I love you people. I now have almost seven pages of goblin songs with which I can torment my players. There should be an album of goblin songs available here.

A slightly different rythm to this one

A Goblin Travel Song
Goblins march on dusty feet along the stones of Longshanks street.
When the fire leaves the sky and comes the time for day to die,
then the throat cries out for drink and the belly longs for meat.
Goblins march on dusty feet along the stones of Longshanks street.

A slicer gripped in bloody hands brings fear of death to Longshank's lands.
Stones* sparkle in the cold, tiny fires that won't grow old.
They light the way for goblin eyes, blood to drink and flesh to eat.
A slicer gripped in bloody hands brings fear of death to Longshank's lands.

Goblin teeth rip Longshank's neck and goblin blades slice Longshank's flesh.
The open eye* shines bright above, singing white of goblin love.
Goblins love to sing and eat; goblins love blood to drink
Goblins march on dusty feet along the stones of Longshank's street.

* Stones is a goblin reference to stars; the open eye is the moon

Goblin Trash Digging Song
Some broken glass, a pot thats red
makes a club to smash his head.
When we find a metal bit,
we makes a knife to slash the git.

Oh what a sorry, wretched fool,
that tosses out his own death's tool.
Goblins bite and hack and slash -
Goblins dig through Longshank's trash.
Goblins bite and hack and slash -
when we dig through Longshank's trashhh!

Just one more, this one a religious song...

Her Majesty in Terror Reigns
Goblin Hymn of Sacrifice*

To be sung slow and majestically

Sharp teeth bite, the blood rolls out.
Every night we scream and shout.
Dark eyes gleam, to see them bleed -
Her Majesty in terror reigns.

Sharp claws tear, the blood is sweet.
Every night we pound our feet.
Dark teeth grin, to hear our din -
Her Majesty in terror reigns.

Sharp blades stab, the flesh is weak.
Every night our songs we sing.
Dark skin burns, our souls to turn -
Her Majesty in terror reigns

Sharp stones cut, we sacrifice.
Every night will just suffice.
Dark throat drinks, we give our thanks -
Her Majesty in terror reigns.

* Some goblins have been observed crying or otherwise misty eyed while singing this solemn hymn prior to a sacrifice. However once the song is ended, goblins routinely break out in hysterical laughter, screaming, stomping and exhibiting loud exhuberance - just as the priest(s) falls upon the victim with teeth, claws, and knife.

Just an additional note - If you know the Christian Hymn, "Pierce my ear," the lyrics well fit the tune. Otherwise try singing it somewhat like "Amazing Grace."

Kudos to you poetic peeps!
These poems are going to make great Goblin bard songs for my game. Will just have to decide which 3 will be the best. Dont want to use them all or my game will just devolve into some twisted christmas carol singing evening rofl

These are great. Truly some of you people are just fantastic at this. Here is my try at it. I have included the original that I took it from for comparison.
Real song

Happy day, happy day
Glad to see you here today
I'm so glad you came my way
It's a happy day!

Come on in, stay a while
It's so nice to see you smile
We can dance and we can sing
And let the laughter ring
Fill your heart full of joy
Every single girl and boy
And before this day ends
Who knows, we may be friends

Goblin Song

Stabby day, stabby day
Glad to see you here today
Were glad you came this way
It’s a stabby day.

Come on in, see our smile
Eating you will take a while
We can dance and we can sing
And let the slaughter ring
Fill our guts full of joy
Eat the girls and the boys
And before this day ends
You be dead and all arend

Perhaps even have the real one sung by local children who the goblins then take up into their own perverted version. I just thought of that and I like it. So much fun theses Goblins be.

This is going off topic a tad, but can any one think of rhyms/ poems or stories for the Sandpoint Devil? You know like the little rhym the kids have for Das Kurvat (sp) when playing hopscotch.

Yeah...this is the best thread ever!

Goblin Cooking Song

Goblins don't like to chew
put babies in their stew

The softer the meat
the better the treat

Don't bother with a bowl
they'll just eat it whole

Give it to them do not linger
or they might just eat your finger

Try to take the plate away
and it will be you they slay

Your meat may be too tough
but they can't eat enough

Goblin War Song

"Eat The pickle,
we're not fickle!
Swing the sickle,
and make them tickle!"

"WE ARE THE GOBLINS OF THISTLETOP!"
Break them, kick them, make them sick them!
"WE ARE THE GOBLINS OF THISTLETOP!"
"Mash them, crash them, grab and smash them!"
"WE ARE THE GOBLINS OF THISTLETOP!"

Repeat until you get bored.
I think I need to make an MP3 out of this and the others I just cooked up.

The Sandpoint Devil

One then two and try to stay level,
or else you'll draw the Sandpoint Devil.

Three then four your in the game,
Beware the Sandpoints fire mane.

Five now six your starting to gamble,
The devil charges your gonna get trampled.

Seven or eight it's now too late,
Look at red eyes and see the hate.

Nine and then ten your frozen in place,
The Sandpoint Devil glares into your face.

Goblin Song for Taming Birds (Druidic)

Pick the maggots from your toes.
Feed those birds, the goblin crows.
Peck my eyes with your blacked beak.
Oh no my vision has sprung a leak.

Pluck the feathers from the birdie.
Keep it quiet or you'll be heardie.
Grab it's head and give it a twist.
If that doesn't work show him the fist.

Oh no look, it will not fly.
It could be the needle stuck deep in it's eye.
give it a poke, and then a kick.
If it won't move it's time to lick.

Yummy in the tummy as the black bird goes.
Theres always more maggots, and always more toes.

Oh no...I'm doing it again. It's becoming real.

These are awesome! Has anyone made the rest into actual WAV's or MP3's?? These would be great back ground music while gaming!

Sadly, yes. I'm having second thought about releasing them though do to the extreme geek factor threshold I have already crossed.

Say no to those who say less. Only moar, moar, moar!!!!!1!!1!!

Seriously, please release the rest.

And...you'd have my eternal gratitude if you would do a Rendition of Mumble Mumble scare crow from The Skinsaw murders in the style of an attic whisperer.

Please O Please release them!!! If I provide my email will you send them there?!?!??!!? Please O Please!!!

I'll probably post them after I re-record them, the quality of the audio is a little low for my standards.

So I will post a few as I get them fixed up.

I have them organized by possible encounters, say before you get to the goblin druid you may hear him humming a few songs from the thistles.

The Keep on Thistletop had a noisy ambiance, and goblins playing that crow game then busting into song. It is really, really, geeky.

I haven't cracked Skinsaw Murders book yet, as I'm a player but I'll peek at the lyrics and see what I can do.

That's GREAT dude! Expecially if you can get some up soon, like the next two weeks, my group will be hitting Thistletop for the first time our next session which is in two weeks.

What program(s) do you use to create them?

I use Sony Acid Pro to record the tracks via a real crappy headset for vocals. I do plan to rig up better recording gear for the new ones I post later. I own lots of gear and a lot just sits around so this is kinda fun to dust of the stuff and record again. My DM is going to point and laugh at me though.

I can get a few done in 2 weeks time I bet.

Sweet dude that would be GREAT!!!

So the program lets you augment the voice? Is it pretty easy to use? And is it a free downloadable program??

Acid Pro is not free, it's about $300.

Liberty's Edge

OUCH!

Ya Acid is not free, they do have trial versions and a lite version I think though. But I'm sure the one feature I use that probably is not free is the pitch shifting without altering the tempo of the track.

If you want to record some vocals however, I can "Goblin" it up for you and put music behind it. :)

If you want to do that I can get you a click track and we can collaborate on the tracks.

Sweet as soon as I can get my voice recorded doing the songs...need a program to do that, can't seem to do it through Windows Media. :(

There is a program called audacity that is free. If you are still looking for one.

Goblin Barn Burning Song

Goblins block the doors with sticks
To better keep in those that kicks
Light the place with stolen bright
Grin with glee as it goes alight
Sing a song and stomp your feets
Wait your turn while fire eats
When it gutters down and dies
Find cooked meats locked inside

So I had a dinner party with my Rise of the Runelords group and I tossed out these goblin songs, immediately they all started passing them around the room singing them, each one was putting their own spin on the songs. And of course goblins Christopher Wauken was great too. You guys are awesome, keep up the good work. We are resuming Burnt Offerings on Sunday.

Torches burn the little children,
all the children of the world
Goblins, we creep in at night,
throws a torch, and kids ignite
'cuz torches burn the little children of the world

Trickey Goblins

Goblins peak and goblins crawl,
Then we open bricked up walls,
Goblins jump and goblins walk,
Sneaky through the walls we stalk.

Goblins find and goblins dig,
and then we find new trap to rig,
Goblins laugh and goblins sing,
When the food-bell start to ring.

Goblins crawl and goblins peak,
and then we stab 'til no more speak,
Goblins walk and goblins jump,
flay the meat up on the stump.

Goblins happy to be home,
so good to crunch on human bone,
Goblins feed the goblin's pet,
Then we go, more traps to set.

Okay, this thread is awesome, and I want to make a goblin song now. So...

The Goblin Shadow Song

Hide in shadow,
bash the pup,
Find the widow,
cut her up.

Catch the child,
Kill the priest,
their flesh is mild
but tastes neat!

In the shadow
you have power,
in the meadow
the gnomes do cower.

Run in the dark,
run to hide,
when the dogs begin to bark
Time is what you must bide.

Make the longshanks fear your ire,
from the shadows you can fight!
Set the longshank town on fire
make them run where there isn't light...

I'm just going to mention Tom Waits' "Singapore" as a good inspiration for the cadence, instrumentation and general ambiance of the goblin songs here.

Nice work, everybody, these songs are incredible. I may make one myself...

Dead of night
Is time to fight
Cut and crush,
And burn and bite!

Hunt the meat
That bleeds and cries
Hobble feet
And gouge the eyes!

Break their fingers!
Box their ears!
Stake them on
A bed of spears!

Fall upon them
In a gang
By their guts
We'll make 'em hang!

With a wheezing
Gasp of breath,
They shall beg
Their gods for death!

EVEN BETTER: We ask James Jacob to pull it together as a GOBLIN SONGS CHOIR BOOK.

Here's a song my goblin character just started singing.
The Goblin Chase Song:
Goblins leap and goblins run!
Goblins move their legs for fun!
Silly cowards run away!
Stabbies mean that they will stay!

Run run run, ding ding dong,
Goblins never take too long!
That because we very fast!
Faster than gnomsies, fastness that lasts!

Faster than halflings, faster than dwarves!
Silly humans, too!
Faster than all the silly peoples!
Ours legs is best, whoo-hoo!

I picture it sounding something like that really annoying song they sing when the group reaches the city of Oz.

This is another song by Kobold Cleaver's goblin, Darst.

"Elfy goes and shoots his sticks!
Bastard child gets his kicks!
But he no more than stupid mutts!
Darst's good knifesy make some cuts!

Leap and slash, run and stabbed!
Bring nasty elfy down a tabbed!
His poor sister is been nabbed!
By his selfy, traitor elfy!"

Wow, these are great. We need some that deal with bombing stuffs. A Goblin Alchemist from the APG just sounds hilarious.

I'm about to run the party through a "Tucker's Kobolds" scenario, but with goblins. Can anyone give me a few songs that would be appropriate to that situation? Having the goblins taunt the PCs in song during game would be fantastic!
