While I'm sure the transition option to Pathfinder will be decent, I'm still dismayed over the cancellation of Dragon & Dungeon. I've been playing D&D since 1979 with the same group of guys from college and without the idea-generating-solution-oriented-articles, stories and adventurers, what's a DM and PC suppose to do?
I would think the demographic that I am in (with many others) certainly could be mined for a few more bucks a month to keep the mags going?
Maybe this is truly a generational thinks and the current (younger)minds don't care if they no longer have the physical pages to flip through by whilst reclining? I'm from the tactile generation and will stay that way and spend my money that way too. That's not a threat but a reality.
I guess I've had my say...but in case my points were a bit too subtle: BRING BACK THE REAL THING!!!
By the way, thanks to all the great artists, cartoonists, writers, cartographers and editors over the years!!! Great work all!

Bob,
You understand that Paizo itself had nothing to do with the cancellation, right? Wizards of the Coast pulled the license that allowed them to produce the magazine in favor of starting their 'online initiative.' Pathfinder is designed to continue the spirit of Dungeon and Dragon magazine by providing scores of new monsters, new adventures, and new stories to be told, all under the auspices of the OGL. Personally, I think it's going to be incredible. Wait until the first issue comes out in August and pick up a copy at your local gaming store. If you're not suitably impressed, don't buy any more issues. I somehow feel that this will not be the case, however. It never hurts to try.

...or "un"natural conclusion, as the case may be...

To be fair, I'd say he is going to give it a chance at least once. He does have a charter subscription.

Ok...It's clear I need to send my feedback to WOTC (I didn't know the root cause), some of these other posts don't deserve a response. Yes, I'm willing to try the new mag out as I've demonstrated.

Welcome to the boards Bob. I'd take some of the comments made earlier in this thread with a grain of salt. A lot of the people on the boards have seen people come here and rag on Paizo, thinking that they were the ones at fault so they can be a little defensive.
I'm glad that you've decided to give Pathfinder a go. It will be interesting to see how everything goes.
