Once again, you do not disappoint. If you don't mind my asking, what's the thing in the upper right of the Swire/Rhegdar thumbnails sheet?
James Keegan
That's actually going on the cover of the Open Game Table RPG Blog Anthology: it's an arcane mechanic working on a mechanical lobster thing, like an Apparatus of Kwalish. The final version (which looks different on the cover because it's in a view-finder thing with static and stuff) is here.

Available on March 23rd, despite was Amazon says.

Wow ... love it! Not sure his head looks small at all. This is very cool; in all my years of playing, I've never had a sketch of one of my characters done. Really makes him start to come alive!

I'd love to, but I'm already in so many pbps. Plus I have at the very least skimmed every adventure out so far in the APs. And I probably already spend too much time I should be using to draw on Paizo and other internet activities.
Let me tell you something you already know: browsing online personals? Great way to make yourself feel like the most sane person in your area code.

Pat, it very likely will be LoF for just that reason ... though would you still be interested in SD despite having read it?
I'll probably get something official posted within the next week.

No worries James. Yeah, people having read the adventures is a fact of life if you're trying to run Paizo material at Paizo's site; most of us have some sort of subscriber tag after our names after all. While I prefer to run an AP that I've read in its entiritey before I start, that's why I'm kind of thinking of getting in early on Legacy of Fire.
Never browsed online personals, I like to experience immediate and personal rejection ... I reckon they'd be educational though. Any stand outs?

Honestly, it's mostly a pile of crazy. I saw one or two that looked promising, but I'm not quite ready to go down that route. I'm amazed by how many people (especially in their 20s) are saying they want to find someone to spend the rest of their lives with. Like, MARRIAGE, capital letters. On craig's list online personals. That's really scary to me. I can get behind meeting someone for a drink and a movie or something, just hanging out and seeing if you like each other. But it's rarely anyone actually saying just that. And I guess some girls feel like they have to stand out so they try to be James Joyce or something with their personal ads. And that's all kinds of weird, definitely not helpful.
Dating, especially in the New York area, everyone's either always looking for the next best thing and ready to jump ship at the first opportunity or they are one of the "shipwreck people" as I like to call them: just lash yourself to whatever looks seaworthy and hold on for dear life, never, ever letting go no matter how hard the other party struggles. It's a jungle out there.
Sorry for the diatribe.

Shipwrecks, jungles, crazies ... sounds like Here There Be Monsters on the Isle of Dread ...
By the way James, I said I'd update Thorn's level change yesterday, but never ended up getting back to my computer or books. I don't have my copy of Tome of Magic at work, so it will probably need to wait for tonight (I plan to take another level of binder).

Sorry for the diatribe.
A lot of people say they intend to get married simply because they're tired of hooking up with people who just want to be footloose and fancy free. The footloose types often won't talk about the issue, or are turned off when they hear the word, so it keeps them away.
It's not necessary a psycho thing (although sometimes it certainly is), and it never put up a red flag for me. Now one girl told me she NEEDED to get married before she turned thirty (she was 29) and she turned out to be nuts.

Sorry it's taken me so long to level, but I think I have all the stuff now, just have to put it in. How are we doing HPs?
As for marraige, take it from someone who's done it twice: 'Only fools rush in where angels fear to tread.' My first marraige was my chivalrous nature insisting that I make good on a girlfriend's pregnancy. She turned out to be the psycho, the marraige lasted one year before she ran off with a party-boy. The next marraige eight years later was much more studied, and we have been together seven years without major incident. Take your time, get your own head straight before you invite someone else in.

Patrick, if you’re interested in the game I’ve started a recruitment thread here.

That's a wicked cool drawing man, I love it! I just wish there was a function where I could take a crop of his face for my alias, but ah well ...

Oh yeah, I ended up levelling up in Ranger rather than Binder, as I realised that I lent my Tome of Magic to one of my players and probably won't get it back for a couple of weeks. Oh well, next level.
I have Tome of Magic here if you want me to tell you what you get and change out the ranger level.

Nah, its ok, I've gone ahead as levelled as ranger now. I was going to advance in ranger either this level or next, that just made my mind up for me.

Guh, apologies for my absences. I have a lot of yardwork and a lot of housework and a lot of workwork.. I will try to update soon..
No problem. Work is getting hectic on my end as well and I have some more illustration projects coming up that I should focus on. So posts will be erratic during the spring/summer months ahead I believe.
Patrick Curtin
Sorry guys. For the second year in a row it's looking like late April/May are going to be really busy. I've got six illustrations ahead of me and a very busy season at my day job. So updates may be few and far between.
I hear ya. Work and my RL commitments are eating my time up as well. Do what you can :)
James Keegan
I hate to say it, guys, but I'm starting to think I may not be able to continue the game.
I've realized lately that I haven't devoted nearly enough time and energy to my illustration career and I'm nowhere near where I really want to be professionally. So I need to start cutting down on internet time and things like that. I haven't figured out yet if I'm just going to pull the plug or at least continue far enough that you can catch the guy that some of you have been chasing for practically a year. I'll keep you posted; hate doing it, but I need to get serious if I want this expensive art school education to be worth something.

RL trumps gaming every time James. I hope you have enough time to keep Issac in the Silver Rose game, I think you bring a lot of good to the thread there. It's good to have a fellow Planescape nut in the group. I'll use O.L.L.I as an NPC there if anyone ever gets to the Lady's Library ..
