With each adventure path we as a player group have always liked the idea that it takes us from 1st to 20th, I was very disappointed that this one is scheduled to stop around 16 or so. Does anyone have similar thoughts are about the adventure paths? Or is my gaming group alone of this one?
I would like to figure out how to stretch it along and increase the power, of the encounters so the end of the adventure path is 20th level. If any of you guys have suggestions please let me know thanks in advance.

I'm right on the fence with this one.
1) PRO: I'm glad it will end with 15 levels because then I get to be a player for the next AP.
Rebuttle: If all AP's will be six issues long, anyway, and subsequent AP's intend to vary a little, then having to "wait" to switch from being DM and player won't matter if real time remains identical.
2) CON: Having to miss out on those special abilities.
Rebuttle: The sweet spot goes away past 15th level.
3) PRO: When 4th ed comes out, it proclaims to not only make every level a sweet spot, but that it extends the levels to 30th.
Rebuttle: That's the claim, but that's not until after March.

I'm planning on using the high-level 16-20 material in Monte Cook's Ptolus stuff. I'll make it a different plot arc, but one that will be hinted at; I have two planetouched that need accounting for and I want to make use of the major dungeons in the book while converting to house rules is easier than converting to 4E.

~grins~ Sweet idea. I was thinking about getting the Ptolus book. Is it worth buying? (~thinks about how many more books I can add to my house before the fire marshal cracks down on me~)

Without a doubt. 3 books, plus a map booklet. The first book is nothing but flavor, so those who are moving over to 4E can still use it. There are some good thread about it over on EN World, even some playtest notes from the author if you want to know some of the sordid details. It will not disappoint.
As for the price tag, you can get it cheaper on amazon if you're so inclined.
Here's a link to the thread - SPOILERS WITHIN.

The new 15-level cap for the RotRL AP was met with great enthusiasm from my players, that don't like high level play (a few adventures now-and-then are OK, but more for a one-shot type of gaming than for a full blown AP).
So I'm quite happy too with this structure, though I'm looking forward for some GameMastery high level adventures (*grin* *wink*).

Seconded. Of the top of my head, I can't think of a better product I've bought for 3rd/3.5 edition. The price tag was high, and some of the stat blocks have minor issues, but this is a brilliantly done campaign setting.

Sweet. I'll happily retro-fit'em for my house-rules heavy 3.5 game.
As a side note, is this a quasi-official statement that Paizo will switch to 4e (if this has already been said, sorry, but I lagged behind a lot of the 4e threads)?

You guys should check out Green Ronin's podcast link on the Pathfinder blog and listen to Erik Mona's reasons behind not bringing the adventure path up to level 20, he offers some interesting insights as to why the decision was made to bring the path to a conclusion at level 15. Something worth checking out.
