This definately is not a good sign for the digital initiative. I saw this on the DI site:

Job Opportunity
12/13/2007 - Wizards of the Coast has an opening for a Lead Software Developer Engineer. To read the complete description and requirements for this position, head to the Hasbro site and follow the Careers link to Wizards of the Coast jobs... (More)

This is not very professional to boot. Who posts a position directly related to a product that is about to be released.

I didn't see anything in there to indicate that it was (or wasn't) for a position with the DI. Besides, as I understand it (and I could be wrong on this), the DI is going to be released with 4E, which is still 6 months away at least. And a *lot* of companies now days post job listings on their website. Even Paizo does it.

Liberty's Edge

OMG--they're hiring......a computer guy!!!!!

First they hire a computer guy, then Braniac 13 moves in and remodels Washington state into some kind of futuristic fortress . . . wait . . . does Braniac 13 still exist? Damn Infinite Crisis and the villain formerly known as Superboy Prime.

Wait, what was the point of this again?

Liberty's Edge

Ask that Bizarro guy. He's schmawt.

Liberty's Edge

Somewhere, a baby snowflake just melted.

The Digital Initiative is being developed mostly by third party vendor. This is the start of WotC bringing things in-house.

Like they did with Dragon & Dungeon? :/

At least now they're trying to hire experienced professionals that presumably understand the challenges of the job before them. I'll give them credit for that.
