Emmm, good point. That's all changed now with the move to PRPG....
Use the same Point buy as Reth (which should be in the last 5 or so pages of the discussion thread). PRPG alpha 3 rules, and take a bonus feat from RotRL and a trait from CotCT players guides.
That should about do it I think....
Ok the rules bits of the profile are done I'll get onto the meat when I've had time to rest up. Let me know if anything needs tending to (and whats up with the Human weapon proficiency.)

Ok, brief description done as is his immediate history, I'm planning on leaving some of the rest since the next PF has Shoanti stuff in it I believe and that will give me stuff to use so as to not end up vastly diverging from what ends up in print.
I'm also thinking that his trait isn't going to be Lamm related but again once we see the PF I should be able to come up with something interesting to tie into things.

My paper copy is due to ship by Tuesday and I got the PDF a few hours ago, the Shoanti stuff is gooood, although I now realise I've picked completely the wrong clan for one of my PBP characters - oh well, I can make it work :)

Cal has no bardic music left for the day, one first level spell left (with her choice of cure light or charm person) and some 0-levels that wouldn't help and then a couple of daggers, getting out of the way is the most sensible thing she can do to help the party :P
Besides the Hellknights are there to play with the thing, its all in a days work for them!

Atherton is a coward and doesn't care much if anyone other than Calandra bites it. Besides, it's more fun to get the Hellknights to deal with it.

Pish! I'm not nicer than you *pokes* I don't think you'll need much of a rewrite though as assumed stuff about the skull-clan is fairly spot on.
The funny one is the axe clan, who'd have expected them to be the aquatic ones? Random.

I'm thinking possibly of making his entrance be at the first meeting with Field Marshal Cressida.
That is probably the point at which the split group will re-form I think. Assuming Torillan and Malik stay with Reth, I should be able to arrange that quite easily...Then War Dawn can have been sent by Thousand Bones to help....how does that sound?

Hey guys:
First, I need to apoligize profusely for my absence.
It started with my internet connection at home going down frequently. It has since been resolved (only recently!), but that was just the beginning.
My job has been increasingly more hectic, as I am training as an EMT on the side, as well as being a Disaster Team instructor. The demands have become more time consuming.
Also, a very dear friend of mine has been hospitalized with cardiac issues (he's only two years older than I am). He has no family nearby, so I have been checking on him daily as he recovers at home (my ER training has been invaluable). He is getting better , so I check on him every other day now.
In short, my time has been eaten up, and I've tried to let you guys know, but the lack of internet connection (we can't surf at work) has hampered that. I have missed enough of the game that I feel I should drop out; however, if you want to keep the character you have my blessing. I don't think I can keep up with the game to be a good participant. I have one other game on another message board that I hope to run, but that is all I can do for now.
I've enjoyed what has happened so far, but I don't want to burden the game further. Thanks for putting up with my absence, and I am truly sorry for the inconvenience I have caused.
Have fun, and I'll check the progress when I can.

Really, don't worry about it! Part of the reason I started with 6 players was that I expected a few to drop, real life is like that.
Like I said to the others before you though, it really is your decision, but don't be too hasty. I'm quite happy either to DMPC Torillan until you are back on your feet, or failing that, like Istas, I should be able to work you back in later.
Right now the active group consists of Atherton, Cal, Malik, Reth, and the soon to be Shoanti Paladin, that is a nice round group, with a nice number of players as far as I am concerned, but not too difficult to add in one or two of your if you do decide to return.
The offer s always open, and you can find my email address in this thread if you want it.
I hope your friend gets better soon, it's been fun having Torillan along, and I'm glad you enjoyed what you did play.

Yeah, good to know your still around. All the stuff that's keeping you busy sounds like GOOD stuff except for that issue with your friend and even that seems to be going in a positive direction.
Get things running smoothly if you can and then figure out whether you have the space and inclination to rejoin us, so no pressure.
Drop by every once in awhile and say hi.
On another note I went back through the PBP thread and added together all xp rewards I was able to find and came up with this:
Everyone gets 100XP for the roleplay and backgrounds thus far.....
Ok, each take 135XP - fight with Giggles and gnome.
Have 25Xp, that was fun. - spider
Have 65XP - more spiders
End of combat. Everyone have a nice round 300XP - Lamm and Alligator
Oh, yeah, and everyone gets a 100XP story award at this point. Well done! - Finding out about Zellara
Well, that round lasted a long time! Malik just earned 135XP each, singlehandedly. Well done that wizard! - Thugs attacking Reth
Oh, and that will be 300XP each...even the pesky hell knights... For Otyugh - Nevyn put this in the spoiler for Malik and I so not even sure whether Cal and Ath know about this.
Adds up to a total of 1160 so far (we are shooting for 1300, right?). The totals differed on everyones character sheet so I am seeing if I can help out. I don't have any xp rewarded in any of the spoilers tho, so you would have to make everyone else aware of it (if it's group) or add it individually. Hopefully, Nevyn has a running total too :)
Sorry to see you go man; RL just gets in the way sometimes. I hope you can drop in occasionally and maybe rejoin the game sometime. I enjoyed gaming with you. Also, Ath was looking forward to hiding behind Torillan.

EDIT: Atherton has been updated to the Pathfinder system. I used the 20 point buy option; that was the one we were supposed to use, right?

Ahhh, Reth is an exception, newly introduced players start with the same XP as the rest of the group (or the average of the group is probably better) at the time they "start".
I count starting as being the point they first begin interacting with the group.
So, Reth *already* had the XP that the others got in the Fishery, just by happy coincidence. Same will happen to you :)
Or, ideally the whole group keeps the same XP, and I will sometimes bump peoples XP a little to keep that correct (i.e. you will almost always all level at the same time, to keep my life easy) but I can't justify giving XP for running away from a fight, even if that *is* in character....
Don't worry though, I'm sure they will find a way to catch up beofre they rejoin the group ;)

Whoops, sorry. Just thought the xp reward being in there was unintentional as they interacted with the thing most of the fight (see now I feel bad for saying anything). And here I was thinking of getting Malik to run off too and then just pelt it from afar while the Hell Knights fought it.

LOL, not to worry. I certainly am more focused on the roleplaying than all these numbers. I just wasn't certain if we were supposed to be keeping a running tally or whether Nevyn was (or both). If Nevyn just wants to do it and periodically give us updates than I am all for that (I don't mind tracking it if it helps tho). Half the time in my tabletop groups we don't bother with xp at all and the GM just decides when he feels we should gain another level.

My only concern with this group is getting Ath to do somethings for the love of Korvosa rather than just the cold hard cash......not
