Celestial Healer wrote:Just remember it's Horde...I should be able to do this tonight.Could you hop on at around 7pm Pacific (10pm Eastern)? I created a new character on that server a little while back that is still low level, but should work - the name is Ghaeron.
Thank you!
Yep. Thank you!

The Paizonian guild is back in business. It is a Horde guild on the Velen server. Right now I have Ghaeron - a tauren shaman (herbalism/alchemy).
I won't be on anymore tonight, but will try to be around this week in the evenings for a little bit here and there to catch anyone who would like to join.

Is this guild still operational ?
It is. A bit light on membership, but operational. Velen server, Horde. If you are interested in joining, post your character name here and I will try to find you.
One of the problems we are running into is that so many people on these forums who play regularly have guilds already and friends that they play with and so on. I would still like to find a way to make it work, though.

What time zone is Velen?
I have a decently geared, dual specced 80 Tauren Druid (Resto/Moon Turkey, Mining-Jewelcrafting) and a decently geared, dual specced 80 Orc Shaman (Resto/Enhance, Transmutaion Alchemy master) on a different server.
I may be interested in transfering if the guild is active enough and has enough members to get a solid 10 man raiding crew together. Im not a hardcore raider, but 1-2 nights a week raiding would be cool.

I've been playing my other server to get a character up to 55. As a result, Rittermort, an undead Deathknight, is now ready to serve the Paizo guild. (Once, he gets done with his intro quests).
P.S. I plan on having him take mining and blacksmithing.
I will look out for Rittermort. My schedule's a bit wonky this week because of jury duty, but hopefully I can get you guilded.

Velen is one of the US servers.
We're definitely trying to build up the guild, but, in all honesty, running 10 man raids for level 80s is a long way off. We would love to have you in, but it would probably be a long time before the other members of the guild caught up with that character. That's probably why a lot of people have been making alts for the guild, but then again that in itself might be part of the problem.
You can move your character to Velen, and be part of the guild that way, but you'd probably wind up doing pick-up raids outside the guild. Or you could go with a low level alt. I am hoping that with a larger group, we could start putting together some organized runs of lower level 5 man dungeons. (Even if you've done the content before, I feel like it will be a whole new experience with mature Paizo people, rather than the usual stuff that goes on in pick-up groups.)

Cool information...would be sweet to play with the people from the boards! I have a bunch of characters on Steamwheedle Cartel. Reluctant to switch servers, but perhaps a dedicated play day could be an option for me ^_^
Is the /paizo channel still in use? if so I'll keep an eye out for other gamers via that

Is there any way to link your profession in the guild area so others can see what we can make? I listed my chars' professions under the notes section for now. I have a blacksmith in training (Rittermort)so any enchanters or leatherworkers check with me for rods or buckles before spending at the AH.

I did some googling and we can check out our guildmates with wowarmory. Here is the link to Guild Paizonians
I did a quick perusal and we don't have a heck of a lot of variety in professions, or active members for that matter.

This thread has been very quiet, but I just want to let folks know that our little guild is still around, and it would still be better if there were more people. I just moved my level 63 druid Savendir to horde in order to join the guild, so I've been playing him in addition to Ghaeron the shaman (and GM).

I just tried the new looking for group mechanic, and all I can say is... awesome. I might try to do more dungeons with it now.
Reasons I like it:
1. It works across servers. This is huge. It expands the pool of potential players by a huge margin. I looked for a group during the day on a Monday (an otherwise slow time), and had one in about 2 minutes.
2. You choose a role (or you can choose multiple roles if you are flexible) and the system matches you up in a group of: Tank, Healer, 3 DPS. This is awesome for me since I tend to play healers... No more joining a group only to find they already have a healer and I have to fill a role for which I am not suited. By choosing the "healer" role, the system is ensuring that when I join a group I am designated as such. (Equally useful for members of healing or tanking classes that have DPS builds - you don't get roped into healing or tanking just because you can; someone else has already requested those roles.)
3. The random dungeon option is cool for when you just want to do any old dungeon. You get some extra swag when you complete the dungeon if you were using this option.
4. You get teleported into the dungeon when a group has been assembled. There was always the meeting stones, but to use them, two people still had to get there to begin with.
It helps that my druid had just gotten a new heal, so I was also enjoying trying that out. Anyway, anyone who hasn't tried this should do so.

CH, you had mentioned this the other day when we were on at the same time. I guess I am reluctant to join a dungeon group since I'm more of a tinkerer and I don't have the 733t mad skillz that others would be expecting. Also, I find dungeons tend to be resource sumps compared to the rewards - God, I hate Gnomeregan! I suppose I could join as a DPSer since it seems to less taxing. The tank and healer roles are more specific and require a thorough understanding of your class abilities, particularly tank,in my opinion (no offense, Healer).
Can you join a random group with a friend, or each has to do it separately? (It would be nice if there were other Paizos along with me)

I'm pretty sure you can group with a friend and then both request a random dungeon and be placed together.

Just passing by to cast a rez on this thread, as some recent posts about WoW could threadjack the Everquest II thread.
As I mentioned there, if someone is wandering on Argent Dawn (US server, RP, Eastern Time), send a whisper to Yago if you are on Alliance side.
And if you're on Horde, just wave.
I'll help if I can :)

I just picked the wow back up after an almost 5 month hiatus. I have several 80s on Dath'Remar-Alliance (oceanic PVE), an 80 pally on Ysera-Alliance (US PVE), and I just started a DK on Bladefist-Alliance (US-PVE) with a group of friends. I'm on the scroll of resurrection now, but if I can pull off managing my time well, I'll probly keep the subscription going.

btw I think the new Looking For Groups only works across servers of a specific Battlegroup. In my case (Fenris PvE), its the Whirlwind battlegroup.
I could be wrong as I never read too much about it, I just que up and go. But I usually see the same other server names (like Ravenholdt, Vashj, etc)
That is correct. As I understand it Battlegroups are realm servers which exist on the same LAN. The servers are grouped in clusters which are located in different locations so that one disaster does not take out the entire WOW multiverse.

Does anyone from the guild play on the server anymore? I've been on a couple of times, my friends list filled with the names of all the toons in the guild, and no one is on.
My roommate and I and possibly another friend are wanting to move our horde characters from another server over to another normal server and I suggested this one.
Anyway, was hoping to connect with someone from the guild, if it's still alive.
Right now on Velen, until further info, is my Blood Elf Death Knight Ssessividia.

waltero |

Yes. I am on every other week or so - alternating with my Alliance characters on a different server. 5 of the guildmembers are mine (Rittermort, Tatankah, Dimojo, Vatic and Mokrol), so you won't see more than one of those on at a time. I will add you onto my friends list as well.

Some of the changes are annoying (like I have no idea how to play my paladin anymore, and the focus thing with the hunter is taking some getting used to).
Anybody thought of an all-goblin guild? Thistletops of Golarion?
what spec Lilith? I'm holy main and my GL seems to have gotten used to prot, we have a few ret floating around the guild too.
As for Hunter, I've never played one so I have no idea there.

I was playing prot-spec dwarven pally, but I haven't dusted that character off in a while. I don't recall what spec Fallengrace was. May have to check it out.
I am having fun with my orc hunter (marksmanship) in Dustwallow right now.

Lilith, I play a human protection pally on my alliance server and I'm not an uber player, but it's fairly easy and fun. They have trimmed the spec trees down and combined some of the judgements (or is it seals? Am I confusing Inquisitor terms?). I like the fact that the one to restore mana on a hit and the one to restore health on a hit have been combined.
