Drat. Paizo got more money out of me. What's my wife going to say? I can only hand wave in front of so many D&D purchase costs. We're still in the first third of AoW, not even thinking about STAP. Gah! Impulse buying!
Thanks for all the cool stuff Paizopeople. More please! (No no no, no more. I'll end up living in a trailer down by the river...)

Dryder wrote:Is it true, that the guide will be downloadable for free in a few months?!Yup. I'm not sure how long it'll take to get it online, but I'd like to have it available as soon as possible after issue #139 starts reaching subscribers and newsstands. It might take a few weeks, but hopefully it'll be available as a free PDF download some time early next month.
This week or Next!Common on JJ use those new super Editor-in-Chief powers. (Also can you get #issue 114 up as PDF).

Wow, I wish I didn't buy this thing- keep in mind that it actually costs 10$. and to think that it will be released for free on the web is a bit of an insult. LOOK AT ME! I just paid 10 dollars for something I could have for free! Yippee!
the info in the guide is ok- maybe 3 of the pages are truely useful. - the feats, the watch details ( which could have been condensed to a paragraph) the info on exotic pets...maybe- depends on future adventures. But come on 10 dollars? Big waste.

It's interesting... the info was here all along that it was going to be released free. I am shocked that anyone is surprised by this. Most of us who bought this wanted a professionally printed copy for our collections with anything else we can get for any of the adventure paths.
As for the useful info, I am mostly interested in most of the things you didn't mention on your list. To me, feats and lists of animals to buy aren't interesting... background setting is.
I think it was great. Well worth the money I put into it even if it were to only be good for a preview of things to come (and I have a guess I will get more use out of it than that).

we got the map with the adventure- Yes we did know it was going to be printed for free- and if the majority of the info in the guide was useful i wouldn't mind having paid 10 dollars for it.
but really- it is a bunch of fluff. is it worth 5 dollars? maybe. is it worth 10.05? no. is it worth free? yes. It just seems that it would have made a fine article for dragon magazine.it's 70% the same stuff as is in the background article in dragon! If the next AP uses this gimick- i won't fall for it.
