To everyone, thank you for putting up with my scarceness. It has not been an easy holiday season for me, and I know some others have had even more tragic events. Guy, my deepest condolences on the loss of your grandfather. Craig is very taxed at the moment, so Bethany will be on hold until such time as his life gives him some breathing room.
Congrats on your elevation to Grandfather, Rags! You now get all the bennies of a little kidlet without the headaches! Invest in sugar and violent video games as bribes ... ;)
James, I'd love to play a game of yours, but seriously at the moment I am finding it hard to get this game updated, and I think it would do your game a disservice if I came in and half-participated. Thanks for the invite though. If you do decide to put some of you RPG works up for sale sometime, let me know. I ain't a big collector but I like buying original artwork, especially fantasy themed.
I did get some PDFs for Christmas, so I have a lot of SGG's stuff for Inquisitors and Cavaliers, if you 'new' guys are interested. I still have to find time to peruse them, but I do have them.

Assuming Merle and seph survive this I was planning to have Merle take Seph on a shopping trip so I am just wondering in advance if It would be possible to get Seph clothes that would change shape from His cat to humanoid form. Also since Seph is now fairly diffrent from a normal cat familiar next lvl Merle gains a feat would it be better if she used it on Improved familiar?

Kevin, that would be totally possible in Sigil. It basically has unimited access to (possible) magical items. I would say IF as a feat would likely be a good idea, since Seph seems to be basically a second character at this point.

Note to all: I will be back in China next week for business (leaving Sunday and back Friday). During that time, it is unlikely I'll be able to post (I'll try, but last time if I wanted hotel internet I had to pay out of my own pocket - not gonna happen; I'm cheap). Please NPC me as needed.

Have fun in the Middle Kingdom Bryan. We'll drag Ekuur along as needed.

Hmm looking at my character I was wondering if I could just drop the weapon finesse feat for IF?

I have a rules question that I figured would be less disruptive to the flow of the game here.
Ekuur asked Nari to let him through the wall of cold. Now I don't know that that's possible without just dropping the whole thing, and I can't remanifest it due to a lack of power points. Would it be alright to spend one power point (which would leave me with three left total, unless my math is totally off) to make an opening without dropping the wall?

Thats fine Nari, by all means.
TO EVERYONE: I know my posting has been spottier than normal. I have been dealing with many real life obligations and problems. Also, the whole 'dreamscape' episode is me trying to accomidate the resourcefullness of the players and going off on a total tangent away from the flow of the original module. It has been very hard for me to try and work a 'dream fight' while noticing that several other PCs have not been able to do anything for several weeks while this fight has dragged on. I apologize to anyone who feels as if they were marginalized by the recent turn of events.
I am going to say at this point that most of my updates will be weekend-nly events until further notice. I apologize if this inconveniences anyone, but I have to deal with my real-world issues first.

I understand completely. RL has it's moments, but unfortunately a lot of them stink. ;P
Do what you have to do. We'll be here.
I didn't realize that you hadn't planned the dreamscape thing. I thought you had. Kudos to you for thinking fast! A lot of DM's wouldn't even have gone to the trouble. Thanks.

Thanks for the kudos Rags. One of the advantages to a PbP is you are able to take a moment, figure out what is what, and roll with the changes. The down side is that it takes three years to play what should be about a month of play in a regular game.
Updates are posted. I will try to post tomorrow, but will then be basically incommunicado until next weekend.

Patrick Curtin |

Your welcome Monkey man!
It IS a bummer that PbP can take so long.
But I personally feel it is more than balanced by the fact that this way, I get to play! :)Riddle me this,...
As a guy who (within certain limitations) writes his own schedule, WHY am I at work on my birthday?!?!?!?!
;P
Happy Birthday!
In answer to your question, the same reason my wife now works 60+ hours at a salaried job that only requires 50. A healthy sense of duty ...

Ragadolf |

Thank you all, and the 'hug' from Karrin was awesome!
So,...
Last night,
-Toilet that wouldn't turn off,
-drainage system partially clogged by construction
-entire backstage flooded, starting to enter the stage
-Standing in water up to my ankles with 80 kids in expensive Mardi Gras outfits looking for a place to potty,... PRICELESS!
:)

Hey, Patrick. Thanks for keeping things going while you're completely busy. When you get a chance, I've got a scroll tube, ring and potion I don't think we've identified yet. I'm also going through and doing some updating on Isaac's sheet just to make sure I haven't overlooked anything; doing his skills is a little rough.

Remind me where you picked them up and I will check my notes =)

Patrick Curtin |

I'm also going to just note the Isaac sold his darkwood buckler (I'm not keeping track of the AC bonus very well- better to just get rid of it) and his MWK composite shortbow for half price each and then buying a MWK composite longbow.
Gotcha. And just to move things along, I will reveal the items you found. If you don't want, you can assume you can sell them in Crux for 1/2 their retail.
Justin's Wand. Wand of Lightning, with 15 charges.
Scroll tube: Summon Monster III, IV, and V written on a scroll within. Tube itself is nodescript bronze with screw cap, nothing fancy.
Ring: Ring of Protection +2
Potion: Potion of Invisibility

lynora |

Much as I would love that ring, I think one of the spellcasters (I think Merle most clearly, since Justin's ring slots are full and Nari has armor on) or another character could benefit from it a lot more, along with the scroll.
Sounds good to me.

Howdy. Just wanted to jump in and say I hope you enjoyed your autumn death encounter. I was just reading reviews for the book and was pleased you thought to use it.
Happy gaming, and kill somethin' for me!
Thank you Steven! The Autumn Death was a big hit, I think. The fear effect was a monster smack, and if it hadn't been for a certain optimized fire mage I think the encounter would have left a few PC bodies on Yggdrasil's bark, LOL. All in all, a fine monster.
Just in case you are interested in seeing the actual battle, it occured >HERE<

Ragadolf |

Just went back and re-read that battle myself.
That was a good one! :)
Yeah, I had forgotten about the fear effect, that was a nasty one. I think we got lucky. What if one or both of those rays has missed?,... ;P
I liked the leaf-ghost. And yes Steven, It IS nice to not know everything about a creature! (Sometimes,...) ;)

Isaac assumed a mantle of "leadership" but I don't feel right going forward without polling you guys OOC before responding to our unseen attacker: you want to fight, right? My thinking is she'll get our gear off and try to kill us anyway or march us back to camp to be taken hostage while she looks through everyone else's stuff to find the rod. Or at least take what she wants to "cover her losses" (that's what I would do). And Isaac is dead-set against anyone getting that rod (and after this, probably even against Justin having it).
So I'm strongly inclined to fight her.
