I love ice cream. Thrifty's Marbled Fudge was my first love, and I lament that when I moved from Arizona to Maine that Thrifty's ice cream would leave my life.

I love Swensen's Ice Cream Parlor. That's where I met my second love... Swiss Chocolate Chip.

I love the little ice cream shops in Maine. They're all over the place, and open during the winter.

I love Egg Nog ice cream, from Baskin Robbins. It's something I can appreciate year after year, since it only comes out for the winter holidays.

I love Baskin Robbins. I love Peanut Butter and Chocalate milk shakes. I love little clown ice cream cones. I love ice cream cakes.

I love Dairy Queen (the Texas stop sign). I love mint oreo cookie blizzards.

I love ice cream shops where a "small cone" is two scoops in a waffle cone.

I love Breyer's for bringing Almond Joy ice cream to my life.

I love Ben & Jerry's. Long live Chunky Monkey!

I love what gaming has helped inspired me to pursue many of the real adventures I have had in my life, exploring ruined temples, castles, markets, shrines, and cities across the globe.

I love that gaming gave me the push I needed to take up martial arts, training and eventually teaching.

I love that D&D helped inspire me to study folklore and history in university.

I love D&D and time around the table has been time away from bars and bad habits.

I love writing, and that D&D isn't, that it allows me to create and be a character.

I love that D&D is collaborative in a way that other storytelling and games are not.

I love the SCAP

I love the d4

I love the d6

I love the d8

I love the d10

I love even more the d12

I love the d20

I love the d100

I love getting together with my friends for an afternoon of D&D

I love making a break during the game for supper and a cold beer

I love DMing low-level campaign

I love when my players DESTROY the bad guys!

I love Paizo Editions

I love the "by the book" philosophy of my players...

...That's it for now!

Mmmm....beer...

MMmmm...I like my beer opaque and chewy...

More on subject with the thread:

I love playing a campaign that lasts more than 2 years, and continuing to pick up those characters anytime the original players get together (we graduated college and dispersed), then sending out memos so everyone knows what happened and continuity is maintained. Really, I love the fact that the aforementioned campaign is one reason we DO manage to get together despite the five of us being stretched thinly between coasts!

I love dropping a big, steamy pile of CR on unsuspecting PCs in the middle of the night, then watching as the players realize they CAN win after all.

I love meeting new players who think there's more to PC life than a d20 roll.

I love painting minis that will likely only be used in the one encounter scheduled for this week and never seen in-game again.

I love building Hirstarts dungeons for those minis.

I love the look on my players' faces when I hand out the personalized mini representations of the PCs they've played for more than 2 years.

I love cracking open a new rule book.

I love players who never touch a prestige class.

I love Dragonlance (and therefore I love Sovereign Press).

I love the game, and what it does to all of us.

I love being a 12yr RPG vet!

Things I love:

1. That the wise ones at WotC got rid oif the dreaded THAC0...

2. The horrified anticipation of my victims...oops players when I walk into the room cause they know that my Doom and Gloom machine is running at peak performance...

3. I love the look of abject terror on the faces of the characters when out of no where they see a little girl playing in the street...in front of them...

4. The players/Characters spend valued time working on a tactical plan with their heads hunkered down as if their very lives depend on it, they come up with an excellent plan that would work, they look up at me, tell me thier plan, tell me they are ready...There is a pause and a silence...And then the looks on their face when I raise an eyebrow (Spock Like) and say the four most fear inducing words ever...'You Can Try That." No emotion on my face and in a complete monotone...

5. Being the player in a real intense game no matter how long...

6. Steve Jackson...

7. Kevin Sembeida...

8. When me and my gaming friends are out and about, we see someone trip and we look at eachother with the same thing on our minds and coming out of our mouths..."I guess he failed his walking roll."...

9. Bumper stickers that say 'Driver is Chaotic Neutral' or 'Baby Juicer on Board.'...

There are no wise ones at WotC. Perhaps there were, but they were fired.

That notwithstanding -- yes, THAC0 was a thing of pure, unadulterated evil, next to which the Hand of Vecna was a child's toy. Good riddance :)

All the wise ones went to Paizo or other good places leaving WotC to stagnate and create things like Eberron. If you want creativity look at many sources, but not WotC anymore. They are Hasbro.........maybe Parker Bros. should try to run D&D next. Hasbro.....nuff said.

Ilove when the entire party works together to bring down a dragon.

I love demons with huge pincers.

I love the fact that my fighter can brutally slaughter hundreds of weaklings a day without a hint of remorse, but cries when he kills the hot lady blackguard that nearly eviserated him

Great thread idea...it's so easy to focus on the negative :(

I love how v3.5 has gotten old players excited about the game again.

I love how my wife humoured me and tried D&D out...and loves it.

I love it when every player is excited about playing, and is paying attention!

I love the epic battle that increases the session intensity.

I love making characters, even if they never see use.

I love DM'ing, and that my friends aren't tired of it yet.

I love creating new quirky NPCs, fresh descriptions, and ways to keep the players interested.

I love when players use spells other than the direct damage ones (ie. Glitterdust).

I love it when a player roleplays something, rather than just using a diplomacy roll, etc.

I love the interest AoW has generated in my players.

I'd better cap it at that for now...there's just so much.

J-

I love that fact that Dungeon 133 was waiting for me in my mailbox when I got home from vacation.

Hi! I'm new to this, it's my first post, and what I love about DnD are low level characters, there's something about the simplicity of playing a 3rd level elven ranger as opposed to a 13th level paladin/sorcerer/monk. I mean come on, when your PC requires more than half the handbook , i'ts time to come back to basics.

Since I'm new, here's what you need to know about me:

I'm a Canadian from Montreal, I'm 26 years old, I'm a warehouse worker for a major cheese company(ooooh, the pride), I've been playing DnD since I'm 14, I've bought just about every book they came out with for the 3rd edition, and UltraDan is my DM since I'm 16. Here's the proof : one evening he got so drunk, Mongrelman and I had to calculate his odds of hiting us at Battletech, then we brought him home. Salut Dan !

Thank you for sharing that with the world. (Forgot to mention that I haven't done that in about eight years or so.)

Ok. New house rule: Every time you mention the words ULTRADAN and DRUNK in the same sentence on these boards, you'll receive an automatic penalty of 200xp (times level) at our next session.

I love DMing!

I also love playing D&D with the same group again ten years later(thanks to AoW for getting us back together)and finding out that I enjoy it even more now. Sadly, I also love narcotics so let's hope I stick around long enough to see the end of the AP! :)

I love the fact that they are already painted (Lets thank Hasbro and cheap foriegn labor)
