sorry for the delay guys
Good to have you back, especially given whom we just met.
Arius hopes to charm him so that we can pump him for information and incriminating evidence. I know that you and Rags are unwilling to let him weasel out of the charges in court, but the information could help Ox clear himself and may give us leads to some of Gaedren's evil allies.
After that, we'll see. Of course, he'll probably succeed on his save, ensuring an unfortunate and bloody episode.

![]() |

I have to check his init... but this might get interesting.. I'll post the map tonight for the rest of the lower floor of the fishery. He's got a little more monologing he'd LIKE to do (and a few questions of his own) and depending on everyone's init, he might be able to pull them off.

The 'Cap |

That looks a lot like the old map. Could you check the link please?
By the way, did the dagger hit Gaedren? In hindsight, Arius should have said something to the party to avoid wasting his spell... although Rags might not have listened anyhow given his history with Gaedren.
you're right - here's the real one here

![]() |

Sorry I missed that you were casting, but I guess it fits I doubt Rags would have noticed you casting either. If he did he may have waited though. the positioning is fine. I think Rags would have advanced when he threw his dagger, or when he throws his dagger he would want to make sure he had the best chance possible of sticking Lamm with it.

![]() |

Don't worry about it, Dorgar.
Arius will try not to be bitten, especially if the croc has surprise. Cap, let us know what the initiative order is after that.

![]() |

Hey, I'm going to have spotty Internet access from Friday to the following Sunday (the 22nd), as I'm visiting my family in another state. Feel free to make decisions for Arius or Branahm if you don't hear something from me over a day.
In general, Arius will use Daze on Lamm or a minion who seems vulnerable; otherwise, he'll attack with Hand of the Apprentice on Lamm. Also, he'll try to get away from the gator.
Branahm will heal anyone badly wounded and will attack Lamm otherwise. He'll use Bless in the first round, trying to center it on the fighter and rogues.

![]() |

I guess I'll have to address the "gator problem" first! I for one don't think we should outright attack Lamm if he has the fortune teller prisoner.
Anju quickly recovers from the shock of the gator jumping out of the water from behind and quickly jumps in front of it to gain control of the situation.

Is tumbling (flipping whatever) to lamm's side possible What kind of dc would I be looking at? i.e. Does Rags think he could pull it off?
I would like to flip to the other side avoiding an a.o.o. if possible but if it would make the dc to high I will just go for the flip. If rags doesn't think his odds are very good then I will take a different action.

moving up to Lamm would be a DC 17 acrobatics check for the nearest space, 20 for any of the other spaces

Rumil |

On Rumil's next turn he is going to try and jump across the pit as well and get close enough to attack.
and then attacks with thinblade if he still can this round
Attack (1d20+1=16)

![]() |

Quick post:
Branahm will heal Rags--either with a burst o' healing (if Lamm and the croc are not injured yet) or with a spell (not Bless, which he should have cast, but will cast next round if he hasn't).
Arius will step away from the croc and Daze Lamm. If he doesn't have space to move, he'll combat-cast the Daze, but he wants Lamm out of the picture.
Again, please feel free to roll what is necessary and run the Pelganes while I'm out this week; I don't want to hold up the combat.

Just for Cap's knowledge and so you guys know what I can do I'll post my spell list. Because the druid section of the PBH for Pathfinder was non -existant in the first version I never got around to assigning my spells when I made my character.
Level 0
-Cure Minor Wounds
-Detect Magic
-Detect Poison
Level 1 (I get 2 for wis bonus)
-Charm Animal
-Shillelagh

Tikaani |

On Tikaani's turn he'll attack Lamm by biting him
Bite Attack
(1d20+1 -> [20+1] = (21))
CRITICAL HIT! The damage:
Bite Damage
(1d6+1 -> [3,1] = (4x2) = (8))
The Special Effect for a piercing attack:
Critical Stuff (Piercing) (1d20 -> [12] = (12))
Also he'll try to trip Lamm (which is a grapple check with a +1 but I'm not sure)

The 'Cap |

I am bowing out of the game. I am sorry, but I have discovered pbp is not for me. I hope for the best for you guys (and gal). I hope there are no hard feelings.
Dorgar
It's not a problem, it is hard to do unless you plan on being able to check the boards a lot..
I had fun playing with you and loved the character

The 'Cap |

Three things:
1) we're now down to 3 players (running 5 PCs) does anyone know someone who would like to join and either pick up one of the players who quit or create a new Character? Rag's background is detailed enough, and Dorgar told me what plans he had for the character, that I can easily NPC him (he'll be a good informant for you guys later on)
2)You are about one battle away from lvl 2 so if you want to start working on lvl 2 character sheets you can.
3) anyone planning on doing anything now that Lamm and the Gator are down?

I guess I can pick up Guarn or make a new cleric (that would probably be easier as I really don't think I can play him the way he was being played before). I personally think that if you NPC rags and we have a healer we'll be fine as we were quite a big group to begin with.
Let's use the keys we found to open that door that the fortune teller might be behind.

Sorry that you are dropping out, Dorgar.
I'll try to think of someone, but in the meantime, feel free to invite others.
2)You are about one battle away from lvl 2 so if you want to start working on lvl 2 character sheets you can.
Okay, will do.
3) anyone planning on doing anything now that Lamm and the Gator are down?
I think that the rogues should carefully check the heavily padlocked chest for traps (i.e., Take 20). Ideally, one will Aid Another to the better searcher (probably Rumil) because that will give us the best chance of finding something.
Doing Aid Another on any Disable Device or Open Locks rolls would probably also be helpful.
Arius will probably check the hatbox for the severed head that he expects to find, but he'll have Ox stand by just in cast it's something alive (or undead).

Arius
2-pound gold ingot worth 100 gp bearing the Cheliax coat of arms,
silver ring bearing the inscription“For Emmah—the light in my nights,” - ?
a highly realistic and highly scandalous ivory figurine of two entwined succubi, worth 450 g
a tiny glass tube containing a dose of oil, -?
an obsidian wand,*
a crystalline vial (worth 25 gp) containing a liquid that smells of silver,
and a bejeweled brooch with a broken clasp worth over 900 gold )the queens).
*As You are move to inspect the wand, you trip, dropping it. The wand lands on the box in your hand after you hit the ground and you hear in your head (in Zallara's voice) wand of magic missile (23 charges),

Eric Zylstra wrote:Thanks. Anju and Rumil, feel free to look at the spoiler; Arius would tell you if you want to know.Arius: the box in your head is the one that was under the servered head, and contains the Harrow deck used in the reading at the begining of the adventure (yesterday game time)
That was the most complicated knowledge roll I've had to figure out in a while (on my side: too many unknown factors giving you pluses and minuses)

Interesting. If the Harrow deck were the (or a) cause, you're likely to see more of them. Arius is planning on holding onto the deck for further examination if his companions agree.

Hi everyone.
I will be joining your little group very soon and look forward to playing with you all. =)

Characters done. Ive emailed him to Cap. For the rest of you...take a look so you can see how he will fit into the party.
Go to Keth Longstrider.

The 'Cap |

a quick question The rewrite for toughness states 3 hit point +1 for hit dice, +1 each hit die after....
I gave Keth a +4 to his 10 (max at first level)....is that correct? or should it be 13 and the +1 statement is redundant?
I'll check out the PDF when I get home... I'm pretty sure there was a thread in the alpha boards on the toughness feat at one point, not sure what was decided there though
Edit: Here you go

Keth Longstrider |

hehe indeed. so as far as i can tell from reading the game thread...
You have The one brother who was playing the Wizard, you playing your Druid with the wolf (cool idea by the way, posting for the wolf) and one of the two thieves...is it Rags? or Rumil (sp?) that is still posting.
It looks like the other brother (the cleric) is absent ....and one or both of the thieves have dropped? Ox also looks like he moved on...
It will still be a good party...and Im really looking forward to playing in it. Im loving Pathfinder's tweaks to 3.5. and am eager to play in my first adventure path :D
ahhh an Elf ;)

Hello everyone.
I will also be joining the game. Playing a human fighter named Garth Blacksteel, pending Cap's approval.
Cap can you check that the hit points are correct? I think you said double maximum starting hp in the gamer connection thread. Is that right?
