where all of the clothing is sold to the public. There is a candle lit sitting on the counter. Hal goes to the front door to let the rest of the group into the building, once everyone is in he relocks the door and goes into the backroom to see if his contact is around. He steps through the curtain and finds the man he was looking for fast asleep on a cot. The room reeks of booze and vomit. Its a small room with a back door and a few boarded up windows. Hal knows there is another room below this one where all of the shandy deals take place.
The rest of the group is in the main room surrounded by cloths of all kinds, shapes and colors.....
Before, Inros might be bothered by Hal's flip remark about the king, but he is beginning to see things differently now.
He takes advantage of the surrounding clothes to find something new for Tara to wear.

Geadon wakes up out of his drunken stuper and spots Hal through blurry eyes, he does recognizes the voice though. What do you want? Why are you bothering me at this time of night? The king? He sits up and a wave of nausea assults his body.
Inros has no trouble finding some clothes to fit Tara with Sun's help, but no shoes can be found to fit her and the clothes are of a boys style.
Andreas peeks out the window and sees the same man he thought was following them, across the street leaning against a building trying to blend in but he is not doing a good job of it. He's dressed in an Korvosa uniform but it is dirty and many stains can be seen on it. He's a lean man with packets of steely muscle on his well-honed physique but by the looks of him he has not shaven in weeks.
Thelix waits and paces back and forth by the counter trying to hear whats going on behind the curtain but only hears whispers so far.
"we have someone shadowing us. Looks from the Korvosan guard, or at least wears uniform. I think we should ambush him in turn and get to know why he is following".

Geadon says to Hal Well, with all that going on out there why are you bugging me then? It seems to be safer here inside than out there anyway! You got something for me then, huh? Been looting have we? He chuckles and gets up to get some water and relieve himself in the chamberpot.......
Replying to Andreas, "We did just knock off Lamm. I wouldn't be surprised if there were associates of his around or people who wanted something from him. We couldn't be the only ones he tried to destroy."
"And coincidentally we are also the holders of Lamm's patrimony of valuables. We should get info on those items fast, and we should deal with our friend out there: he seems to be the only one so far to know where we are".

Geadon takes a look at the stuff as he is slowly climbing down the ladder but stops short. His eyes widen,That...that brooch where did you get that again? I not going to touch that thing and no one in their right mind would either. He pauses a minute just looking at it shaking his head and gives a whistle. What you have there my friend is the Queen's brooch who reported it lost awhile back. And from what you have said the new ruler of this city. He looks up at you from the brooch letting the news sink in to your head. I'll give you 200 gold sails for the other piece you have there and I'll look at the rest of the stuff you have but you need to get that brooch away from me as quick as possible, I don't want my name anywhere around the thing.....Your best bet is to give it back to her, that my advice at least. Now show me the rest quickly!
Inros tells Tara to wait up stairs while he goes through the trap door to show his loot. He shows the fence the arrowhead, ring, and figurine.

A call for the rest to come to the back comes from behind the curtain. Hal shouts out for anyone who wants to unload their loot to come on into the back. Hearing this Inros enters the back as the rest keep an eye on Tara. He shows Geadon his items, an arrowhead, a ring and the figurine. Geadon offers the following: 60 gold sails for the arrowhead, 150 gold sails for the ring and 450 gold sails for the figurine. Seeing no one else enter the room and Geadon wanting them to leave quickly they take their leave. Andreas checking again at the window sees that the tail is gone from his watching post. It is time to move on and it would be best to get the brooch off their hands as fast as possible......
Sun Fei brings her trinkets back as well to see if they'll fetch anything.
I'm still in. We have internet access at the new home now for a few weeks, so I have been able to check daily again.
