The rap group "Dream Warriors" had a song called "role of the twelve sided die. with lyrics like "keep my hit points high and my AC low." (second edition) It was about taking the initiative in life.

Woah, there's a blast from the past. Never thought I'd see a reference to some good old hometown (toronto) talent on these boards. When I was in highschool I thought the song, 'wash your face in my sink' was very, very cool (the video had clips of the dream warriors sitting on huge 12-sided dice). It inspired me and a friend of mine to try and write our own rap... I wish I could find it now, all I can remember is the first line:

"I'll shoot you down with my arrows and my bow, once your hit that's it, there ain't no saving throw"
still cracks me up :)

Episode 5X01: .... (One of my favorite episodes, and not just because we get to see Scully "loosen up" a little.)

The best part of episode is Mulder's cell phone.

There was a TV show with Christina Applegate (post Married With Children) where she was being warned away froma potential boyfriend because he invited her over to play D&D. Details are sketchy, as I didn't actually see the episode.

(I didn't think that D&D song was funny - I'm not offended or anything, it just semed lame to me)

Interestingly there was a guy on--some guy from a comedy news show, who was REALLY into D&D and spend a good chunk of his interview bragging up his 20th level paladin character--leaving Conan baffled with absolutely no idea what the guy was talking about. It was great.
Steven Colbert. Dig around on YouTube and you'll find it. It's hilarious.

the Vin Deisel one is great too
