I applied for a job, they called and the manager wants me to interview for a position I wouldn't have applied for. It's great that someone who doesn't know me thinks that I can do something I don't think I can do. Now just to nail the interview, and believe that I can do the job.
Definitely good luck! Sometimes you'll find out you can do things you didn't think you could. Don't sell yourself short!

It seems that a lot of people sell themselves short. Take confidence in their confidence of you. Grats!

My mom happened to be in the area when I was at work yesterday and we went out for lunch at a local japanese restaurant. Fun was had by all.

Thanks Wintergreen, MaxBarton and Emperor7 for the well wishes :) The interview went well, I'll know later this week if I made the final round or not.

Sadly, no job for me. Oh well, I just got to keep on keeping on.

Sorry to hear that. We just have to keep on applying and the right one will come up eventually. Hope you got good feedback from the interview.

1. I'm definitely going to PaizoCon this year.
2. I've got a good job lined up for at least June through August.
3. I'm almost certainly going to be moving out of my mother's house PERMANENTLY.
4. My girlfriend and I celebrated out two-year anniversary a month ago.
5. I found a new mental health center, and they FINALLY figured out what's wrong with me.
6. I've been in correspondence with one of my favorite writers, and am attending a lecture by him tomorrow afternoon.
7. I'm finally getting some f@#&ing respect.

Spoke too soon. #3, #5, and #7 are looking pretty grim right now.

The missus brought my boy to work yesterday for a visit, so I got to introduce him around. Secretaries loved him. Dude is a chick magnet.

Still stumping me. The only other movie that comes to mind is The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

Turns out, not only are we picking up my Kingmaker game again this Saturday, but we're also going to have a cook-out afterwards. So, the wife and spawnlet are coming with me that morning, and going to hang with my buddy's wife and kids while we game.

And I'll hopefully get to do another Flagons and Dragons pdocast, finally!

Love the Flagons and Dragons podcast - The Gamma world game is very funny.

Being enguaged to a wonderful, beautiful woman, and finally being able to tell people about it!

For those following my life closely:
Yes, this comes 3 months after child #3 was born; 9 years after we got together, and the wedding will be somewhere around out 10th Anniversary.

Also, Monkey feet arrived today, and I love them!

Being enrolled in my last class before my bachelor's degree is finished.

Thinking about finishing my B.A. this Fall. Don't like the school, so should I go for it or not.

My 2cp. Yes, but you might want to look at other schools. Took me a long time to finish my degree. I felt a genuine sense of accomplishment when I got it.

I'm looking into some other classes too, but it and our junior college are the only two institutions around. Still I won't mind finishing my BA in General Studies or Interdisciplinary studies.

It's always amazing when you find something like this on Youtube. Made my day.

Epic win.

Well, Doomsday and Judgement are (acording to at least one source) scheduled to shortly hit. In the event that that does happen, I just wanted to say, before the apocalypse arrives, that it's been an honour to know most of you whose posts I've read on these boards, and I would have liked to have been a person of stronger temperament and great ability better able to positively contribute to this community.
This being the 'Good Things' thread, I'll leave that there.

In the event of this being the end of the world, I would, however, also like to apologise to those who have already made arrangements for attending PaizoCon UK 2011 - when it was scheduled for July this year we had no idea that this was about to happen.
Umm, I just hope that those still around and able to attend are able to sort something out with the new management (whomever that may prove to be).... :)

The end time did not come.

I escaped from China in March... but it's finally working it's way out of my system. I feel at peace again.

3 months and counting before I am home again.

I'll be going home tomorrow evening. Looking forward to introducing Charlie to more family members.

Damn, treatment for health problems! I grok this.

There is now a safe treatment for my food allergies, but I can't get at it until I return to Canada. There is hope that I can eat junk food again!

I have had a flat tire and computer problems over the past few days, but by putting my shoulder to the wheel, I've been able to solve these problems on my own. YAY for self-reliance!

An old friend I had believed died years ago actually turned up to the store I work at. Turned out his Ex had waited until he was out of the country and put in a false death notice to get back at his family, and moving out to Africa for five years put him out of touch with everyone. Apparently he only just learned about it after coming back to Australia five months ago.

Even better, he's brought back a beautiful lady with him to get married in Australia and they already have twin girls, both seven months old. Manly Squeeing in progress.

Running across an old friend and falling into a whirlwind romance. (Whirlwind romance sounds absolutely terrible as a phrase, like something from a harlequin romance novel (and not the shadowrun Harley Quinn either, sadly.) but really it fits.)
