I think this feat is now at low levels over powered
Look at a human fighter who rolled an 18 for str and now he adds that plus 2 to str now he has a 20 str plus 5 now he is using a great sword now say he has weapon focus great sword he is +1 to hit +17 to damage I hit i kill any thing at low levels
And with all this talk about reverse compatiblity there is alot of Paizo adventures with power attack already figured in now you will have to redue it
And Giants are becoming even more dangerous

I'm at work, and don't have the specific wording in front of me, but if someone who is a 1st level fighter with power attack and a Str 20 swings a greatsword, they would normally have a +6 attack roll, and do 2d6+5 damage. With Power Attack, they are forced to use a +1 attack roll, and do 2d6+15. Their chances to hit are much lower.
That beats the 3.5 version of being able to choose +5 to hit, +4 to hit, etc, and tailor it to your opponent.

I don't know what you're talking about - that is the better version. Are you assuming that the stronger characters are the bigger clod-poles, not able to tailor their attacks to a given foe?
And everybody else, who said what to get what now? I just want my avatar. And I've got it!

its 17 you get Str and a half with 2 handed weapons I could be wrong though

That was 3.0. In 3.5 Power Attack with a two-handed weapon is double strength, so +5 for the original Str of 20, plus another +10 for the Power Attack, for +17.
I get what people are saying that it's powerful, but it's less adjustable, which is a detriment. I cannot count the number of times my players have said 'we know the bad guy has AC 16 through trial and error, Noel, take a -3 on your Power Attack!'
