Let's not be igneous of the facts. Paizo is the basalt of the earth.
Okay... my punner is clearly low on battery power.
I wonder what other stuff is on the slate for Paizo? The way they are transforming gaming is metamorphic and I hope they continue to thrive sand grow in the gaming industry.

You guys are off your ROCKers

And the number of people that actually have the Alpha will be much higher than 10.000! There are several posts of DMs mentioning that they spread their version to their groups. I sent my copy to the three guys from my group because they are too lazy to register and download it from Paizos site. Sad, I know...
Keep up the great work, Paizonians, and please don't rush it!
I'd prefer well thought out changes above hasty releases because of the constant bugging for new stuff by us fans.

Congratulations Paizo, 10,000 is quite a bit in such a short amount of time. This in itself should tell you that your doing the right things with your company and the future of D&D. I hope you will provide not just suitable changes for us, but reasoning as well. This was one area of 4th edition previews I found to be particularly poor. WOTC would make all of these changes but never really say WHY! Honestly, I think if they had said why certain changes were made, their efforts would have been better received. May I suggest Paizo benefits from their mistake and correct this issue. Good luck on the game, years of D&D lie in your hands!

It might have been the Tuesday night chatroom with Paizo on Lilith's website, DMtools.org.Somehow, I don't think this is going to be all that "niche" of a game. It may not hit the kind of sales numbers 4E does, but judging by this, Paizo should be around for a good long time. That warms my heart.
Incidentally, when does the next alpha document hit? I want to see what you guys did with some more of the classes. (Ranger, Paladin, Druid, and Bard in particular)
Drat. Few more weeks then. I'm hoping for druid, paladin, barbarian, and ranger.

Yeah, you really need to knock it off before the gravel drops and someone puts a stop to this.

Release 2: Barbarian, Druid, Paladin, and Sorcerer (3 out of 4 ain't bad, right?) per Release 1, page 64.

So, with 10000 gamers downloading it, is this the biggest playtest ever? Or does 3e count as a playtest for 3.5?
On behalf of the 3E team... ouch.
Yeah, that was a bit cold. I think Monte, Skip, and Jonathan deserve a bit more credit than that.
You are both correct. I apologize. It was snide, not meant, and had no place in this thread celebrating Paizo's success.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to extend my personal thanks for checking out our new game. For those of you new to the Paizo community, I offer a hearty welcome! For those familiar faces out there, thanks for giving the new game a shot!
I think it's save to say "Thank YOU!" ^^
