I am really intrigued by the Playlists featured in this article, but I find I don't know a lot of the albums. Obviously the Carnivale soundtrack was featured heavily, but I'm particularly interested in the Savage Tide playlist. Is there any chance we can get these album names?

It's true that you can't just purchase individual tracks, but for the Savage Tide soundtrack, at least, I tried to keep the number of albums on the list narrow. Using multiple tracks from the same composer/same album really helps keep it all thematically similar. And in my opinion, those albums have a LOT of good stuff on them beyond what we used for the Savage Tide soundtrack, and if you're a fan of movie soundtracks, they're excellent choices to pick up. Especially the soundtracks to "Eaters of the Dead" and "The Omen III: The Final Conflict."

I'm feeling pretty dumb, but how do I find iMixes on iTunes? There used to be a tab on the store homepage, but, for the life (or iLife) of me, I can't find it now...can anyone point me in the right direction?

I followed the instructions carefully to get to the playlists on iTunes, but they don't appear to be listed - could this be because I'm accessing iTunes UK?
It would be very helpful to see the Battle, Horror & Town playlists listed in full, and also to see the Savage Tide mix album names too (as track titles such as 'Main Title' aren't too helpful).

I particularly like the soundtrack from the remake of The Fog, it's atmospheric enough to be appropriate for dungeon exploration but neutral enough that it isn't distracting. I like a lot of Graeme Revell's music for gaming; I leaned pretty heavily on the Sin City and Aeon Flux soundtracks for my d20 Modern game.

I really liked the article about D&D music. I found some very good and useful thrilling music. It is a pity though that I can't use the Imixes in the country I live in. Isn’t it possible to publish the lists also on the internet? At least I would like to know the albums on which I can find 'Main Title' and 'Religion'.

Paz makes a good point - last time I checked, we poor UK subjects are not able to access the iTunes US site, and the playlists don't seem to be available on the UK site.
Besides, I actually like buying my music on CD and then converting it to MP3s for my own use.
So, a listing of the albums used would be nice to have.

Given that purchasing the tracks from iTunes is complicated for non-iPod users, would it be possible, James, to get a list of the albums from which you selected the tracks in the Savage Tide play list so we could buy them from another source?
I'd like to add my voice to the request for an album listing, as someone else who has no access to itunes. Google answer the question for a lot of the tracks, but entries like "Main title" remains mysteries.

Yup - still not working. I updated to the most recent iTunes. I found 'More in Music' in the music store. There was nothing labeled "iMixes" only "iMix" so I clicked that. I typed "iDragon" in the search bar - no matches found. For kicks, I tried Savage Tide, used upper and lower cases, nothing.
Is this just a no-go in Canada, or something? It's a two step list of instructions, and I swear I'm following it.
For the Canadian/European Users: In iTunes, at the bottom of the store page, there's a pulldown menu where you can change the store. Choose "United States", then at the top left, click "Music", then "iMix" and search for iDragon. Works for me (Germany). Hope it helps.

I can't actually buy anything, but at least now I know what the lists looked like. *sigh* That was a few hours of total frustration.
So, while I can see the lists by switching to the U.S. version, my account will not allow me to purchase (nor to set up an account that would let me purchase, the option is only: switch back to Canadian store).

I just typed in the names of the tracks on iTunes. Most of the songs come off of the Master and Commander, Apocalypto soundtracks. I used them for the first time today. only issue I had is that combat against the Brotherhood Blockaid took so long that we heard the same song like 15 times I think. I gotta practice more with how to utilize these songs in my game. My PC's deffinately LOVED the music, just got a bit repetative.
PS...on iTunes you will have to download the entire album rather than just the individual tracks.
