I am sitting down at home with 3 computers to work on, a client to call, an online PC store to set up and a job to go out to in 3hrs... AND YOU SPRING THIS ON ME!!!
Man, I just thought, "Hey, I'll just log into my account and have a quick look at my posts, and see if there is some funky new picture on the Blog... just spend 10 mins." That was over an hour ago and I just finished printing the RPG Playtest. I am sitting here with it in my hot little hands and trying very hard to not read it. Gotta do work, gotta do work, gotta do work!
I love you guys! ;)

And yet here I still am! After having a very general flip through the RPG Alpha Booklet, there are quite a few things where I have said "Yes, that is how it always should have been". Favoured Classes no longer having a down side, but instead an up side is one big one, the way the Toughness Feat works is another and yet another is the combination of some of the Skills (just 3 examples off the top of my head).
There are also some very cool new innovations that are very exciting. The "extra" +2 Ability Bonus for all races is a favourite. The new Class Abilities for all of the Classes is another (again, just a couple of examples off the top of my head).
Some suggestions (if I may) could be have alittle bit more to do with the Race of the Character. ECLs are a big bugbear (no pun intended, well.. maybe) with me. I like some of the more diverse races (Genasi are a big favourite) but I have never been able to play one through, being behind in hp has been the biggest factor in this. If you could somehow find a way to do away with ECLs in favour of some kind of advancement system then I would be extremely happy (so far this has been the only shining light to me about 4e).
Cheers
