Well, I promise that I will not panic. However that is easy for me since I did not send anything in.

Yeah, but Heathy sent one in with your name on it.

Actually, I seem to recall Tim or Nick saying Macator.

Man, with as many Coronas as we had...it could've been me.

I heard that story, but I don't recall the protagonist.

Also, our email is down and our messageboards are currently a bit wonky, so don't panic about lack of communication from us. Well... don't panic yet...

How do we know this is the real you?

Personally, I think impersonating Paizo staff should be a tar-n-feathering offense...

So... looks like I am going to need to get a custom avatar after all... damn you Rambling Scribe.

At any rate...

We have made our selections, but due to our currently crippled email, I will not be able to send out any notifications until it is fixed.

Stay tuned everyone.

Nah. You can just ban everyone else from using Belkar. ;-)

I heard he farms the work out to little Guatemalan kids.

The lack of (GameMastery Brand Manager) is what gave it away for me...

Here, I've made it a little more obvious.

It's as though fate itself were conspiring against the contestants. This is all some cruel joke, isn't it? Gary is laughing his ass off right now...

I was being facetious. I would be upset too. I was just saying that you would be laughing if this was all part of your master plan to make the contestants suffer more.

Suffer? I am starting to think this is part of the vetting. Think about it...someone is being asked to produce a 22K word adventure under a tight, strict timeline. This is no small endeavor. Paizo is merely walking the walk: who worked incredible hours yesterday to "git r done"?

How well do you handle pressure?

Gary, you're getting a raise for all your efforts. And why don't you take the Paizo trans am for a spin out to my summer home in lovely Spokane and relax for a while.

Dude, these fake staff aliases have got to stop before somebody gets hurt... Gary's going to be very sad when he gets to the garage and realizes that the "Paizo trans am" is actually the mail cart, and the "summer home in Spokane" is a fort in the warehouse built out of Pathfinder boxes. : P

~reads my e-mail~

Dear Kevin,

You submission of the storyline about how a were-woof finds out that a Silver Dragon is the bad guy and then proceeds to defeat said dragon is too good to be true. We accept your proposal and will be expecting you to have this new module done ASAP.

Thank you,

Paizo staff

~grumbles~ That damn were-poodle is going to get it! I swear! Why would I write about a were-mutt beating a Dragon. ~glares at the room~ Besides, that is so unlikely to be in the realm of fantasy!

I think the anticipation is going to give me an aneurysm.

I hope the e-mail situation gets fixed soon, as I'm of course curious to know the results, but also to read the proposals from people that didn't make the top 10.

There could be a veritable gold mine of ideas to use in my own games.

Paizo's email has been fixed for some time now.

This takes more than just pushing a button to make happen. ;)

Note, all bribes sent in are now property of Paizo and are not subject to refund.

~grins~ This conversation reminds me of an old MTV commercial where you see stacks and stacks of new music sent in my promenant artists like Madonna, Bruce Springsten, and others. As one of the people picks up a recording by some no name artist, it has a gold rolex on it. The MTV guy says, "Let's play this guys song next."

I suspect that this involves the editors on the team sitting down and actually emailing each writer *individually* -- with 150 people to email, that's likely to take some time.
