It's highly unlikely we've met tho - I've been playing with the same group of friends for the last... ummm... ten years or so, and I've never been to a DND convention.
Just thought...sometimes there are funny incidents, I am rather from the eastern part of Franconia, near Bayreuth...although I am living in Munich now. Have fun!

I am in Almada, Portugal.
I have received Dragon 358 last week. I can not pinpoint the day it arrived because I was enjoying my vacations :)
I noticed that the envelope did not look like is usually does but I did not check if my name was missing because it had not crossed my mind...
Still no signs of Dungeon 149... (or 150 or Dragon 358 and 359)

Seriously, how stupid do you have to be to send out all your envelopes without names without noticing?
I'm amazed that everytime I figured it can't get any worse, TPFG managed to make themselves look even more like total idiots and amateurs.
It's comforting to know that you can always count on TPFG to make a bad situation worse.
| Ferrety |
Anyway, it's good to see that's someone in France has received it, but with the no name problem, I don't have really any hope. Will check again tomorrow, but today, I still didn't get it.
Well, I am luckier, as my mail is redirected by my name, so I know that I won't be getting my "fix". Err, on second thought, that does not sound so lucky...
| Belfur |
Just a quick question, the envelope was otherwise identical to the previous ones? Save for the missing name.
Ive got a few saved, so i just might head over to the post office with one of the old ones and check out the situation...
Same as for Dragon 358, but different from the ones used for Dungeon 148 and before. They print a return adress on it now however and the printing is black not red.

Well, if TPFG did indeed deliver my copy of Dungeon 149 without my name on the envelope, they will get it back in a few days, according to the Deutsche Post customer service. If there are several apartments in a house (which is the case), then there is no possibility to get the mag.
Dear paizoans, if you get any feedback from TPFG that they delivered # 149 via mail, please ask them to send it again _with_ the name on it if they recieve the resent envelope - if it is in any shape to be sent yet again.
By now, I´m really unnerved by TPFGs incompetence...

Okay, a friend of mine living in the same city (actually only like 200 yards away) has got his Dungeon 149 on Friday/Saturday - I still do not have mine.
As I already feared, they weren't able to deliver it because of the missing name.
When are we finally going to get our magazine?
What is Paizo going to do about this?
A comment from Paizo is way overdue.
Status:
Dungeon 149 - not arrived yet (STILL NOT! Others in city have it since last week)
Dragon 358 - arrived on 22/08/2007.
Dungeon 150 - not arrived yet
Dragon 359 - not arrived yet

I don't want to criticise anyone at Paizo, but I don't have any idea how the remaining three issues of Dragon and Dungeon are to reach me.
1. As of today (and as severally mentioned above) I don't live any more in Germany but in Austria. I was able to change my PF and GMM shipping address, but not the Dragon/ Dungeon shipping address.
2. I ordered a "Nachsendeantrag" which is supposed to deliver any mail addressed to my old address to my parents. The downside is:
a) It only works for mail delivered by German Post ("Deutsche Post"). I don't know which post company delivers Dungeon/ Dragon in Germany, though.
b) *If* all "european" issues of Dungeon #149 were sent without recipient name on the enveloppe, there is absolutely no chance that Dungeon #149 reaches me.
Why? Standard procedure by post delivery staff in Germany is to return post to sender if the recipient is not clearly identifyable (which can be assumed in a flat with about 30 apartments).
It would be very kind if someone from Paizo could reply to this mail.
As mentioned above: No criticism intended, just a sincere interest in receiving the remaining Dungeon and Dragon issues of my subscription.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Günther

That's pretty much how it works here in Sweden as well. If there's no way to identify the recipient from the envelope they have the right to open it to try to figure out the recipient from the content. If they are unsuccessful with that they return it to the sender.

Hello everyone:
I have an email in to TPFG to find out why the magazines were shipped out without a name on them. That is just crazy and I need to hear from them how something like this could have happened. I expect TPFG will reship those issues out on their own dime. I will let you know when I have more information.

Thanks for the update. It's good to hear something at least, even if it's bad news.
Sadly, I'm afraid "reship those issues out on their own dime" will also mean "on their own TIME" - meaning it will take at least a few weeks again:
1-2 weeks until they get them back
1-2 weeks until they have them sent out again
1-2 weeks until they reach us
So currently, I expect it to take anywhere between 3-6 weeks until I finally get my magazine.
That is, IF - and that's a very big IF - they both get the magazine back and they have the money to send it to me again. Both of which I seriously doubt after the events of the last weeks.
What will Paizo do to ensure that TPFG will actually get the missing magazines to us? Will we have to wait another 2 months - not knowing if the magazine will actually ever arrive at all?

Heya, have you tried to negotiate with wizards regarding the pdf:s? (pdfs for the magazines in the meantime)
Yes i know what the contract says, or what vic(?) wrote anyway...However, there is appears to be a significant enough separation between the situation and the intent of said stipulation. (no pdfs to be sold for x months after publication -right?)
Note, the pdfs are not going for sale, but to customers who ordered the paper magazine, and wont go to sale for the relevant period.
Also a chance for wizards to gain some brownie points.. imagine, free goodwill!! ;)
All in the name of continued good partnerships ...
Oh and those pdfs will be ready made when they take over, so its a added bonus of labor done for them that you wouldn't have had to do.

Indeed. I am located in Germany and live in an apartment, haven't received Dungeon 149 yet. I am trying to be patient, but I couldn't agree more with the above post.
The only acceptable solution at this point is for Paizo to re-send the magazines directly to those European subscribers who, like me, haven't yet received their issues of Dungeon or Dragon. Anything less would be very, very disappointing.

Lisa, thanks for the update. It is indeed crazy to sent out the mags with incomplete addresses. How very incompetent do you have to handle your database for something like this to happen??? No even semi-professional company should have happen things like this.
I´m happy that Pathfinder and GameMastery are sent directly from paizo - the paizoans are much more reliable, and if something gets screwed up (and this does happen, no matter how hard you try), they take the blame for it, explain the situation and try to fix it ASAP.

Still no 150/359 here in Cambridge.
Have TPFG made any sort of 100% concrete commitment yet on when/if they'll actually be sending these out - as this is now becoming absolutely ridiculous.
No 100% concrete commitment yet. I am working on it. They have the magazines. They have my money for shipping them. They WILL ship them out if I have to go over personally and stand over their shoulder and MAKE them ship them out.

No Dungeon Nr 149 here ether.
Has anbody from TPFG ever send an anwer? Paizo allways tells us that they send mails to TPFG but nothing of what they answer !! The least thing is that TPFG can give some info on the progess of shipping the mags. How many percent have allready been shipped? When do they expect to have the final isssues shipped? From the info from various posts here, I guess they send out some mags on a very erratic patern all over Europe, more to cover up then truly doing there work.
I know that TPFG is to blame for this dissaster, but Paizos infos in this matter have been VERY sparse. Simply said "Be patient - we have mailed them - you will get your mags"!
Is there a deadline for when you agree that TPFG is unwilling or unable (or both) to send us the magazines we payed for?

If you follow this thread from the beginning, you can see that TPFG claimed several times already, that the magazines were shipped...so see what this would be worth. I guess they sent out Dragon 358 as it reached most subscribers, and sent out 149, which will not reach very many subscribers as they forgot to put on the name on top of the adress. Some guy from Switzerland said he received Dungeon 150, so maybe they will start to appear across Europe soon, hopefully (although I would have guessed this would happen first in the UK, but on the other hand its Switzerland...I guess everything is quicker and better there ;-).

I agree that this is utterly ridiculous. We have been more than patient with this situation but no one at Paizo has yet answered the question of how long we are expected to wait. We have all paid up front for products we are simply being told to wait and wait and wait for.
As I've asked before, at what point will Paizo offer its unfailingly loyal customers replacement issues, regardless of what money TPFG are holding? You are currently holding my money and have not delivered the products I have paid for. Could someone please tell me when I can realistically expect them?
Thanks

That's it! That's what I found different about the envelope ! A return adress !
Probably I'm being paranoid, but is it possible that the return adresses and the missing names in the recipient adress are more than just coincidences?...
!?!

Absolutely not - you're not the only one. Let's see what happened so far:
- Missing magazine - they claim the lost a "bag of envelopes".
- Suddenly they print return-addresses on their envelopes - this starts JUST after they "lost" a bag full of envelopes.
- They suddenly have problems with money, phone, their credit card system
- Now envelopes without names appear
Sorry, this is all TOO MUCH... This screams LIES & SCAM.

I am slowly starting to get mad,
148 was 8 weeks late then NO MAGAZINE #149 and #150. I still havent got them... And I wonder wat PAIZO will be doing. I have a feeling that they keep blaiming the postal services, and wait and pray...
I would like some answers on when/ or IF I can expect my magazines...
If not let me know then maybe i can try and buy them retail here in holland.

Hi Lisa,
as I said in my previous post, I have never received Dungeon 149. I am located in Germany, and live in an apartment, so there's no chance I'll ever get it now, and I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation. What can Paizo do to ensure we all get what we paid for?
Thanks.

No Dungeon #150 or Dragon #359 here in UK again today.
I'd like to echo the posters above who have asked when the cut-off point comes? At what point will Paizo decide that enough is enough, that TPFG have failed to meet their commitments in reasonable time, and send us the magazines that we have paid for?
I completely understand the bind that Paizo are in. TPFG have been not only unprofessional, but outright dishonest and this places Paizo in a difficult position. At the end of the day, however, I placed my order with Paizo and not with TPFG, and I am beginning to be of the opinion that Paizo need to bite the bullet and send us our magazines, irrespective of TPFG.
For now, though, I'd just like to ask how long we are expected to wait. When is the cut-off point for Paizo beyond which you are not willing to wait on TPFG's assurances any longer?
