Performing some thread necromancy here I have to say that the latest version of salamas Pathfinder sheet is one of the best I have used for any system. Its well organized and looks great. Character sheets that look like Microsoft Office documents always take me out of the game a little, and overly ornate sheets usually don't organize data well. This one avoids both those pitfalls with aplomb.
I give this sheet an A- for user interface design (there is block of tickboxes in the spellbook section that doesn't have a description and their use isn't immediately clear to me) hand an A for style.
Wow, thanks for your kind words and necromancy performance =). Spellbook was hard one to do, because it tries to serve all kind of spellcasters. Block of tickboxes is meant for spontaneous casters, so you can mark how many spells of different levels you can cast per day and then mark the little boxes to keep count how many you have already cast =).

Well actually there is. Here is my sheet with some javascript calculations (done by Matt Marovich)
There are a handful of Java errors on some skills:
getField ("DISABLE MISC MOD")has no properties4: Field:Calculate
getField ("DISGUSE MISC MOD")has no properties
4: Field:Calculate
getField ("INTIMIDATE RANKS")has no properties
3: Field:Calculate
getField ("PERFORM BLANK MANKS")has no properties

getField ("PERFORM 2 MANKS")has no properties

getField ("PERFORM 3 MANKS")has no properties
3: Field:Calculate
getField ("PROFESSION RANKS")has no properties
3: Field:Calculate
getField ("SLIEGHT RANKS")has no properties
3: Field:Calculate
--all of these look like minor typos, "Disguse", 2 spaces in Intimidate, Perform "Manks", "Slieght"
I love this character sheet, so hopefully these errors can be fixed so all of the skills work properly.

Hi.
Matt (the one who made calculations) corrected some errors in this file:Pathfinder RPG character sheet with some calculations
I haven't checked it out, so I don't know how it works now. If you try it out, you can share your experiences so I can forward them to mr. Marovich =).

This sheet is awesome!!!
I have only been using your sheet for quite some time now when I make Beta Characters, so this makes my life very easy, especially for the myriad PbPs I am in.

More issues:
1. The Stealth skill is being calculated off of Charisma rather than Dexterity.
2. You can't add a Misc. Modifier to Stealth without that same modifier being added to Use Magic Device.
Thanks for your work on this. You keep fixing it and I'll keep Beta testing it.
Actually it's not me who's fixing it. I made the sheet, but this other guy (Matt Marovich) makes the calculations. Anyway, here's the corrected sheet:

Well, here's my take on it:
Pathfinder Character SheetPathfinder logo used without permission, etc., etc.
Note that this sheet has separate pages for Arcane, Divine, and Spontaneous spellcasting, so most people won't have to print out the whole sheet, just the relevant pages. I think I got rid of all the houserules before I put this one up; if I missed any, please let me know ;)
If anyone has any suggestions, or would like a custom version of this sheet, I'll be happy to oblige! Just post here, and I'll see what I can come up with.
They look great but I noticed one mistake I've found. Use Rope? :)

As I play online, I exclusively use web-based online sheets, just so everyone can access it whenever and wherever. Specifically the 3EProfiler system, as it's the best I've seen. Of course, the lack of PFRPG sheets always got on my nerves...
So I got inspired and whipped up my own. Or more specifically, edited the 3.5 sheet to my liking. :) The main site is here, while an example is here. Feel free to make an account and use it as you will, I've got enough bandwidth. :) There's also 3.5e and 4e sheets that came with the kit.
Still need to tweak things a little here and there, but basically, here's the differences:
- XP calculation set up to register the amount of XP needed for the next level per the 'fast' track of PFRPG depending on what you put in the current XP section. I'm still considering how to code it so you can pick between the three speeds, though. It's hard as there's no true formula for XP (well, I've seen the one on the boards, but I don't really understand what it means...)
- Correct skill table, including class skills etc all checked for the core classes at a click of a button. It also won't count your cross-class skills as 2 ranks anymore. However, I can't figure out a way to automatically add in your trained bonus (yet), so that has to be added manually in the misc column.
- CMB calculation!
- Area to slot in your favoured class. :)
- Some links pointing to the pfogc site. All the skills and core feats do so, as well as some conditions and some class features, but I gave up changing links when I saw the length of the spell list. I'll do it... eventually...
I hope someone finds use in this, though at least I and my players did. Please tell me if you notice any bugs or if you can think of something I should add in or change.

OMG, this is so Freakin' great. I have needed a PF sheet for a while.
Q:Do you mind if i send this to a website that i rule my online games out of? We use the tangled web, and it would be great to have a Pf sheet we could all use.
By the way. way to stick with it over an intire year! Hope you make the final tweaks when the official PF comes out.

Go ahead! That's why I've linked it here. (I also used TTW until my patience ran out, haha.) Just please tell me if you notice any oddities in the coding or can think of something for me to add. :)
And yes, I'll definitely update it in August, as soon as I get my hands on the full ruleset.

Hey there Salama, just thought I'd give my gratitude to you for making such a gorgeous sheet - it's proven an absolute godsend, and I love the aesthetic. :)
While I hate to request Yet Another Variant Sheet, I've been keeping to the elderly model (Entry feilds but no autocalc - I'll explain why in a moment), but have one or two wee niggles with it.
The main one is that the entry boxes for the non-boxed stats (For example, the lines where you write down the math for skill bonuses, and attack bonuses etc) tend to be undersized compared to the supposed amount of space present - is it possible to widen them as far as they'll go and still fit? Also in the skill section I notice that the boxed totals don't actually go all the way to the edge of the box.
As an example, I'm currently running a Halfling Druid who has Dinosaur Wrangler in a Pathfinder Eberron campaign. So he has his normal skill bonus (+6 or so at these levels), and then +4 towards his animal companion, and +4 again towards dinos (Which his animal companion just happens to be...
It'd be nice to be able to write down, say, (4+4) in the Misc section to represent two seperate, conditional bonuses... and then 6/14 in the skill box to know the base number, and then the modified one.
Ditto Perception, where he tends to sit at +8, but then has +2... to sound checks only. So I'd like to be able to write 8+2 or 8/10 or the like, but I find the boxes start clipping long before I technically run out of space on the sheet... A slightly smaller font would probably help, but so would having boxes as wide as the lines beneath them to start with. ;)
Just a thought; I apologise if such a thing would be a fiddle.
(I also tend to find that I run out of Craft skills long before I run out of Perform skills - plenty of characters take, say, Armorsmithy and Weaponsmithy, but even most Bards only take the one Perform... but that may be a personal preference more than anything.)
A final query: Just out of curiosity, is it possible for the portrait spot to accept a digital image? I've no idea what PDFs are capable of, but it'd be a nifty perk to scan once, print often. ;)

Hi! Thanks for your kind words!
Maximizing the boxes has been on my to do list for a long time, yet I haven't found time for it. When I find time though, I could see how it looks if I make the boxes to autofit font size.
Craft and perform are a little problematic because I ran out of space in the sheet. Perform however is more important because in Pathfinder RPG bards need many different performs to qualify for their class abilities. And very few characters spend their skill points in more than one craft. I know some of them do, but there just wasn't enough space for it. I'll make sure to make room for another craft skill in my next sheet when the final rules are finished.
The sheet already accepts digital image in portrait box just by clicking it. Unfortunately only Adobe Acrobat professional supports this feature. Great thing is, that Acrobat reader 9 allows you to paste an image to pdf, just use any program that lets you select an image and copy it.

Ah! I hadn't reaised bards were required to take multiple Perform skills. I must admit this feels a little odd, but I shan't complain.
Mostly it was the party Artificer that was hurting... ;) I get the feeling this is a problem no matter how many skills you list for each, though. There's always characters out there that will have lots, eh? Almost makes you wish you could have a Generic skill box at the bottom row or something.
Otherwise, thanks! I'm really rather fond of the sheet and how it looks. And knowing I can past an image is just too cool. *cackle*

Yea I know, the new rules for bard really drain their skillpoints. Actually few blank skill boxes could be the right solution, I don't like my other characters to have three spaces for performs with no use. Maybe just one box for craft, one for perform and then try to fit three empty boxes in the bottom.
Pasting an image to pdf is cool enough, but I still don't get it why Adobe didn't make new version of Reader support javascript for importing an image. It's quite strange actually, 'cause if I had Adobe Livecycle, it would be possible to make it work in Reader too...

Bonus points: It works for custom skills (Like folks who chose to keep Concentration around again) too, and folks that want several Professions... not that I'm sure why, but it's nice that you can, right? Generally speaking, I'm a big fan of letting people type in as many blank spots as possible, because sooner or later there'll be someone out there who'll appreciate it. (For example, I'm actualy using the Powers list as my spell list for the moment - saves me printing an extra page for the first 7 or 8 levels or so. And the power points row fits the Action Point tally so very nicely to boot...)
As for the bards, I'd have always favored their getting a special class ability to just apply a single set of Perform skills to multiple Perform uses - so they can take Perform(Singing) and then have Perform(Piana) thrown in 'for free', if you would... but that's a matter for another day. And, uh, probably another forum.

Hey Salama. Loving this sheet, but I've noticed a few issues:
Armor Check Penalty seems to be adding instead of subtracting. It says '-1' up above, but gives all Str/Dex skills a +1 instead of a -1.
Size does not change the load capacity or add Size mods to AC/CMB.
CMB does not change its BAB slot based on the number in BAB.
I'll throw up more issues as I find them. :)

Hey Salama. I wonder if you could contact Matt Marovich for me. I made a fillable pdf using his javascript to calculate ac totals and ability modifiers based on ability scores. Ive only given them out to my small group but would like permission to post my sheet here.
It uses the character sheet found in the beta pathfinder rulebook downloaded from this site as a base. Please let me know as I really like the look of the character sheet and I think other people would like it made fillable as well!

Hey Salama,
Great sheet. Really awesome. Is there a reason why when you put a temporary score in the ability scores, that the temporary ability modifiers don't adjust in things like the skills, saves, etc?
Thanks.
Hi Ludzien,
Thank you! I'm not sure because it's not me who made the calculations. But if it was me, I'm not sure if my javascript skills would be good enough to make that kind of calculations. Basically javascript tells skills, saves etc. to take value from one box, I'm not sure how to make it take value from another box if value is given there...

So this character sheet doesn't have as many features as Salama's but I rather enjoy it as it uses the character sheets found in the beta book as a base and if needed can be printed out onto one sheet of paper front and back.
I'm hosting on mediafire for now. If anyone would like another mirror from a place like rapidshare thats fine ill do that just ask but unfortunately i don't have a website of my own to host this on. Feel free to put up your own mirrors of it if you like.

The section for Class features needs to be conslidated and given a page to itself. Our paladin is 9th level and he has run out of room for his class features/special abilities. And the only other complaint comes from the spellcaster types, make the spell book bigger. Other than that, they love the sheet.

Hi! Hm, a whole page for just class features seems a lot to me. It would make my already four pages long sheet five pages long, and that's not something I'm not willing to do. I'll keep this in mind though when designing new sheet based on the final rules and try to fit in more space for class features. I actually never noticed that paladin gets so many features, I count 17 boxes for class features in the sheet...
The spellbook issue is a lot easier to fix. I already have extra page ready just for spells, you can find it here: PFRPG_Beta Spell sheet
Sanakht Inaros PFS |
I noticed that you have class features in two different areas, so maybe consolidating that would help. Maybe putting the skills, feats, special abilities and class features on the second page, and move the armor, XP, and class stuff to the first page. Languages I would throw in with skills.
I wouldn't mind a 5 or 6 page character sheet ala Warhammer Character Folio or the Arcanis Folio.

I've been thinking about making another sheet with more pages, but my main sheet will be this one. Skills will always stay on the first page in my sheet. I have this design philosophy, that I want all the things on first page that are used most in game table. Armor section is useless in my opinion for example, because it just duplicates information found elsewhere. XP is also something that most groups add only once in a session, but you'll need skills section very often. That is why I have Attributes, saves, combat and skills on the first page. Earlier I had even characters name and other stuff on the second page, but I was told that when you have multiple characters, it's harder to find the right sheet. You're right about consolidating the class features. The first section for class features is on the second page because then you can print only two pages of the sheet for more simpler characters. If you need to, you can print the other two pages and have more room for stuff. But you're absolutely right, it's silly to have two sections for class features, I will address this in my final sheet.
I think I'll make my final sheet at least 5 pages, but I'll try to design it so people can print only the pages they need for their character. So the main philosophy will be that all basic information will be found on two first pages. Of course spellcasters will always need more pages, but I think all are okay with that.
Thank you for your comments, I'll try to make more space in my next sheet, but unfortunately I don't think I'm going to update it before final rules are released. Unless I find myself in a situation with too much time in my hands =)

Just use your favorite document writer. You can find plug-ins or standalone programs to convert one file into a pdf.
Some of the big players use Adobe InDesign, but it's expensive.

A possible suggestion that I like is instead of listing several weapons slots to list a Standard attack slot and a couple of slots for Full Attack. And one for Ranged.
I may be alone in this though. My characters never commonly changed weapons, especially as a fighter where invested feats tend to require specific weapons.
Essentially it copies the format of NPC stat blocks. The first slot is your standard attack, all worked up and ready to go with your single attack. The first full attack then has your multiple attack scores with room for notes. An extra slot is listed for off-hand weapons.
The fourth and last slot is specifically listed for ranged attacks. Okay, not seriously different at all and a normal sheet can be used to achieve the same effect, I suppose. But just thought maybe having them listed as Standard Attack, Full Attack, Off Hand Attack, and Ranged Attack just made sense.
