About Inros HarDescription: Spoiler:
Inros Har is of unexceptional size, standing 5'10' and weighing 185 pounds. He has plain and dark features. The most unusual thing about his appearance is that he looks larger than he is. He spent much of his teens as a shepherd, building muscles from the hard work of his rural life. But a few years ago he moved back to the city where he was born and let his strength wane as he worked mostly in a shop. He still has the frame that once held his young, but bulging muscles, but those muscles no longer bulge. But to those that don't know him well, his appearance can be intimidating. Inros lives above his uncle's shop, in the Highbridge ward of Midland. There he shares a room with his older cousin Heath. Inros cannot wait to move out on his own, but he just does not know what he wants to do with his life. At least, he does not know what he wants to do after he finally finds his young, missing cousin, Tara.
Background:
Spoiler:
Inros' father, Jarl, was the second son of a Korvosan cloth merchant. While Inros' grandfather ran the business, Jarl and his brother worked to learn the trade. Jarl married his childhood sweetheart, Laribeth and two years later, Inros was born. Jarl and Laribeth had no other children to their dismay. When Inros was 9 years old, his grandfather died. Since Inros' uncle took over the cloth business, Jarl decided to move up the Jeggare River. There, he, Laribeth, and Inros started raising sheep so he could sell the wool to his older brother. For years, all was well for the Har family, both in Korvosa and up-river. Inros enjoyed his life outside the city where his father would take him fishing whenever he could. Other men in the area also taught Inros how to hunt. He was an impressive shot with a bow before his voice changed (to put it nicely), and had won his share of archery contests at festivals. Inros also enjoyed his visits in Korvosa when he and his father would take the wool downriver to his uncle. Inros would run around the city with his older cousin, Heath. Tara, his younger cousin, always wanted to tag along, but Heath would not let her, saying their adventures were not fit for girls. But Tara was the apple of Inros' eye. He had no sibling, and thought Heath did not understand how lucky he was to have a sister. So Inros would talk Heath into letting Tara come along. The easy good times all changed when Inros was 15 and tragedy struck. Some never-before-seen disease wiped out the Har herd. Some said the local herders had not pleased Erastil, while more feared agents of Rovagug were at work. Either way, it did not matter. Jarl's livestock were dead, and he was financially ruined. With no other options, Inros' parents moved back to Korvosa, where Jarl went to work for his older brother. In Korvosa, life was good and bad. It was tough for Jarl to go to work for his brother when he had been out on his own for years. But Inros loved being with his cousins all the time. As he matured, Heath was becoming more involved at the family shop, dealing with visiting dwarven merchants more and more. Inros occasionally helped with the merchants, mostly so he could talk to the traveling dwarves about the other cities and far-off places they had been. More than anything, he tried to run around the city with Tara, having fun. Then came the worse day of his life. While Inros and Tara were in the city markets, Inros started talking to a troupe of jonglers and other entertainers. While he was not paying attention to Tara, she wondered off into the crowds alone. By the time Inros realized she was gone, it was too late. He frantically looked all around for her, but she had vanished. That day, he vowed to find Tara, or forfeit his life looking. He was 16. She was 10. He has spent the past two years scouring the city. He has heard rumors of a man. A man who uses kids for his evil purposes. A man named Gaedren Lamm. He has since begun worshiping Iomedae, asking for the will to continue. Inros seeks justice. At least, that is what he tells himself...but sometimes, he finds himself cursing Lamm in Calistria's name... is it justice, or revenge, that Inros seeks? Using hero lab to make characters now. It does not know urban ranger changes (that I can tell). Only differences are Urban tracking and wild empathy is 1/2 ranger level). I think knowledge (local) would be a class skill with urban ranger, too, so that would add 5 to that.
