Okay, now that Gninja Master Mike got first peeks at it, here it is for everybody else:

To those who have submitted NPC art to this thread:

Would any of you have objection to these appearing on the Pathfinder Wiki for the associated character's bio page? Since we can't use the Paizo art in most cases, these are very useful, and of very high quality to boot!

Liberty's Edge

I'm no artist, but I found a cool program called Inkscape and a tutorial on doing Order of the Stick style characters with it, and started a campaign comic that details the adventures of my players (in my Pathfinder play-test campaign). Mostly I use it as a place to write down all the expository bits they tend to forget between sessions. It's up to 16 pages after two sessions!

Anyways, I made a single frame image that shows the whole party:

The Intrepid Explorers of Whiterock -- OOTS Style!

I do not have a problem, just linky back to my DeviantArt site. :)

Gailbraithe, those are quite cool! Do you have a linky back to your comics?

Thanks! And nope, but I could put them up somewhere.

I remember people saying they wanted Nualia imagery. I didn't draw this pic, and it's (obviously) not meant to be Pathfinder fan art.. but I figured I'd link to it anyway: http://el-grimlock.deviantart.com/art/hechicera-17679424

I saw it and thought, "Hmm.. that could be a cool Nualia." :)

Your art Rocks the Hizzy. I wish i could get you to draw pic of my Gnome.

Well, since we're posting fan art...I hope pictures of my characters in a couple Pathfinder games is cool.

First a character I run once / month at a Rise of the Runelords meetup game, Shevalya the Bard (soon to be paladin):

For our Pathfinder RPG playtest I'm playing a modified character a Paladin of Shelyn (eventually going bard...), Wryll:

DM G:

I've been trying to work on my drawing skills in Photoshop using my Wacom tablet. What sort of brush/pressure settings do You use for the inking style that You've achieved?

Color me impressed!

Those are really nice Jess!!! You got some real talent there! Not often you see pics of Halflings either!

Ooh thats cool!! I may pinch the idea and have that big hand actually be a klar! You know the spiked shield type thing in the players guide? Stick it on a female Shoanti barbarian and give the description to the players a few days after they kill Nuilia that some woman with a deformed hand is attacking caravans or something on the north road. That'll freak them out thinking that Niullia survived hehe

Luckily, it's company policy that employees browse the boards themselves, so I imagine most will find it in due time.

Great work, Lilith. I can't wait to see the next fan service.

Yeah, seriously. My first thought was "OMG hot!", second was "I'm totally going to get in trouble for looking at this at work," and third was "wait... this is my job!" So thanks for that. :)

I particularly like the t-shirt on the "company colors" one - you totally nailed it.

You're welcome! :D

While not technically Pathfinder art, I recently commissioned a drawing for my Pathfinder character. The miniature I use for the character is the Seoni miniature, so I sent photos of the miniature to the artist.

So the portrait is based on a miniature which is based on a portrait of Seoni. See how many differences you can spot. :)

How many of those Fan-Services will there be?

If you run out of ideas, do one that shows what happens at night in the first four iconics camp (Dr. F and yours truly would be interested to know what you think goes on there, too) ;-)

James said three pages ago that PF1 did not quite capture the style of Golarion. Ironic that its up for Enie, Best Art nomination.

Well... we didn't submit it for the Art category... we submitted Pathfinder 8 for that category, I suspect, but they ENnies reorganized things after they went through whatever process things go through and that's where it ended up. I'm still stoked for the nomination of course... but frustrated that the issue with the most rushed and the least-representative artwork got in there. :(

I really like #8. Too bad Scarwall didn't come out in time. Could it be nominated next year?

Skinsaw though, I'm surprised it wasn't nominated, since its the one that I can't find on shelves anywhere and in a 2nd printing.

Scarwall could indeed be nominated next year.

And #2 didn't get any nominations because we're sold out, and in order for something to be considered for nomination, the company has to send several copies to the judges for review or something like that. We didn't have the copies to send, therefore no nominations.

Pathfinder's kind of a weird creature, anyway. Each one's a separate product, but they're not really, since they're all interconnected.

(shrug) We'll see how it all rattles out this Gen Con though, I guess.

Since we are posting fanservice stuff...one of my favorites...

From the video game series of RPGs Suikoden

I give you....

Jeane

Seoni does have competition...and the scantily clad girl in W3 as well!

Silver Crusade

Quick question: What should Kyra's hair look like?

Compliments to Lilith on the Seoni art !! :O

I like the other too... Someone managed to find an outfit less practical than Seoni's. Maybe there is an succubus bloodline we haven't heard of yet and that's where these 2 get their power from.

:O

Are female dwarves in golarion beardless? I know I have seen some pics of female beardless dwarves that looked okay. Not miss multiverse, but not nearly bad enough to need to sew the eyes shut or anything.

Dennis da Ogre...

For whatever reason, the Sorceress/Wizardess will always live on as the most scantily/impractically clad kind of female character, with the rare female warrior (especially if she is a gladiator) who comes close.

As to the power they draw...that pic was of Jeane from Suikoden IV, and her power, aside from scarily strong attack magics was the Beguiler Rune. Think short duration Dominate Monster. Oh and of course regular and constant distraction to the rest of the party is a power as well.

I don't think we've settled on an answer for that yet, actually, which is why we haven't illustrated a female dwarf yet. Personally, when the time comes for us to decide, I'll be pushing for non-bearded female dwarves.

Be safe, and say that female dwarves have a fine peach fuzz on their faces. Bearded, yet subtle.

Yes. That was the one thing that 4E races preview and I actually fully agreed on.

Not that this was new to 4e. 3e dwarfettes already were beardless.

I know, it's just good to have it set in stone to prevent possible backsliding.

No offense to Sgt. Littlebottom, but no. Just....no.

So, about Kyra's hair? (although I think I've found a way around it that I like better visually)

Well I am ambivalent about beards on Dwarf chicks, I can see it fall either way and what the art looks like doesn't generally bother me one way or the other.

However... The Dwarf artwork for 4e is awful... absolutely horrid. I think the artists did a fine job but I can't stand the weapons that look like something I cranked out of Autocad 10 years ago. In fact I think 80% of the weapons in 4e are stupid. Because elfs have to have gay looking weapons, dwarves are incapable of making curves (and I swear one had a transformer logo on him), teiflings are apparently incapable of forging weapons with straight lines... Ugh... But the dwarves got the big rip off as far as I'm concerned.

Thank all the gods of Golarion for that! (Pushing for non-bearded female dwarves that is.)

Where did this idiotic idea of a bearded fem Dwarf anyway? and secondly why did it last soooooo Long?

I loved the transformers movie... just didn't think it worked on a dwarf fighter.

Did the idea ever really turn up pre-Pratchett? I've only ever associated bearded female dwarves with Discworld in my head...
